Ep. 48: Farewell, Dear People (さらば、親愛なる民よ Saraba, Shin'ainaru-min yo) is the forty-eighth episode of Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger. It is the first part of the King-Ohger endgame, featuring the return of Naraku King Dezunaraku VIII since his death in episode 26.
Synopsis[]
At last, Gira and the rest of the Ohsama Sentai are about to face the Uchu King Dagded in a final battle. What is the "Ultimate King-Ohger" that is the key to defeating Dagded? What is the "Evacuation Plan Zero" that the Ohsama Sentai has launched? What is the fate of Chikyu!?
Plot[]
- "Countless stars that shine in the sky. In ancient times, people would connect them to form constellations. And those constellations... Gave rise to stories. People sought meaning from little more than dots in the heavens. But, why? Perhaps, feeling themselves to be little more than insignificant dots... They yearned for their existence to have meaning, as well. And if that's true... Do you suppose that your own life has any meaning? Let us begin the final tale of the Royal Sentai King-Ohger."
- ―Narrator
Gira Husty, bearing severe injuries, rises amidst a city reduced to ruins and engulfed in flames. He walks past his fallen comrades and heads towards Uchu King Dagded Dujardin. The Uchu King questions Gira's resolve to continue, provoking Gira to defiantly raise his sword, vowing to make his adversary scream.
Earlier, the Royal Sentai gather to discuss how to confront Dagded Dujardin. Yanma Gast suggests evolving the Ohsama Gattai King-Ohger one last time by combining the powers of their King's Proofs to match the galactic might of their enemy. However, Jeramie Brasieri reminds them that his King's Proof was already used to defeat Glodi Leucodium. Gira proposes seeking guidance from the ancient ancestors in the land of the dead.
Suddenly, Dagded Dujardin appears and declares his intent to cleanse Chikyu himself. The kings transform and engage their foe, but despite their best efforts, they prove to be no match for him. They decide to activate Evacuation Plan Zero. The retainers, along with Rcules Husty, evacuate the civilians to a forest, carrying unknown bags entrusted to them by the kings. At the evacuation spot, God Caucasuskabuto descends from the sky, and Rcules instructs the people to board the giant ship.
Feeling uneasy, the retainers open the bags and discover the King's Proofs inside. A hologram recording transmitted from Venomix Shooter reveals that the kings want their people to flee Chikyu for another planet, allowing them to start anew and find a way to defeat the Uchu King in the future. Despite Rcules insisting they follow the kings' order, the retainers and the people of Chikyu come to the conclusion that they cannot win or live without their kings, so they decide to disobey and return.
However, their return is interrupted by Goroge, who desires to flee. Another injured Goroge appears and accuses the first of being an impostor. Boone confirms the second Goroge's authenticity, as he is the louder one. The impostor is revealed to be Kamejim Unka, who proclaims his intention to eliminate them himself. Just as Rcules is about to engage the Jester, a door to Hakabaka suddenly opens, and Naraku King Dezunaraku VIII emerges.
In the capital, Dagded Dujardin summons fireballs from the sky, obliterating everything in their path. As the other five kings lay unconscious, Gira is the only one left standing.
