This article is about a monster enlarger in Power Rangers Dino Thunder. |
- "Activating the Hydro-Regenerator!"
- ―Mesogog
The Hydro Regenerator is a device stored within Mesogog's lair that acts as the primary means for monsters to grow in Dino Thunder.
History[]
To make his monsters grow, Mesogog would activate the Hydro-Regenerator, summoning a rain cloud in the skies which would pour down rain upon the chunky monster remains. The rain would revitalize the parts and make them clump together, making them expand and reform into the giant monster.
The Hydro-Regenerator was presumably built sometime after Tommy Oliver attacked Mesogog's Island a year before the events of Dino Thunder since the entire island was seemingly destroyed by that event. TV STORY-Day of the Dino
The Hydro-Regenerator was first seen being used to grow Birdbrain after his failure to destroy the Dino Thunder Rangers and would be used to grow almost every monster after that. TV STORY-Wave Goodbye
The Hydro-Regenerator can also work on monsters that weren't created by Mesogog or his flunkies, such as when he grew Tutenhawken. TV STORY-Tutenhawken's Curse
The Hydro-Regenerator was destroyed when Mesogog's Island was obliterated by the Triceramax Command Center Truck. TV STORY-Thunder Struck
Notes[]
- The only monsters not grown by the Hydro-Regenerator were Goldenrod (who made himself grow), the second White Terrorsaurus (who grew himself instead), the third was Fossilador (who made himself grow) and Fridgia (who never grew as she was her own separate entity and never associated with Mesogog).
- The reason is because both Giganoid 4: Resurrection and Giganoid 2: Eroica (the Sentai counterparts of Fossilador and Goldenrod respectively) were Giganoids, who were already giant-sized to begin with, with their smaller-sized appearance being American footage.
- While Rojobot's Sentai counterpart was a Giganoid, he did used a mix of Hydro Regenerator's Sentai footage and his first appearance when he was enlarged.
- Unlike in Abaranger, the Hydro-Regenerator is not a fruit and instead a machine.
