Ep. 6: The Final Battle! The Great Adventure of Tokonatsu Castle (決戦！常夏城の大冒険 Kessen! Tokonatsu-jō no Dai Bōken) is the sixth episode of No.1 Sentai Gozyuger. It features the debut of TegaSword Black and the defeat of Tokonatsu Atami. Kuon makes a brief appearance in this episode; albeit in a flashback.
Synopsis[]
Tokonatsu suddenly quits his position as prime minister and joins forces with the Buraidan!? Hoeru and the others are summoned to "Tokonatsu Castle" and must face a variety of challenges in order to win the ring. They play tag, dodgeball, and even wear wigs and costumes to play "real tricks"...! What on earth is Tokonatsu thinking? What wish does he want to make come true...?
Plot[]
Hoeru, who is watering his succulents while standing in TegaSword Red, is seen drawing people paying attention to him. Ryugi finds Hoeru and berates him again for using TegaSword on mundane task, with Hoeru arguing back that since he's fired from another part time job, he thought he can be self-sufficient. Ryugi threatens Hoeru to throw a nearby SUV car to him if he continues with this antic, forcing Hoeru to relent and be dragged back to Cafe Half Century.
A worried Kinjiro greets Hoeru as the Gozyugers watch the Breaking News: Tokonatsu Atami is forced to resign his position as The Prime Minister due to his Zanglass Sword apparently violating the Firearms and Sword Possession Control Law. Just as Hoeru tried to process the unexpected news, an Ai, wearing a deliveryman outfit delivers the Gozyugers a letter. When Ryugi opens the letter, the Buraidan Postcard inside suddenly gets enlarged and converted into a holographic video message.
Greeting them is one of the Buraidan generals, Mr. Shining Knife & Mrs. Sweet Cake, who promptly informed them that they had welcomed a new ally. This new ally is in fact, Tokonatsu Atami himself, much to the shock of the Gozyugers, especially Sumino who cannot believe that the Ex Prime Minister quickly turned into villainy akin of a terrorist. Tokonatsu declared his goal to rule the country once more after being ousted from unjust reasons, and to collect all the remaining Sentai Rings to fulfill his dream. To do that, Tokonatsu challenges the Gozyugers to go to a pinpointed place, where he promptly creates a fortress (dubbed as Tokonatsu Adventure Castle) using the power of Boukenger Sentai Ring. With the video message ending with Tokonatsu usng a reversed version of his catchphrase ("Death Sunshine"), Hoeru declares that Tokonatsu will be hunted exclusively by him.
The scene shifted with the Gozyugers arriving at Tokonatsu's castle, with Hoeru declaring that whoever get Tokonatsu Rings will be the one who kept it, to each other members agreement with No hard feelings. Predictably, Tokonatsu didn't let the Ring Hunt on him be easy as he announced via a sound system that the Gozyugers will need to face several trials in order to be eligible to fight him. The first Trial is shown to be a game of Tag, in which the Gozyugers need to tag every silver Ais present in a room. This trial is easily completed by the joint effort of Hoeru and Kinjiro as GozyuWolf and Eagle respectively.
Meanwhile, at Buraidan's base, Fire Candle angrily complains to Mr. Shining Knife and Mrs. Sweet Cake as to why did they allow a human like Tokonatsu to cooperate with them. Mr. Shining Knife explained that Tokonatsu is competent enough to be valuable, while Mrs. Sweet Cake added that should Tokonatsu become an obstacle for them, they can simply dispose of him. While Fire Candle understands their reasoning, he just cannot accept the former Prime Minister that easily, prompting him to ask Mr. Shining Knife and Mrs. Sweet Cake if he could meddle with this 'game' they created. Mr. Shining Knife allowed Fire Candle's interference as long as they could obtain a Sentai Ring in return, while Mrs. Sweet Cake heavily opposes of this. As Fire Candle asked Bouquet to finish repairing his King Candelor, Bouquet refuses as she still redecorating her Rikuo Shrine, much to Fire Candle's frustration.
Back at Gozyugers situation, they entered the second trial, which is a game of dodgeball against the Ai. Ryugi easily dominated this game by throwing the ball at the Ai with his enhanced strength, much to the Horror of both his Teammates and the Ai alike, with the latter party surrendering due to losing their leader. They soon entered the final trial, which unexpectedly forcing them to play "family", complete with a set of ridiculous outfits to boot. While Hoeru, and Sumino are perplexed by this trial, Rikuo, Kinjiro, and Ryugi nonchalantly take part as the dad, grandpa, and mom respectively, forcing Hoeru and Sumino to take part as siblings.
While Rikuo, Ryugi, Kinjiro, and Sumino easily play family, Hoeru is too stunned to even act, as if he's remembering a painful past. The trial is soon jeopardized by the arrival of Fire Candle, with another Group of Ais led by Denjitsu Park. Fire Candle immediately challenged GozyuWolf for a rematch, prompting the Gozyugers to end the trial to battle with Buraidan. Hoeru however, is held back by Tokonatsu himself, who deems the Lone Wolf still not clearing this particular trial. To show how serious he is, Tokonatsu willingly dresses as the mom, and play the House with Hoeru. However, Hoeru begins remembering his past much more vividly, prompting Tokonatsu to half-carry, half-wrestle him to learn about this past. Left with no other choice, Hoeru then recalled his bitter past...
