Ep. 46: The Immortal God of Destruction (不死身の破壊神 Fujimi no Hakaishin) is the forty-sixth episode of Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger. It features the final appearance of Azald and makes a surprising revelation regarding Yamato's father and Bud, as well as the reason behind Yamato's strained relationship with his father.
Synopsis[]
Having retrieved his memories and his body, Azald considers he's no longer at Ginis' service. He defies him to see who will destroy Earth first. During their duel, the hospital where Yamato's father works is targeted...
Plot[]
After Azald defeats the Rangers, the Zyuohgers head back home, having lost track of Bud during the battle. Azald storms back onto the Sagittari Ark, and demands to know what Ginis did to him, while Naria interupted him and knocks her to the floor and start asking questions. Ginis says Azald owes him his life. Ginis had found Azald drifting in space after being sealed, and while Ginis tried removing the seal, Azald woke up still partially sealed in the cubes. Ginis says he is not asking for anything other than for Azald to amuse him like he has never been amused before.
The Zyuohgers try to come to terms with the fact that they are fighting the same monster that Cetus failed to defeat. Azald opens his mouth and spits hot fire across the city. Tusk suggests the only way to defeat Azald is if one of them uses the Great King’s Mark to seal him. They hurry out and on the way, Yamato and Amu see the firewall is at the hospital where Yamato’s father is. The others are shocked by the revelation, but Amu tells Yamato to go to his father while the Zyuohgers handle the rest. Yamato says they must focus on Azald first, but Amu yells at him to not use this as an excuse. The others, now with the Great King’s Mark, continue on to find Azald.
Yamato’s father has just finished evacuating the hospital when a section of the building is about to bury him under debris. Yamato swoops in to shield him, but Bud flies in to knock the debris away. Yamato’s father reveals he knows Bud as well, much to Yamato’s shock. A nurse comes calling for Dr. Kazakiri and he tells Yamato and Bud that they will talk later. Yamato asks Bud how he knows his father, and Bado says that Dr. Kazakiri saved his life before. Bud tells Yamato that humans had attacked him and he had given up on life, but Dr. Kazakiri found him and saved his life, telling Bud that all life is connected. Yamato's mother died the night Dr. Kazakiri encountered Bud.
Yamato realizes how their lives have been connected all this time, including why Bud has been Yamato’s savior. As the others are in serious trouble, Yamato runs towards them, remembering his mother’s words about life on this planet being connected. The other Zyuohgers are fighting Azald but struggle greatly. They cannot find an opening to use the Great King’s Mark, even when unleashing their beasts. Yamato morphs and hurries to his friends. The four Zyuman have been forced to demorph. While Misao does his best to keep fighting, Tusk tells the others that he noticed Azald had some kind of core which his body would re-form around. They must now target that core if they want a chance.
Yamato unleashes all his anger and frustration at Azald. The others back him up, including Misao. Together they are able to force Azald down to his core. Yamato aims at the core, but Naria delivers three Continues to force Azald to enlarge against his will. The Zyuohgers form the Wild Tousai Dodeka King. While the Ayuohgers struggle at first, the new Cubes Bud collected come to life to help them. The Zyuohgers deliver a Zyuoh Dodeka Dynamite Stream at Azald, breaking him down to his core one more time. The four Zyuman take the Great King’s Mark and together deliver a Zyuoh Final at the core to seal it and all the fragments. They then unleash their beasts to destroy every piece of Azald. They celebrate their victory just before Yamato throws a fit over his father regarding his mother died while his father saved Bud who later saves Yamato at the same day, with Misao looking over.
Ginis says Azald could have continued to play the Blood Game with him if he had not regained his memory. Naria says since there are no more team leaders left, they should consider the Earth Blood Game a draw. Ginis says no and that they should set up a big game to end it all for good.
