The Starting Point of True Love (ホントの恋の出発点 Honto no Koi no Shuppatsuten) is the forty-fifth episode of Gekiso Sentai Carranger. It features an important turning point for Beauty Zonnette which will ultimately lead to Carranger's end-game arc.
Synopsis[]
Kyosuke decides to try and draw Zonnette away from the Bowzock once and for all with his love for her, while Exhaus sends a love-manipulating Gorotsuki to finally marry her to Gynamo for Earth's destruction.
Plot[]
Kyosuke is running through the streets when he spots someone; rushing to them, he sees Zonnette and turns into Red Racer as he tries to confess, but she states she doesn't like men who keep secrets as she boards a bus and drives away. As Kyosuke wakes from what turns out to be a dream, he wonders what it means as Minoru criticizes the dream and Natsumi tells him to stop beating around the bush; Yoko states he needs to make her his no matter what as Naoki adds in it's complicated due to Zonnette's love of Red Racer, not Kyosuke. Kyosuke decides to reveal to Zonnette he is Red Racer, but Minoru states that will make the Bowzock find out who they are and declines; but Kyosuke states he will convince her to quit the Bowzock with love.
In space, Exhaus calls for Gynamo but Zelmoda states he's taking a nap as the evil lord wonders why it's taking so long to blow up "Earsh" and why they haven't. Zelmoda states Gynamo has been lame lately and decides the way to resolve this is a "wedding party", believing that he and Zonnette marry, it will turn Gynamo into a family man who will work harder to destroy Earsh! Exhaus relents and states all costs and expenses will be on him and will make this a huge party, making Zelmoda compliment but stating he's not the biggest or even the third, fourth or fifth in line for Zonnette, thus making him wonder how to make her fall for him as a Gorotsuki known as EE Musubinofu, Bowzock's best marriage master, approaches stating to leave it to him, having had 999 marriages set up and a 100% success rate, thus making him trustworthy!
Meanwhile, Kyosuke is pulling as much luck as possible stating that a shrine tells him to push all his luck into love, an ice pop calls him a winner in fortune and a horoscope states he has the best love outlook as a Libra, with a declaration of love leading to a positive response. He states he just needs to meet with Zonnette but wonders how as he suddenly sees her running by in a wedding dress, surprising him! Kyosuke gives chase as she realizes him as "Earsh's monkey-faced civilian" as she's attacked by an electric shock; Kyosuke confronts her as EE Musubinofu states that she can't run away, shocking Kyosuke as she rips off the wedding dress stating she has no intentions of marrying Gynamo; The Gorotsuki prepares a "Love-Love Arrow" to force Zonnette to change her mind, firing it but hitting a bench which develops a face and a love for Gynamo as it runs away! EE Musubinofu decides to try again until Green Racer slams him down with a Pit-In Drive and the other Carranger soon join, only for Zonnette to realize Red Racer isn't with them and asking Kyosuke where he is. The Wanpers show up as the other Carranger fight them off and Zonnette continues to ask about Red Racer; Kyosuke tries to confess until he has enough and transforms into his Ranger form, shocking her in the process. Kyosuke tries to confess but EE Musubinofu knocks him away and grabs Zonnette stating she can't escape; Kyosuke rushes to her and tries to fight him off and defend her, making it use the "Spinning String" to bind Red Racer, then the "Sparkling Confetti Blizzard" to weaken and untransform him! Zonnette wonders what happened as EE Musubinofu tries to fire an arrow at her but Kyosuke prevents the attack and tells her to run, the two rushing away as the other Carranger use their Auto Punishers to throw the Gorotsuki down and forcing retreat.
On the Baribarian, Gynamo wonders if his necktie looks funny on him as Zelmoda states he looks cool and that he's going to tell Zonnette to hurry at his boss's worry and leaves the groom's waiting room. The general wonders what happened to EE Musubinofu as the Gorotsuki returns, Zelmoda stating he's late and wondering where Zonnette is; he states she's not ready making the general angry and hit him for his shameless return, but EE Musubinofu tries to tell him Red Racer's identity but Zelmoda doesn't care telling him to come back with Zonnette for real results, forcing the Gorotsuki away.