Ten years ago, he lives a normal life with his father, mother, and big brother, Hisamitsu. However, on one fateful day, Hoeru and Hisamitsu are somehow spirited away to another world, alongside several other civilians. Turns out, this new frontier is the homeworld of No-One World, with several Kaijins starts giving chase to them. The group ran away for a long period of time, with Hoeru losing both Hisamitsu, and a woman who pleaded him to possess no wish whom he cared about. On the present day when he returned, he saw both his parents in their house, who already moved on with life with two new other sons, essentially forsaken both him and the late Hisamitsu. Having no home to return, Hoeru ended up becoming an Outcast. After learned about this, Tokonatsu is genuinely saddened by Hoeru's ill fate, and divulges that he's also feeling lonely for a long time. Due to the myriad of talent he possessed since his youth, people tend to look up and depend on Tokonatsu instead of seeing him as an equal. Which is why Tokonatsu goes to the extreme to fulfill his wish; A True Friend. Tokonatsu encourages Hoeru not to despair, as it is not too late to reclaim what they had lost, what they never possess in the past. As long as they are alive, they can keep on trying until they finally reach success and fulfill their dreams. Hoeru is genuinely moved by Tokonatsu's sincerity and finally agrees to take part as the son, thereby completing the final trial.
TegaSword Black's first appearance
Back at the Gozyugers situation, Fire Candle manages to triumph over them in a great upset! The attack force leader angrily asked about GozyuWolf whereabouts, in order to totally, and completely defeat him. He doesn't have to wait long however, as Hoeru, alongside a satisfied Tokonatsu appeared before Fire Candle. Tokonatsu announced that knowing the truth allows him to renew his passion to fulfill his dream, and thus, he agreed to work with Hoeru to defeat their common enemy, the Buraidan. Both Hoeru and Tokonatsu then transformed into GozyuWolf and Don Momotaro respectively, and a battle soon occurs between Buraidan and Gozyugers + Don Momotaro! This battle is briefly cut short however, as Mr. Shining Knife and Mrs. Sweet Cake promptly appeared inside Tokonatsu Castle. Mrs. Sweet Cake is heartbroken over Tokonatsu's betrayal, and Mr. Shining Knife decides to enlarge themselves to defeat the Traitor. This time, Sumino volunteers to deal with the gigantified Buraidan General, as she summons Giant God TegaSword and configures it into TegaSword Black.
TegaSword Black and Mr. Shining Knife and Mrs. Sweet Cake soon duke against each other, with TegaSword Black gaining advantage due to its efficient Jousting fighting style. To counter this, Mr. Shining Knife and Mrs. Sweet Cake summoned a Cake Colloseum to both hinder TegaSword Black movements, and to attack the robot omnidirectionally by numerous knives. Sumino is pressured by this tactic, but a specialized handle inside of TegaSword starts shining brightly, as if to offer a solution for Sumino's current predicament. Sumino uses the handle to reconfigure TegaSword Black into its Charge Mode, a quadrupedal configuration akin of a Centaur that increases the Robo mobility. Sumino ended up using Centrifugal force by TegaSword Black galloping to escape from the Sickly Sweet Colosseum and proceed to launch TegaSword: Fabulous Drill finisher to defeat Mr. Shining Knife and Mrs. Sweet Cake.
Back at the Gozyugers situation, while GozyuLeon, Tyranno, and Eagle are busy facing the Ais, both GozyuWolf and Don Momotaro are shown battling both Fire Candle and Denjisu Park. Don Momotaro feels elated to be able to fight cooperatively with someone, a sentiment GozyuWolf unexpectedly shares as well. Don Momotaro then uses his latent ability to Summon numerous Origami within a whirlwind to disrupt the Bureidan, albeit Fire Candle easily burned them all off. GozyuWolf promptly uses the opening to separate Fire Candle from Denjisu Park, allowing Don Momotaro to outpower the Golden Ai. Both Don Momotaro and GozyuWolf then uses A Peerless Peach Positive Shower and Rising Red Wolf finisher respectively to defeat Denjisu Park, adding another loss to Fire Candle rapport. The twice-defeated Attack Force Leader curses GozyuWolf with revenge before retreating, leaving GozyuWolf and Don Momotaro as the remaining competitors.
Tokonatsu losing his TegaSword
Both men knew that as long as they are possessing a Ring Contract, future battles will be unavoidable, especially since Hoeru swears to make Tokonatsu as his first prey. The other Gozyugers (minus Sumino) can only watch as a battle for Sentai Rings about to occur. Both men ended up clashing against each other... and GozyuWolf is announced as the winner.

Predictably, Tokonatsu Ring Contract is Voided, and all of his current Sentai Rings are now within Hoeru's possession. Tokonatsu admitted defeat, but Hoeru declared that his wish has now come to fruition, for Hoeru agreed to become his true friend. The revelation brings Joy to Tokonatsu as he declared Hoeru as his Sunshine Best Friend, and thus with a new hope waiting for him, he can proceed to his future, which is the next election as Prime Minister. Hoeru solemnly changed his view for the ex-Prime Minister for the better, as the other Gozyugers agreed with him.
Daizyuzin appears to aid TegaSword Black
The heartwarming moment is cut short however, as Mr. Shining Knife and Mrs. Sweet Cake reemerge from the destroyed Cake Colosseum fully healed, much to the utter disbelief of Sumino. Just as the still gigantic Buraidan general attacked the caught off guard TegaSword Black, a cloaked Robo intercepts the attack. When the dust dissipates, Sumino is surprised to learn that this new robo is not TegaSword, but instead something else entirely, Daizyuzin. Inside Daizyuzin's cockpit, Universe Warrior Tyranno Ranger solemnly looked upon the battlefield as the episode ends.
