Ranger X

Casey Jones is a vigilante in New York City and an ally of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He also led the Ninja Rangers after the Mighty Morphin team lost their ability to morph.

Later, in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II, Casey was kidnapped by Shredder & Krang, who brainwashed him & turned him into the evil Ranger X before he was saved by his friends, he later helped the Dimension X Rangers.

History

After Shredder disabled the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers through a molecular disruption field, Casey Jones jumped into battle. Having been outmatched by the Green Ranger Shredder & the Foot Clan, Casey Jones & the unpowered Rangers retreated back to the Command Center. Meanwhile, as Wyldfyre was attacking Angel Grove, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles used the Power Morphers and Power Coins to morph into the Turtle Rangers to fight against Wyldfire. Zordon teleports Casey and the Rangers in the New York City Sewers and regrouped with Master Splinter. After Master Splinter built confidence within the unpowered Rangers, the unpowered Rangers suited up to become the Ninja Rangers. Casey Jones led the Ninja Rangers to the Foot Clan's base to rescue Tommy Oliver while Tommy rescued and recruited his friend Tyler. They battled against Baxter Stockman's group of hybrid soldiers called the Putty Soldier Elite, powerful Foot Clan warriors empowered with Putty substances. Casey and the others retreated back to the Command Center. TV STORY-MMPR/TMNT Issue 4

After the battle with Rita and Shredder, Casey Jones tells Tommy that he'll put Tommy's friend Tyler and Tyler's ex-Foot Clan soldier friends on his own clean-up crew for them to atone for their crimes. TV STORY-MMPR/TMNT Issue 5

Behind the Scenes

Design

• His Ranger X suit is inspired by his trademark vigilante outfit.
• The colored trims on his Ranger X suit was originally intended to be red but he was then given pinkish tones to differentiate his form's color from Raphael's Dimension X Red Ranger form color as the artist Dan Mora didn't need two Dimension X Red Rangers.

Notes

• While not given a designated color name, since all Dimension X Rangers have black rangers suits with colored trims, Casey Jones is a Pink Ranger, making him the fourth male Pink Ranger after Zack Taylor and Daniel O'Halloran in the comics and Kian Hart in Day of Destiny.