On Earth, Kyosuke and Zonnette hide in a church on two separate sides; Kyosuke apologizes for hiding his true identity as Red Racer from her but it doesn't change his feelings. Zonnette states this is sudden as Kyosuke tries to states he'll start over from the beginning, wondering if she wants to be his friend first; but Zonnette states she wants Red Racer and not a "monkey-face ordinary citizen", pushing him away and running off. As she later stands by the ocean, she recalls her memories of Kyosuke and Red Racer stating they've been through a lot and shocked that Red Racer was him all along. EE Musubinofu appears before Zonnette and chases her down stating she will be blessed by the Love-Love Arrow but is stopped by Kyosuke tackling the Gorotsuki stating anyone who harms Zonnette will be confronted by Kyosuke Jinnai! EE Musubinofu states he's kidding but Kyosuke states he isn't as he rips off his shirt, rushing but falling and being stomped on the ground defiantly as he keeps being pushed down. Zonnette wonders if he's really Red Racer and tells Kyosuke to transform to fight the Gorotsuki threat and tells him to do so. But Kyosuke states he wants to be himself to defend Zonnette, confusing her as he rushes in once again being beaten up and tossed about by Gorotsuki. He uses the rocks to trick him and throws the Love-Love Arrow at him destroying them!
EE Musubinofu swears vengeance for destroying his arrows and unleashes a new attack, changing his body into rope and wrapping Zonnette into the "Helping Hands Attack"; Zonnette screams for help as the Gorotsuki states she has no freedom and Kyosuke will be sliced in half by his "cake-cutting knife"! Kyosuke yells at it to stop as Zonnette's body is moved by the Gorotsuki towards Kyosuke, slashing at him as she tells him to stop being stubborn and turn into Red Racer even as Kyosuke says no! Zonnette pleads with Kyosuke to transform as she attacks, but Kyosuke states he won't but she states if he doesn't, she'll do something horrid as she goes in for the kill, stabbing Kyosuke; but with him catching the blade with his hands as blood pours from them! Kyosuke states he doesn't need to transform to defeat EE Musubinofu; Zonnette calls him stupid and she states she hates monkey-faced civilians and tells him to stop, but Kyosuke embraces her, stating that he will protect the Bowzock female, making her tear up and drop the knife and freeing her from EE Musubinofu's grip! As the Gorotsuki becomes angered, Kyosuke tells him to stand back as he will protect Zonnette, charging with the knife as the Gorotsuki shoots eye beams at him and he stabs it, making it fall down as he gives the thumbs up of victory but faints from the battle. Zonnette runs to his side as she yells at Kyosuke but he smiles, making Zonnette call him a goofball.
EE Musubinofu soon grows giant, but he's told to stop as a pink beam attacks, revealed to be Radiata and the Radiacar, the female White Racer stating she's powered up. At command, the Radiacar Robo enters "Giant Mode", punching the Gorotsuki to the ground as the other Carranger appear with their VRV Machines, the four of them summoning Victory Twister and firing it at EE Musubinofu, destroying him with ease.
After the battle, Radiata reveals that Planet Fanbelt is in crisis, stating their resources have been exploited for Exhaus' Interstellar Highway Project and that if they don't stop them, then all of Fanbelt's homes, land and memories will be destroyed! Radiata plead for her sister's help as she tries to return her Fanbelt Crystal to her. Zonnette states to the team to say goodbye to the "woman of the Bowzock" and she's made her decision thanks to Kyosuke; with the spell of "Ravioli, Kishimen, Linguini", she changes back to her true form of Vanity Mirror Fanbelt, princess of Fanbelt. Kyosuke states he's never seen her so beautiful as Radiata calls for her sister, Vanity Mirror saying goodbye to Kyosuke; Red Racer stating when Exhaus is defeated, they will meet again as the princess agrees accordingly. She then tells Kyosuke to "fix his monkey face before then" as the two princesses take the Radiacar back to their home world, Kyosuke wondering if they will meet again.
