Ep. 46: Know the Beauty of Life (命の美しさを知れ Inochi no Utsukushi-sa o Shire) is the forty-sixth episode of Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger.
Synopsis[]
With Dadged's only means to revive himself removed, the Ohsama Sentai searches for a way to defeat the immortal Glodi. Hymeno awakens her "King's Proof" power as she and Jeramie face Glodi, only to learn the truth of his "immortality"...
Plot[]
Glodi made an appearance in Ishabana, attacking with corpses while complaining how lucky Goma and Leech died before him. The King-Ohgers appear to intercept. Jeramie is disgusted by Glodi's power with Glodi tempting the king to kill him. Hymeno requests that the team stands down so she can beat him herself. She uses her power that can reap life away, but Glodi is unaffected as Kamejim and Dagded watch, Dagded particularly unworried. Glodi is upset that he cannot die but finally finds out that the reason for his cursed immortality is due to Dagded and he leaves.
Glodi walks in Dagded's room, furiously trying to attack Dagded. He asks why he isn't dead and if he was created by Dagded. Glodi is then hit with painful headaches trying to remember his past. The rulers realize that he may eaten Shugod souls like Gira except a large quantity. Rcules then gets Jeramie's attention and asks the rulers to have him. In Bug Naraku, Rcules and Jeramie help dig the graves of warriors to which Rcules notes is quite honorable. Jeramie tells him that Bug Naraku is quite lacking when it comes to concerns of death. He then lays down and teach the Sanagim to pray for the fallen and asks what Rcules needed.
Rcules reveals that Jeramie should have a King's Proof power as well, saying that there is a possibility that Reiniol Husty let Jeramie's father go on purpose to live happily with Nephila as well as hide a dangerous power of a King's Proof. He believes that the power Jeramie inherited was eternal life, revealing a crystal in his chest and that it maybe the key in defeating Glodi. Jeramie asks why he was isolated for this with Rcules asking if longevity is a good thing. He tells Jeramie to read the subtext as he continues digging. Meanwhile, Hymeno is attacking Gira to experiment her power on him since he's immortal, though Gira tells her that he didn't ask for immortality, telling her that he's scared of it. Hymeno stops her assault, not thinking that it's not fair that immortality is looked upon so poorly, believing that overcoming death is what doctor's aim for but she stops his worries by telling him that Gira just heals abnormally quick and can still die of age.
Hyemno then walks away but Jeramie appears, asking to be a test subject himself. Goldi wakes up from his slumber and realizes he was created to destroy and has no choice but to make the universe full of death. Hymeno finds that the stone in Jeramie is giving him eternal life and tries to convince Jeramie that its power could make immortality a reality, maybe even revive the dead. The conversation lead to Jeramie and Hymeno questioning what they must do with their new powers. Later, Hymeno goes to her parents' gravesite, saying that one day they may unite again along with others and that the sadness of losing one to death will be liberated as Jeramie continues to pray over the dead Bug Naraku.
Jeramie talks to Geroujim and asks if he's immortal. Geroujim confirms and asks Jeramie what it was like living as long as he did. Jeramie believes that it was interesting, having to say goodbye to so many but also having great meetings with others, that he spent enough time on it and that even despair can become hope. He tells his retainer that he wants to grow old with the Ohsama Sentai and to be buried by them. Later, Hymeno continues to research when Jeramie walks in, asking if her choice had been made. Shortly after, Jeramie allows Hymeno to reap eternal life from him and afterwards, both are nearly brought to tears but look at the sunset, that they believe is only beautiful because of how short lived they are, kind of like lives.
Motivated to slaughter the universe, Glodi and Sanagim corpses attack Ishabana with the King-Ohgers appearing shortly after. Jeramie and Hymeno ask to deal with Glodi personally while the teams fight the corpses. Jeramie and Hymeno begin their battle on Glodi, telling the monster that they will never give up on beating him before he's trapped by Jeramie's webs. Glodi warns them that no matter what is done to him, he'll always kill. Hymeno tells Glodi that he is in fact already dead, but he had no life to begin with, so her power didn't kill him. Glodi just simply states he'll continue to kill, even if he is a living corpse. Jeramie and Hymeno talk to him more, saying that living for an eternity is lonely and that doctors don't dream of overcoming death but to make sure that life is fully realized, sympathizing with him for a little
The King-Ohgers fight the Bug Naraku corpses, feeling remorseful of the death they're bringing to them while Jeramie and Hymeno use the eternal life reaped from Jeramie to give eternal life to Glodi. Glodi, for the first time feels the warmth of the sun, smiling that he now knows life before freeing himself. Feeling like a god, he summons more corpses and Semishugods to attack Ishabana as he laughs manically, starting the next Wrath of God...
