Captured Peebo (つかまったピーボ Tsukamatta Pībo) is the seventh episode of Choudenshi Bioman. This is the first of a two-part story involving Joy, a friend of Peebo from planet Bio and more regarding the true fate of the doomed planet. Productionwise, this is likewise the first episode that begins a peculiar transition for Mika Koizumi (Yellow4), where Yuki Yajima appears in the Sentai footage but is not voicing her own dialogue; instead being voiced by anime voice actress Mayumi Tanaka. This is a matter which will culminate with Bioman's tenth episode.
In the Philippine English Dub, the title of the episode changed to "Peebo's Mysterious Friend".
Synopsis[]
When Peebo discovers a letter from a friend from Bio, it inspires Doctor Man to start a plot involving making the robot believe that his friend has returned after 500 years.
Plot[]
An old friend of Peebo's from the Bio Star tries to contact him in order to get reacquainted after 500 years in space hyper-sleep. But Doctor Man intercepts the message and makes a plan to capture Peebo, forcing the Biomen to surrender.
Despite the Biomen's best efforts, Doctor Man's forces manage to capture Peebo's friend. This causes Peebo's circuits to go crazy as he cannot stand to see his friend in pain. The Biomen have no choice but to chain Peebo up like a dog to prevent him from doing something crazy and reckless. The Biomen try to make good the rescue of Peebo's friend, but have a run-in with one of Doctor Man's mighty mecha.
Peebo then frees himself and ends up getting captured. Peebo does not know this, but his friend is a Mecha-clone in disguise.
