Birdbrain was a cybernetic crow/menthe-themed monster and the very first monster to battle the Dino Thunder Rangers. He served as the main antagonist of the Power Rangers Dino Thunder episode "Wave Goodbye".
History[]
Birdbrain is the first of Mesogog's Mutations to be created and sent to attack Reefside after Zeltrax's failed attack by the Biozords.
After the Dino Rangers and Dr. Tommy Oliver successfully manage to save the Raptor Rider eggs from Zeltrax, Elsa, and the Tyrannodrones, Mesogog decides to create Birdbrain to destroy them in retaliation.
Birdbrain attacks Reefside, wreaking havoc on the city as he battles the Rangers but flies away after being blasted by Conner and Ethan. However, the Rangers managed to follow him with their new Raptor Riders and obliterate him with the Z-Rex Blaster.
After being resurrected and enlarged by Mesogog's Hydro Regenerator, Birdbrain is confronted by the Thundersaurus Megazord which he blasts but they cut off his riffle barrel with the Pterarang and finish him off with the Dino Drill.
Personality[]
Birdbrain is shown to be destructive and only cares about wrecking havoc in the city.

Powers[]
- Strength: Despite being one of Mesogog's first monsters, Birdbrain was able to easily outmatch all three Dino Rangers in battle and was also able to outmuscle Kira when she grabbed his blaster and a single kick sent her flying to the ground.
- Armor: Being a cyborg, Birdbrain possesses strong armor to withstand hits from his enemies, being able to shrug off a kick and a number of punches from Kira, a blast from Ethan's Thundermax Blaster and one from Conner's own merely made him stumble back. When enlarged, he was struck multiple times by the Thundersaurus Megazord's Pterarang but only cringed in pain.
- Flight: Being a bird-type monster, Birdbrain could fly in high speeds.
- Agility: Birdbrain was extremely agile whilst flying as he was easily able to dodge a car and a building with just a few seconds to spare.
- Super Speed: Birdbrain could fly fast enough to outrace the Dino Rangers on foot but they caught up with him on their Raptor Riders.

- Extraordinary Leaper: Birdbrain could jump incredible distances.
Weaknesses[]
- Laser Gun Reliance: Birdbrain relied upon his blaster for combat. When the Pterarang cut off its barrel, he was helpless against the Thundersaurus Megazord.

- Wrist Blades: Even without his blaster, Birdbrain possesses blades on his wrists to aid him in combat.
- Bird Laser Gun: Birdbrain carried a laser gun that has two usages when in combat:
- Club: Birdbrain could use the end of his laser gun in a similar manner to a club.
- Shoulder Blaster: Birdbrain could mount his blaster on his right shoulder to fire red energy lasers.

Etymology[]
- Birdbrain was never properly named and was only referred to as "Birdbrain" by Ethan.
Notes[]
- Although his voice actor is unknown, his voice actor might have been Jim McLarty, since his voice is very similar to Skortch. This is most evident when he grunts.
- Although Birdbrain was the first monster in Power Rangers Dino Thunder, Creature from the later three-part episode "White Thunder" was originally the first.
- This was changed due to the Creature's power revolving around very realistic missiles with the monster later appearing exclusively in American footage.
