Traitor! (裏切り者ォッ！ Uragirimonoō!) is the seventh episode of Gosei Sentai Dairanger. It is the start of a two-part story involving the battle with Archbishop Saw and his servant, Iron Face Chouryou, as well as hints at the greater difficulties in the Dai/Gorma conflict.
Synopsis[]
A higher-ranked Gorma sends out a powerful warrior who can control both qi and you-energy and whom Kaku does not wish Ryo to encounter.
Plot[]
Within a Gorma stronghold, Shadam curses the Dairangers for reviving the Mythical Qi Beasts, with Gara worrying they need a way to stop them. Suddenly, strange laughter echoes through their warehouse as a platoon of Cotpotros arrive with a hooded man in a palanquin. Setting up a red carpet, High Priest Riju appears, stating it's been a long time and offering his help in defeating the Dairangers. Riju calls forth Iron Face Chouryou, and Zaydos attacks him. Chouryou deflects his attack, and Riju punishes Zaydos for attacking his apprentice.
Elsewhere, Ryo and his sister Yoko are visiting a grave to their mother and father. Ryo asks his sister if she ever dreamed about their dad, which she states no as their father passed when she was a baby. Ryo states he still dreams of him, but always not able to see his face. They agree they would visit the grave more often.
In the city, Shoji is helping Rin carry her shopping when a boy started floating away. They chase after him, and Shoji manages to catch him, but then a construction crane drops a beam on them. They dodge out of the way, and Shoji calls for the boy to run. Iron Face Chouryou appears, and the two Dairangers transform. They fight Chouryou as KirinRanger and ShishiRanger appear on their Kiber Machines. They use their special moves against Chouryou, but he manages to reverse their attacks using Qi-Power. He then launches an attack using Yo Power, and knocks down the Dairangers. As Chouryou launches the Exploding Great Earthquake attack, all the Dairangers except TenmaRanger falls into the crack. TenmaRanger tries to retaliate, but was knocked out of his transformation. Chouryou gives Shoji an ultimatum, tell Kaku to come to Hell Valley and face him at 3 O' clock, and if he's late the three Dairangers will die. Chouryou disappears just as Ryo arrives.
At headquarters, Shoji and Ryo questions Kaku on who Chouryou is. Kaku explains Chouryou was a member of the previous team of Dairangers 6000 years ago, who betrayed his team to the Gorma. Ryo swears he will defeat him, and Kaku tells him to come with him. Kaku then locks Ryo in a room, and tells Shoji to not let Ryo out until he returns. Ryo begs Shoji to let him out, but Shoji refuses. It is then Ryo finds a small window in the room he's locked in. Shoji hears the sound of glass breaking, and with some hesitation, opens the door to check. Shoji looks at the window, and Ryo knocks him out from behind.
Kaku arrives at Hell Valley, with the three Dairangers tied up on a hill behind Iron Face Chouryou. Kaku questions why Chouryou betrayed them, and Kaku affirms he betrayed them for true power. Not wanting to talk any more, they prepare to fight. Ryo arrives and tries to free his teammate, he got caught, which distracts Kaku for long enough for Chouryou to slash him. As Ryo transforms, he tries to fight off Chouryou but was knocked away. As Chouryou declares his victory he prepares to kill Ryo. As the strike is about to land, Kaku was forced to reveal that Ryo is actually Chouryou's son.
