Finale!! Father and Daughter (大団円!! 父と娘（こ） Daidan'en!! Chichi to Ko) is the fifty-second episode of Ninja Sentai Kakuranger. It is the third of the four-part series finale, featuring the conclusion of the conflict associated with Hakumenrou and his daughter Tsuruhime and the final battle with both Yama-uba and the Yokai Cloud empowering the Yokai.
Synopsis[]
As Tsuruhime continues to contemplate whether to kill her own father, the Kakuranger must continue to face the relentless assault of Yama-uba and the powers that continue to allow for the Yokai to assault the Earth.
Plot[]
The male Kakuranger are crushed by Yamauba and the Flowery Kunoichi-gumi as they continue to be tormented by the potential of Tsuruhime killing her father Hakumenrou, placing her into despair she could never recover from. Tsuruhime cries as she asks for forgiveness from her sleeping father while Yamauba tells the other Kakuranger they will die at the same time. But before she can deliver the attack, Taro, Jiro and Bun appear attacking the Yokai as the boy Yokai tells the Kakuranger to save Tsuruhime; the Kakuranger fight off the Flowery Kunoichi while telling Sasuke to save Tsuruhime. Sasuke makes it into Hell Valley Cave and stops Tsuruhime from plunging the sword into her father's heart, making her scream this is the only way to save the world before he hits her, making her frustrated and angry at what happened. Staring at the sword, she throws it to the ground and cries into Sasuke as he embraces her. At the same time, the ground begins to shake as Yamauba becomes a giant ordering Hakumenrou to awaken and deal with Tsuruhime; the statue awakens and draws his sword as Sasuke and Tsuruhime rush out of the cave with the statue in pursuit. However the duo soon confront Hakumenrou again, who pursues both Kakuranger; Sasuke and Tsuruhime try to defend themselves, Tsuruhime telling her father to stop while Sasuke tries to protect her but being knocked around while the female Yokai orders the statue to kill Tsuruhime.
Cornered to a seaside cliff, Tsuruhime pleads at her father to stop this as he continues to approach. However, Taro and Jiro turn back to human and hold Hakumenrou down, advising Tsuruhime to run as the statue pushes them away and continues to attack his daughter before cornering her. Taro and Jiro continue their attack but the trio are thrown off the cliff, with Tsuruhime crying for the three of them. The other Kakuranger keep up as she cries for them, but the ground continues to shake as the giant Yamauba attacks them, forcing them to transform and summon Kakure Daishogun, while also being joined by Muteki Shogun and Tsubasamaru and even Ninjaman joining them. Sasuke curses Yamauba for using Hakumenrou for hurting so many people and tormenting Tsuruhime; but she states the God Generals and Ninjaman can't defeat her, summoning a massive cloud that shocks her with energy as she absorbs it within before the Yokai and the ninja collide in combat. Yamauba is knocked down, but she is struck by more lightning, knocking the God Generals back and fighting one-on-one with Ninjaman. Muteki Shogun uses the Flaming Shogun Sword and the Kakuranger use the Iron Fist Flying Finish from Super Kakure Daishogun, knocking her down until another lightning strike recharges her yet again! Yamauba states that as long as humans possess hatred, anger and despair, she is invincible; Daimaou adds in that she is right while ordering his sister to keep attacking. Daimaou states humans are filthy thinking only of themselves, hurting others without reason and taking lives without thinking twice; this power becoming the power for Yokai. As Daimaou reveals, "as long as humans exist, the Yokai will never go extinct!"
Yamauba continues to attack the Kakuranger, blasting the God Generals and Ninjaman and making them fall to the ground. The team wonders if they can defeat the Yokai as she laughs and they struggle to stand. However without warning, Sasuke spies small flowers on the ground, which he tells the team to look at. He states that even in a wasteland, they have the power to bloom, so they can survive as well! The God Generals confirm this, telling the team to see the people in the city; they see the courage to do the right thing, the compassion to value life and love and hope for the future; no matter how hard it is, people won't give up and the Kakuranger must rise and fight with the light of love, hope and courage. Confirming this, Sasuke states they have to fight for them, making all the Kakuranger rise up once again and the God Generals and Ninjaman rise alongside them. As the hope swells, the clouds fade away and the team's power returns as they charge at Yamauba one more time. Sasuke states she no longer has power and should prepare herself. Calling the team novices, Ninjaman becomes angered and transforms into Samuraiman, stabbing the Yokai before Tsubasamaru fuses with Muteki Shogun becoming Super Muteki Shogun and using his Muteki Cannon to further blast Yamauba and the Kakuranger use the Iron Fist God Finish with Kakure Daishogun. As she falls, Yamauba wonders how she can be defeated and dies, making even Daimaou cry out for her.
After the battle, Tsuruhime runs to search for her father, Taro and Jiro, guided by Bun as they've reached her fallen brothers and father. Taro and Jiro rise, stating they were under Daimaou's spell and were destined to die when they returned to being human. Jiro states they were happy to have protected Tsuruhime while Taro adds in that they knew that Tsuruhime wanted to kill her father for the greater good, but it's more important to protect the lives of the people that she loves. Sasuke breaks down as he states Taro and Jiro showed they knew this with their own lives, making her break down as the brothers bid Tsuruhime farewell even as she cries out, the duo staggering to the fallen Hakumenrou telling her to care of her father for them and grabbing onto him as they die and fly into the sky as spirits. Tsuruhime thanks them, stating she was glad to know how they felt and she'll live on and care for her father for them. As she contemplates, Hakumenrou regains his soul and returns to being a normal human who calls out for his daughter as they finally embrace after all these years and cry into each other. Sasuke states Taro and Jiro traded their lives to break the spell on Tsuruhime's father. Lord Yoshiteru thanks the Kakuranger and wonders how much the team sacrificed for him while apologizing for everything he's done. However, Saizou states it wasn't his fault; it was all due to Daimaou.
But before they could contemplate this, the Skeleton Castle flies overhead; Daimaou curses the Kakuranger for killing Yamauba and that he needs to face the team to defeat them for good. Sasuke states Daimaou has no more power; love, hope and courage have blasted away the cloud of hatred! But Daimaou laughs stating they mean nothing before him, blasting out towards the team while stating they don't know who he truly is, shocking the team as he states he is going to kill them as the Skeleton Castle flies right towards them in a suicide attack, appearing to finish the Kakuranger for good...
