Synopsis[]
Thanks to the power of Glodi, the dead Iroki of Tofu has come back to life! Tofu has stolen all the food in the world, and everyone is hungry and in big trouble... Can Kaguragi take back Tofu from the fateful Iroki? The past of the current and former Grand Lords will now be revealed!
Plot[]
A fire is lit, destroying the building that held the rice in Tofu. The citizens are angered and point the blame at Kaguragi. Kaguragi and Rita watch the chaos ensue. They come to the conclusion that Glodi is ruling Tofu along with the former Lord of Tofu, Iroki, who is warned that Kaguragi is in Tofu. She orders Glodi to greet Kaguragi, Glodi unhappy at first but going anyway. She then reveals she hopes to know to find the answers of Kaguragi's actions on the day she died.
The monarchs are hungry in Ishabana, they get served flowers and wasabi especially since Tofu hasn't been bringing in food to the other countries. Even Hymeno comes out as hungry, but Jeramie seems to not mind hunger claiming it to be reading after especially living as long as he did. Yanma then calls Shiokara and tells them that they plan to take Tofu back from the Uchu. Glodi faces Rita and Kaguragi, where the judge figures out that they were brought since their power to seal Glodi is most effective, but Kaguragi warns them to use the power at their best judgement before leaving as Rita rushes to Glodi but disappears almost immediately.
Meanwhile, Kaguragi thinks about the day he revolutionized against Iroki before walking into the palace. Elsewhere in Tofu, Hymeno, Gira, Jeramie and Yanma are sneaking around to take back the country but run into Glodi. Glodi is busy taking care of food, but the monarchs have none of it and try to fight him, only for all but Jeramie to feel too weak due to hunger and falling to the ground. Kaguragi finally meets Iroki and they discuss their first encounter, Kaguragi noting that the current Iroki is nothing like the one he had first met.
Back in the past, Iroki is tasting the food made by Kaguragi and was satisfied. She told him that she loves it and wants to sell it to the other nations, also requesting if Kaguragi would be willing to teach others how to make it. Kaguragi agrees and Iroki welcomes Kaguragi to live in her castle to learn governance. Kaguragi asks why and Iroki believes that Kaguragi is too honest to ever be a traitor. Later, when God's Wrath occurred, Iroki had monopolized all of the food supply, willing to let the people starve.
Back to the past, a revolution began to take the food back. The people looked to Kaguragi as a leader, waiting on his word to approach the castle. The young Kaguragi wanted to try simply asking for the rice to be returned, wanting to go on his own but he does tell them that if he doesn't return, they may attack. The citizens are worried since Iroki had seemed to turn her back to her people and may kill the young man but Kaguragi marches on anyway. Later, the castle starts to burn and Kaguragi walks out, seemingly shook. Suzume goes to check on him and notices a sword in and blood on his hands. She realizes that Kaguragi murdered Iroki and Kaguragi is then declared the new Lord of Tofu by the people.
Iroki claims that isn't what happened but that the throne was stolen from her. Kaguragi demands his throne back and Iroki wonders if it'll be like the last time they had a meal together. Elsewhere, Glodi is seducing the monarchs with rice, but Hymeno notices something is off with the smell. While back in the past, Kaguragi begs Iroki to return the rice to the people to no avail. Iroki then starts to cough, poisoned, she lights the castle on fire and gives her necklace and sword to the young man, asking to be struck down by him. Kaguragi hesitates and Iroki commits suicide by dying in fire but not before calling Kaguragi a traitor. Kaguragi reveals that he came to ask on why Iroki had committed suicide that day. The monarchs prepare to eat but Hymeno stops Gira and Yanma, realizing that they were poisoned. The monarchs are rightfully angry and fight Glodi while Kaguragi came to the conclusion that the food Iroki had eaten before she died was poisoned by Glodi, which is why she took it all and burnt them along with her.
Glodi reveals to the King-Ohgers that he in fact did it before decaying and transforming into his monster form as he battle the King-Ohgers. He pulls his scythe and with its ability to make anything it touches rot, harms Hymeno's vision. Iroki asks if she's a hero for trying to protect her people and in turn, makes Kaguragi a traitor. Kaguragi reveals that it's a question that plagued him for a long time, but he finally found an answer: Iroki had done it to protect the reputation of Tofu, knowing that if word that Tofu's food had been poisoned had gone out to the world, the other nations would have avoided eating their produce. Dishonoring herself and letting Kaguragi take the throne. Iroki laughs at the suggestion that a ruler would give up their power for their country, but Kaguragi claims that only those who would dirty themselves, be stained in earthen blacks, or resort or the foulest means could rule and save Tofu.
Kaguragi notes that he should've done what she asked all those years ago and Iroki is touched that Kaguragi finally learned that he had betrayed her. Kaguragi then pulls out his OhgerCalibur to do what he should've done years ago. Meanwhile, the King-Ohgers are beat by Glodi and before he can finish them off, Kaguragi blocks the attacks and battles the Jester himself. He beats Glodi and this makes Iroki wither away as she calls him a little traitor with a smile on her face. Later, the rice is disposed of and Kaguragi is returned to his throne.
