Ep. 5: Recover Your Soul! Don't Let Your Troubles Get in the Way (取り戻せ魂(ソウル)! スミにおけないお節介, Torimodose Sōru! Sumi ni Okenai Osekkai) is the fifth episode of No.1 Sentai Gozyuger. It features the debut of GozyuUnicorn and TegaSword Green.

Synopsis

Sumino, who acts as an aide of Tokonatsu, has a younger sister. The sister is still missing in a kidnapping case. Sumino struggles to get her precious family back together, despite the danger she faces. But for some reason, she was unable to engage...

Sumino says that her wish is "revenge against the person who kidnapped my sister," but she also has a kind side, putting band-aids on an injured boy.

Hoeru asks her, "What is your true wish?"

Soon after, the Nosy No.1 battle with Nosy No.1 begins! GozyuUnicorn is born with the engagement of determination that meddling creates!

Plot

The episode begins with Sumino, who apparently invites two men for a date while visiting Kumamon. One of them, the lean man mockingly asked the other, Chubby man about his business with Sumino, although she manages to ease their tension for the time being. During the date, Sumino displays her singing skills by singing a song, and is complimented by the two men for that. Sumino then reveals that she asked both of them for a date so that she could find out about her missing sister, Oto, since the two of them have testified in the case. The two have no idea about that, so Sumino uses her telepathy abilities granted from her contract with TegaSword to read their thoughts by touching, startling them. Unfortunately, neither of them thought about Sumino's question seriously, prompting Sumino to left the cafe.

Not long after, she gets a call and meet Tokonatsu Atami, who warns her from her reckless approach to find info from people who could be potentially dangerous. In return, Sumino replied coldly she doesn't care what will happen to her, as long as she gets to find out what happened to Oto. Realizing that their partnership is moot if she isn't going to listen to it, Tokonatsu lets her go and gives her the Ryusoulger Sentai Ring as an apology. Sumino takes it and swears to collect all of the Sentai Rings and find Oto.

As the two men that Sumino "dated" left the cafe, the chubby man is saddened that he couldn't get to spend time with her, and says that he'd gladly let a girl like her meddle with his life all day long. Unfortunately, This desire brings out a disaster as Nosy No.1 appears and captures him, turning him into his host before generating.

Sumino visits TegaSword Village and is introduced to the newest Gozyuger member, Kinjiro. Rikuo proceed to asks her what she's doing there if she's working with Tokonatsu, and she tells them that she just wanted to spend time with them, although Hoeru insisted that they are not allies. Rikuo finds that suspicious, so Sumino reveals her goal of having revenge on Oto's kidnapper. She tells the Gozyugers that she used to be a cop when Oto disappeared, but was fired dishonorably from her job after attacking a suspect in the case that turned out to be innocent, prompting her to become a Private Investigator for this end. Sumino wants to join the Gozyugers to gather the Sentai Rings and find Oto's abductor, but the conversation is interrupted when Hoeru smells Nosy No One from a far.

The Gozyugers arrive at a harbor where Nosy No One shown attacking the fishermen. Noticing tjem, Nosy No One introduces himself and challenges Rikuo and Ryugi for a meddling contest, which they accepted. The two grab a pair of markers and proceed to draw Rikuo's signature and TegaSword's emblem on each of Nosy No One's arms to annoy him. Unfortunately for them, Nosy No One finds their drawings nice, meaning that the two failed to meddle with him. The No One then explained the true nature of meddling = You gives someone what they wanted with improper ratio, resulting with the recipient feel both grateful and annoyed at the same time. To prove this, Nosy No.1 meddles Rikuo and Ryugi by pinning them with a giant box full of books signed by him, and with Bureidan logo as well.

To add to the chaos, Kinjiro arrives in flashy yet outdated clothes to attempt to meddle with Nosy No One by playing Disco music, but fails to insert a cassette tape in a modern CD player to play the music. Much to Sumino's chargrin. Nosy No One finds this annoying and ties him up with his tendrils, suffocating him. Hoeru tries to help him, but Sumino uses the situation to her advantage by stealing her fellow Gozyugers' rings, including the ones from Hoeru after she launched a sneak attack with a Garlic Spray. When confronted about this, Sumino cheekily replied that this is her intention from the very beginning, although she claimed that she do this for their own good as well before leaving. Ryugi asked Hoeru to chase after her, and Nosy No One acknowledges that she's a good meddler.

On her escape, Sumino finds a boy who scraped his knee, and decides to help him by giving him a band-aid. However, the boy finds it embarrassing since she also drew a smiley face on the bandage, before promptly left. Hoeru, whom witnessing this act of kindness, arrives and asks for his Ring back. Sumino tricked Hoeru by throwing one away from her bag, and when Hoeru goes to collect it, he finds out that it was a fake ring, much to his dismay.

