Ep. 5: The King of Winter is Coming (冬の王来たる Fuyu no Ō Kitaru) is the fifth episode of Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger. It marks the full debut of Rita Kaniska/Papillon Ohger as well as the debut of God Papillon.
Synopsis[]
Gira, Yanma, and Hymeno defeat Tanijim with one of the three guardian deities, God Kabuto, as their ally. However, behind the victory, the evil plan of Kaguragi was hidden. Caught in his trap, Gira is taken to Zyburn Castle by Rita, the ruler and chief justice of Gokkan. What is the judgment that Rita, who believes immovable neutrality is justice, will give Gira?
Plot[]
Gira is taken by God Papillon to the Ziburn Castle in Gokkan in order to be sentenced. He is put in a snowman waiting for legal custody. Rita Kaniska then transforms into Papillon Ohger, fighting some Sanagim who were invading Gokkan for its treasure.
Rita is shown sentencing a Nkosopa man for scalping to be imprisoned 6 months in a -10°C jail. Discussing with their peers, Rita then decides to investigate Gira's case, instead of sentencing him right away. They venture to the other Kingdoms and interrogates Yanma, Hymeno and Kaguragi about what they know of Gira. Meanwhile, the Bug Naraku are planning on stealing another of Chikyu's treasures, with Desnarak cryptically said that a little bug give him intel that one of them is located on Gokkan.
Rita asks Yanma for N'kosopa's opinion on Gira, giving the possibility of the so-called culprit to be an actual King, due to the use of the King-Ohger. Even with the fact she's helped a criminal such as Gira, Hymeno is asked about her biology skills for some reason. Kaguragi sarcastically tells Rita that Gira is heard to be a tremendous bandit who eats poisonous bugs, which is obviously false. Each time Rita asked a ruler, they scream in confusion & frustration.
The cold judge then invites Rcules to the trial, as he expects Gira's sentence to be death. If Gira's sentence is not death, Rcules intends on attacking Gokkan, which is supposed to be Shugodom's strongest ally. Rita then proceeds to slap Rcules' face, much to the shock of both Douga & Boshimar, only for them to pretend it was because a mosquito was on his face, nonchalantly showing their hand with a speck of Rcules own blood.
Gira is now in custody with the scalping man. As he remembers his time with Boone and Kogane, Morfonia pulls out one of his hairs, hurting Gira. She explains to him that everyone in Gokkan is sentenced in some way or another, and that what's happening is only Rita's duty as a judge and King. She invites Gira to be mad at Rita like everyone else, but Gira says he isn't and that he understands the consequences of his actions.
In the trial, Rita directly proceeds to sentence Gira. Asking for defense, Gira is losing hope. However, Rita passes Gira as not guilty, due to his normally impossible use of the King-Ohger outside of royal family members, his DNA having proved to be the same to Rcules' thanks to Hymeno’s analysis using Racles blood that Rita obtained from their slap and Gira’s hair that Morfonia plucked earlier. Riyals search for Rainbow Jururira curiously not existing anywhere outside of a recipe record from 10 years ago in the Shugodom royal kitchens. In fact, Gira's real name is Gira Husty, the Prince of Shugodom and Racles' younger brother. As such, he has royal authority upon the Shugoddom Castle, the OhgerCalibur, as well as the King-Ohger. Gira is thus not a rebel having stolen a royal weapon and threatening the world, he is a Prince using his weaponry to ascend and fight as the Shugodom King, fulfilling his royal duties.
Testimonies from the citizens of the three Kingdoms showed that Gira did not invade other Kingdoms but merely visited them and was kind to their inhabitants, with Kogane also mentioning that Gira is willing to play the Evil role so that people can live in peace despite the Bug Naraku invasion. Rcules repeats his threat to Rita, but Rita replies that no matter what happens, even if the earth shatters and the sky collapses, Rita will not waver and will not come back on their decision. Hearing Rita's final decision, a dejected Rcules then took his leave with his two aides. Gira thanked Rita for the fair trial which the latter proclaims that it's a normal thing to do.
With the Bug Naraku army once again invades Gokkan, The now complete King-Ohger fights the new Bug Naraku army, though four of the five kings initially bicker and fight for control of the robot guardian with Rita forced to put up with their bickering, even screaming once when Yanma orders God Kabuto to shoot the grounds where Rita, in the control of King-Ohger sword is standing. After finally getting in sync, their Shugods combined power created a new sword finisher that destroyed Jigokujim.
Afterwards, the five part ways, with Gira now vowing to oust his tyrannical brother from the throne. However, Rita discovers from a badly injured Morfonia that Kamejiim broke into the Ziburn Castle in the ensuing chaos, and stole one of Chikyu's treasures, the Shugod Soul of God Scorpion...
