Synopsis[]
Rin feels regret in holding the team back when troubles dealing with a Gorma Minion escalate due to it seeing her as its target.
Plot[]
At Seisen University, a strange girl named Megumi Amano meets Rin and gives her a phoenix-shaped hair pin and tries to befriend her. Rin is unable to tell her why she can't be friends with her, as she intends to keep her identity a secret. Megumi realized her behavior made the situation awkward and bids Rin farewell. Ryo appears, as his teammates asked him to show Rin around Japan. It is then they hear a scream, and they see a pair of lips becoming a Gorma named Lipstick Songstress. The Gorma chases after Megumi, causing her to run.
Lipstick Songstress applies violet lipstick on Megumi, causing her to faint. When Ryo and Rin catch up, the Gorma makes Megumi vanish and summon Cotpotros. Ryo transforms and fight the Gorma. As Rin tries to transform, she was attacked by a group of Cotpotros, forcing Ryo to save her. As Ryo protects Rin, he gets hurt. When the other Dairangers arrive, Rin transforms as they are blown away by an attack by Lipstick Songstress. Rin runs in for an attack with her Dairen Rod, but she was knocked down, although she managed to damage Lipstick Songstress in the process. The Gorma is angered, and throws down a Enlargement Bomb to attack Rin as revenge.
RyuRanger summons RyuseiOh and battles Lipstick Songstress. Transforming into Warrior Mode, the Dairangers tried to battle the Gorma, but Ryo's injury proved too debilitating for them to fight. Lipstick Songstress summons her Devil Choir, which includes Megumi, who sing a hymn that incapacitates the Dairangers. The Gorma Triumvirate appears and cheer on Lipstick Songstress. As RyuseiOh recovers and tries to perform the Great Windmill Slice, Lipstick Songstress also slashes RyuseiOh, causing both to go down. Lipstick Songstress teleport away, vowing they will settle their score next time, while the Dairangers are knocked out of RyuseiOh. RyuseiOh lays the ground, before transforming back into a dragon and flying away.
The team returns to HQ and sees Master Kaku unconscious on the ground. As they approach him, he recovers stating his Qi-Power wasn't strong enough to sustain RyuseiOh. Ryo is surprised to learn RyuseiOh requires Master Kaku's Qi to be powered as well. Master Kaku states that RyuseiOh was injured, and their Qi isn't strong enough. It is then Rin cried out it's her fault and feels responsible. Kaku states that saving the controlled women should be their priority, and as they head off, Ryo asks Rin to stay behind. Rin protests, but they all say that she's not emotionally fit to fight.
As Rin walks along a lake, she uses her Qi Power to blow up some rocks to vent off steam. Rin's attacks are stopped by Daigo, who tells her to stop as it was scaring the birds and that he wants to see her smile again before running off. Before she can respond, Rin suddenly sees a strange vision: five orbs flying from space, a desert landscape, the Daos ruins and a Houou flying overhead before returning to the woods she was in, wondering what she had witnessed.
In the city, Lipstick Songstress continues to seethe at the scar on her cheek, kicking a Cotpotros as Gara tries to calm her, but the Gorma Minion yells she can't calm until Rin is defeated.
At headquarters, Rin tells Kaku of her vision, and Kaku realizes it must be the Lai-Lai Jewels. Master Kaku explains the Jewels are what controls the Mythical Qi Beasts, but were thought destroyed alongside the other four Mythical Qi Beasts in the battle against the Gorma 6000 years ago. As Rin question why she was the one who saw the vision, they received a message from RyuRanger that they are being overwhelmed by Lipstick Songstress.
As the Dairangers fight, they are slowly being defeated by the Gorma. It is then Rin arrives at the battle, where Lipstick Songstress jumps in front and fights her one on one. As she transforms, she starts having the vision again and falls to the ground, Lipstick Songstress moves in for the final blow. It is then Rin vanishes, and Shadam orders a temporary retreat.
Rin awakens among a sandy ruin somewhere in China.
