Icon-liveman This article is about a changer in Choujuu Sentai Liveman.

Twin Brace (ツインブレス Tsuin Buresu): The Livemen's two-piece transformation device. The right wrist is the one with the animal icon. When transforming by themselves, they transform by saying their name (i.e. "Red Falcon!", "Yellow Lion!", "Blue Dolphin!" etc.). Starting with episode 4, they shout "Liveman!". The transformation is shown through 3-D models of the team which form the suit around them. This transformation is only used for the original trio, with no version available for later additions Black Bison and Green Sai (where the whole team turned into spheres of light that moved them backwards before appearing transformed, which was the sequence used when the original 3 members transformed when battling the enemies in human form) until the last episode. However, the sequence was redone and versions for them (with all the Livemen's 3D models, more similar to their suits, "frozen" in their rollcall poses) were done during a Gokai Change in homage. Tvicon TV STORY-Ep. 30: Just a Lone Friend's Soul

At the climax of the Legend War, the Twin Braces were made redundant when the Livemen sacrificed their powers with the rest of the first 34 Super Sentai to destroy the invasion force of the Space Empire Zangyack. Resurfacing as Ranger Keys, the Liveman powers would be used by the Gokaigers to assume their forms via the Gokai Change. Ultimately, the Gokaigers returned their borrowed powers to their rightful owners after overthrowing Zangyack.

Notes[]

  • Even though Black Bison & Green Sai joined the team later on, all five Twin Braces still have only the initial Trio's colors.
  • When the toy version of the Twin Brace was sold in Japan it came only with the original trio's icons. The ones for Black Bison and Green Sai were not included in the DX, but were distributed by "Bandai Customer Center" via mail-order for 200 yen or as a giveaway prize by TV-Land magazine.
  • The Twin Brace was the first transformation device to have a sound feature.