Sumino arrives in a warehouse, but is cornered by a group of Aryee, and is once again unable to transform and fight them. Hoeru arrives to save her and urges her to go away while he fights the Aryee, even untransformed, but Nosy No One appears and chains him to a pillar. He then reveals that he found a hairband that belonged to Oto, much to Sumino's disbelief. Nosy No One simply replied that it's a piece of cake for him to collect evidence from the crime scene, and that the hairband surely had a lot of the culprit fingerprints on it. As Sumino's resolve waver, Nosy No One declares his ultimatum = If she kills Hoeru, she'll get the hairband; else, he'll dispose of the hairband after using an Aryee's chambergun to set a nearby barrel on fire.

Seemingly left with no other choice, Sumino aimed her TegaSword at Hoeru's neck. While Sumino apologize and claimed that this is not personal, Hoeru taunted Sumino to kill him if that's what she wished for. However, Hoeru do know that Sumino is genuinely a kind person after witnessing her act of kindness using band-aid earlier. In that effect, Hoeru asks her what is her wish really is. Sumino suddenly remembers a memory with Oto, where she tells her younger sister that her dream is to become a policewoman to protect people. While Oto find that Sumino's dream is way too Nosy, she supported this wholeheartedly. Ultimately, she raises her TegaSword at Hoeru, but instead of killing him, she unchains him.

GozyuUnicorn's first appearance

Seeing Sumino disobeying him, Nosy No One throws Oto's hairband in the fire, but Sumino doesn't mind, claiming that she'll find Oto's abductor on her own, and that Nosy No One meddling is unwelcome. She swears to TegaSword that she'll use this powers to protect people and save Oto on her own. Sensing her resolve, Gozyu Unicorn ring shines briefly as if to answer her renewed conviction. With that, Sumino transformed into Gozyu Unicorn.

Nosy No One and Gozyu Unicorn introduce themselves and begin fighting. Sumino summons UnicornDrill50 and uses her telepathy abilities to see through Nosy No One's planned attacks. The other Gozyugers arrive and Kinjiro angrily asked for their Rings back, so Gozyu Unicorn agrees to return them for the time being until the time comes for her to rightfully claim them, with Hoeru taunt her to not letting her Sentai Rings stolen until then. The male Gozyugers transforms and join the fight.

TegaSword Green's first appearance

As Nosy No One and the Aryee prepare to attack them, Ayayser Mandrake appears, piloted by golden Aryee Magi Gire, who complains about the dirtiness of the human world as he puts on gloves and a face mask. Gozyu Wolf prepares to make the Dress Guard his prey, but Gozyu Eagle stops him and tells him that he'll deal with it himself. Gozyu Wolf agrees and so they left. Kinjiro then summoned Kyojin TegaSword and reconfigure it into his personal mecha, TegaSword Green!

As the Gozyugers battles Bureidan on the ground, Kinjiro uses Green's flight capabilities to carry Ayayser Mandrake away to prevent collateral damage. After deeming a barren rocky mountains as a proper battlefield, Kinjiro dropped Mandrake, dirtying it and angering Magi Gire. While Kinjiro skillfully uses TegaSword Green enhanced Kicking abilities to damage Mandrake, Magi Gire uses Mandrake's broom to sweep up dust and hide himself from Kinjiro's view. Unfortunately for the germaphobic Magi Gire, Kinjiro simply uses his Gozyu Eagle Ring Ability to accurately pinpoint his location, even with the heavy smokescreen. Finally, using the TegaSword : Cupid Arrow finisher, Kinjiro finishes the clean freak Ayayser and Magi Gire.

Back on the ground, Sumino successfully put Nosy No One in the corner. Then she uses the Ryusoulger Sentai Ring to Retransform into Ryusoul Red, using his Ryusoul Ken to repeatedly slash Nosy No One in Video Game like manner. After she Retransform into Gozyu Unicorn, she uses her Unicorn Drill Attack, in conjunction with her TegaSword to finish off Nosy No One, and freed the Chubby Man. After she transported the Chubby Man into safety using her Torso Armor ring, she's declared the Winner for this Number One Battle!

Back at the Cafe Half Century, Kinjiro is moved by Sumino's notion to seemingly abandoned her desire for Revenge against Oto's Kidnapper, and instead wished to help people and find her long lost sister. Sumino corrected Kinjiro, declaring that her wish to find Oto and her desire for revenge is two different things altogether.

The episode ends with Sumino divulging that Oto's Kidnapper is a Male who possessed a pair of Fog-like Grey eyes. Meanwhile, Rikuo happened to find two Avid fans waiting outside the Cafe and promptly signed his photograph, while amazed by the two fans for keeping his Old photograph years ago... With him using a pair of Grey Softlenses...
