Balban Extract

Balban [Citation needed]from 15 April 2023 (UTC), or Barban Extract (バルバンエキス, Baruban'ekisu) was a special formula used by the Space Pirates Balban to enlarge themselves and their monsters in Seijuu Sentai Gingaman.

History

The origins of the Balban Extract and how they enlarged monsters are unknown other than the fact that the Space Pirates Balban made use of them.

After the failure of the first attack on Earth, Gun Boss Sambash's Sambash Majin Gang are the first to attack with their Balban Extract container being a liquor bottle with their wing pin insignia attached. The first to use Balban Extract is Kolshizer after Ryouma defeats him with his Starbeast Sword. TV STORY-Chapter 2: The Return of the Starbeasts

After the death of Gurinjii, Sambash desperately opens the box containing the Lights of Ginga to redeem himself with Captain Zahab only for it to be empty. Driven insane by stress, Sambash lacks Balban Extract so attempts a suicide attack on a hidden motorcycle only to be slain by Ryouma. TV STORY-Chapter 12: Nightmare Reunited

The next group to emerge are the Budoh Majin Mob under Samurai General Budoh whose Balban Containers are hyoutans, gourd-like container with their diamond shaped sunrise insignia on them. The first to use it is Komuhachi. TV STORY-Chapter 13: Beast Attack Reversal

After being mortally wounded by the Gingamen in the Beast Armor Shine, Dotoumusha pulls out his Balban Extract container to grow giant. However, he drops it and falls onto it and explodes which prevents him from growing. TV STORY-Chapter 23: End of the Contest

After framing Budoh, Spectral Empress Iliess becomes the new active general with the Iliess Majin Tribe as the active monsters. Their Balban Extract container is a leather waterskin with their eye symbol on it. The first to use it is Wangawanga as Medoumedou didn't have one when Budoh killed her. Despite Illes' death, the Demon Beast Daitanix is awakening so the Battobas Majin Corps are told to find ways to awaken it. Their Balban Extract container is an ale barrel inscribed with their anchor logo. The first to use it is Bammers. TV STORY-Chapter 35: Gouki's Choice

Bazoogas is loaded with bullets laced with Balban Extract as part of a plan made by Dark Merchant Biznella. Bazoogas will shoot people with the bullets, growing them to giant size so that they can awaken Daitanix by massaging its heart and improving blood-flow. This fails when he accidentally enlarges Saya and he is later killed. TV STORY-Chapter 39: The Heart's Massage

Biznella creates a special band of Balban Extract dubbed Rapid Grow Extract (急速成長抽出物, Kyūsoku seichō chūshutsu-mono) into a giant pool that they can use it to make the Earth Demon Beast awaken but ends up thrown into it and becomes Majin Biznella. After being blasted by the Beast Attack Rods, he is betrayed by Battobas and grown with a gas-fired needle filled with Balban Extract to destroy the Gingamen. TV STORY-Chapter 47: The Demon's Scheme

Although the pool of Balban Extract seeps into the Earth and awakens the Earth Demon Beast, it is very weak so Mizziles is sent with a missile filled with Balban Extract to awaken it. Although he dies at the hands of GingaiOh, he is successful in launching the missile and awakening the creature. TV STORY- Chapter 48: Moak's End

Although the Earth Demon Beast awakens, it is human sized so the Gingamen try to vaporize it only for it to survive. Battobas then arrives to feed it Balban Extract but ends up eaten as well by the Earth Demon Beast. TV STORY-Chapter 49: The Miraculous Mountain

The last supply of Balban Extract is destroyed when the Rowdy Invincible Castle by BullTaurus' Great Bison Fierce Cut. As such, Zahab is unable to drink it and grow giant after being slain by the Gingamen. TV STORY-Final Chapter: Tomorrow's Legends

• Although the monsters in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy initially drunk potions to grow giant, this was eventually fazed out due to alcoholic implications in favor of them growing giant at will.
