Ep. 38: Steadfast Idol Debut (不動のアイドルデビュー Fudō no Aidoru Debyū) is the thirty-eighth episode of Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger.
Synopsis[]
While the countries ruled by the Uchu Five Jesters are being recaptured by the kings one after another, the "Uchu King's Exclusive Idol Audition" has begun in Gokkan! Rita also aims to become an idol and sings and dances on stage to enliven the audience...what in the world is going on!?
Plot[]
The stage is set and the Uchu watch as Entry number 2847 walks on the stage and it turns out this person is Rita Kaniska. The audience roars with monarchs in disguises, surprised that Rita is not acting like themselves. They ask Morphonia what happened to Gokkan and she tells them that Goma had fixed the right and wrongs of the prisoners, with Rita and Morphonia watching happen, Rita then leaves saying they're no longer needed and that they'll investigate the other Jesters to Morphonia's surprise. The prisoners with their morality switched became more obedient to the Uchu as Goma tries to order the prisoners but Minongan Moth drops in with a fun way to tidy Gokkan. Goma initially turns it down but then Dagded appears, requesting Goma and Minongan to work together. They then plan to hold a Uchu King Exclusive Idol Audition.
Gira suggests they make their appearance known and shut this down, but Yanma and Kaguragi have to go back to their kingdoms soon, turning down the idea and taking their leave but not before Gira warns them not to do anything stupid all because Rita is gone. Leaving Jeramie, Gira and Hymeno to deal with Rita's situation, Jeramie himself is confused by the subtext and separates from the team. The first audition begins as a dance performance and Rita performs in front of the cheering audience. Minongan congratulates Rita and Hymeno believes that something is off before leaving as well. Jeramie finds himself in Rita's room, looking around before finding "the subtext".
Jeramie then confronts Rita on the mystery, believing that the object in his hand belonged to Rita's parents due to being seperated at a young age, thus becoming a popular idol over Chikyu to find their lost parents. But Rita denies that quickly, saying that they see their very much alive parents a lot and takes the object out of Jeramie's hand before leaving. Hymeno sees this and goes to Rita's room as well. She too confronts Rita, finding an old drawing that shows Rita as an idol. Hyemno believes that it was always Rita's dream to be an idol, wanting to be a loved idol instead of an unpopular judge. But Rita too shuts down the claim, telling the queen brashly that it's an undercover case to learn more of the Jesters. Hymeno doesn't buy it though, believing that Rita is simply putting up a front.
Gira then leaves and Rita is in the courtroom practicing their vocals, but Minongan appears, asking why the judge participated. Rita tells the monster that it's because it was a childhood dream but Minongan then asks why their face is covered, believing that Rita is simply hiding their true self from the world. Minongan says that the burden of being a judge is no longer upon them, and they can be free. Goma then summons Dagded's favorite idol, Iko Marina, who's thrilled to be a part of a tokusatsu project, but Goma gets rid of her quickly. Rita then performs the final round, a singing audition. In a whole new entire outfit, revealing their face they dance and sing to the audience, gaining the applause of everyone.
Minongan then has Goma summmon Hilbil Leech to have the judge and jester fight for center of the stage. Jeramie realizes that with Leech at the audition, N'Kosopa is back up for grabs. Elsewhere, Yanma and Shiokara grab the Ultra Computer that was taken by Rita long ago, but Shiokara stops Yanma, telling him that he was put in jail because he was making a ultra computer. Yanma tells him that it's something that has to be done and Shiokara allows the theft to happen. Gira takes his turn in Rita's room and finds a hole in the wall before his phone goes off. Meanwhile, after dancing Rita and Leech finish but Rita is exhausted and drops to the floor, making Leech the winner.
Rita is then thrown outside to a disappointed Minongan. Gira then appears, telling Rita that he understands now, with a book about Moffun in his hand. Rita rushes towards Rita for it but Gira dodges and stops Rita, believing that Rita feels like they aren't needed anymore. Hymeno, Jeramie and Morphonia join Gira, telling them that Chikyu is a mess because Rita isn't the judge. A flashback occurs, showing that the phone Gira received was from Kogane, who was upset that the people are becoming lazy, spoiled and greedier, especially because no one is there to stop them. Rita tries to deny but Gira tells Rita that they've protected the world of those living lawfully and that Rita is the person that Chikyu needs, asking them to go back to normal
Minongan shoves Gira, telling him to leave Rita as they are. Morphonia get aggravated and smacks Gira and Minongan. She believes that Rita offsetting the greed everyone has makes them cool and even if the world hates them, Morphonia will stay by their side. Rita is touched but then starts to yell, telling them that they're all wrong. Rita told them as before, they were undercover to learn more about the Uchu, UN-DER-COV-ER. Upset that it's all for nothing, they pull out their Calibur and demand that Goma removes his magic and surrenders Gokkan before transforming. The judge fights both of the Jesters and manages to destroy Goma's magic, making Goma simply quit and leave Minongan to fight Rita himself. Rita then prepares an Ohger Finish and beats Minongan into retreating.
Later, Gira, Hymeno and Morphonia apologize for obstructing the law, but Rita asks why they kept on being stubborn. Hymeno telling the judge that they were friends being concerned. Rita tells them they aren't guilty, and that they did figure out that something is inside Minongan, leaving everyone confused. Goma asks how Minongan even planned to destroy Gokkan but he doesn't tell, with Dagded simply forgiving Minongan since all he wanted to do was have fun. Back in Gokkan, Morphonia and Rita walk together, Morphonia telling Rita that they can be themselves with their friends but Rita questions why and takes off their mask. Morphonia is surprised and she smiles, telling the judge she likes it. Rita can't her though and repeatedly asks if she was objecting as the episode comes to an end.
