Monster Enlargement

The Life Berries (ライフベリー Raifuberī) were the hearts of the Trinoids in Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger as well as what enlarged them. They could also be used in select other creations not classified as Trinoids.

Method[]

Upon the Trinoid's defeat, if their Life Berry survived, it would emerge from the debris that was once their body and explode into a massive black thundercloud. The thundercloud would then start pouring rain onto the Trinoid's remain before the rain (laced with a bacterium that enlarges the remains) would make their remains warp and enlarge, They would then combine in a pixelated effect to reform themselves as a giant. In the event that their Life Berry doesn't survive however, they cannot be revived as giants and they can only be used once for each Trinoid.

History[]

The Trinoids and their Life Berries are painted to life by Apostle of Creation Mikela using his magic paintbrush. The first Trinoid unleashed is Trinoid 4: Bakudandelion who is swiftly destroyed by the Dino Bomber but enlarges so is destroyed by AbarenOh. Tvicon TV STORY-Ep. 3: Children's Hero Abare System

After the revived Bakudelion, Trinoid 5: Hakkarasniper and Trinoid 7: Jishakunagengorou are all killed by the Abarangers, they do not grow as their Life Berries do not survive their explosions. Tvicon TV STORY-Ep. 13: The Abare Hand Topknot!

Trinoid 12: Yatsudenwani is not killed and instead enslaved by AbareKiller before later redeeming himself so his Life Berry has never been used. Tvicon TV STORY-Ep. 18: Who is It? It's AbareKiller!

The Hexanoid is created by Mikela using six components instead of the usual three. After her defeat, her Life Berry cannot enlarge her since it cannot handle the strain of assembling so many components. Tvicon TV STORY-Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger DELUXE: Abare Summer is Freezing Cold

Trinoid 13: Mukadenpansy is able to deliberately delay his Life Berry from resurrecting him so that he can attack AbarenOh and KillerOh at once. Tvicon TV STORY-Ep. 23: Abare EM Wave Dogyuun!

When Mikoto kills the Evoranger in Abare Mode, they are completely vaporized by his attack so their Life Berries do not survive. Mikoto later uses a Life Berry to create KillerGhost although it is not a Trinoid. Tvicon TV STORY-Ep. 30: Ultimate Evil! Abarevolian Formation

After AbareMax kills KillerGhost, it does not grow for a second time as its Life Berry does not survive its explosion. Tvicon TV STORY-Ep. 13: The Abare Hand Topknot!

KillerGhost is later revived by Rejewel who recreates it with a Life Berry as which also upgrades it with more power than before and to act as a medium for her voice. It immediately grows giant but is shrunk down by AbarenOh and killed by Asuka. However, it does not grow giant for a second time since its Life Berry was already spent making it grow beforehand. Tvicon TV STORY-Ep. 40: The Abare Armor Beheading!

After Dezumozorlya forcibly fuses Mikela and Voffa together into DezumoVoorla, which is then killed by KillerOh, no more Trinoids or Life Berries can be created. Tvicon TV STORY-Ep. 48: The Final Abare Game

The final Life Berry emerges with Trinoid 0: Saunaginnan (previously sealed away by Mikela for being a failure) after he teams up with Ginjifuan Kazak to revive the Evolian. After the D-Bazooka and Dino Bomber slay him, his Life Berry emerges and enlarges him only for Killer AbarenOh to kill him anyway. Tvicon TV STORY-Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger vs. Abaranger

With all of the Trinoids and Mikela dead, no more Life Berries can be created.

Notes[]

  • The Giganoids did not have an equivalent as they were giant sized by default.
  • Due to changing how the monsters of Dino Thunder worked, the Life Berries were not adapted and were replaced by a machine that generated rainstorms instead.
    • However, when the Hydro Regenerator was activated, the viewers can see the Life Berry that generated the storm-cloud.
