I am Gunmazin (拙者ガンマジン Sessha Ganmajin) is the thirty-seventh episode of Chouriki Sentai Ohranger. This is the beginning of a two-part story introducing Gunmazin, an ancient wish-granting being of Pangaea.

Synopsis[]

A boy discovers an ancient warrior who can grant his every wish, even if he has to torment the Ohrangers to give him what he desires.

Plot[]

A boy named Satoru is running on the street and cartwheeling as a UAOH jeep pulls up; Yuji calls out for him and notices him doing errands, but Satoru claims he's on patrol as OhBlue salutes him and Momo joins the males. Yuji gives Satoru some photos he developed of the two hanging out and a photo of OhBlocker which he thanks the Ohranger for before running along again; Momo notes Satoru is happy as Yuji states he's always helping his mother out. However, Satoru is soon confronted by bullies noticing the Ohranger pictures he received and force him to give them up but the boy runs into the woods as the boys give chase. Satoru runs as the bullies yell they know where he's hiding and they'll beat him up until they find the pictures and rip them to shreds not finding any worth in them. As they leave, Satoru picks the shards up until he notices a glow in the nearby stream; he reaches in and pulls out a chain with a key, which causes a strange blue idol to rise and approach him yelling out "Gunma Gunma Don-doko Gunma!" and telling him to put the key into him. Satoru does so as the idol grows and becomes a massive warrior that stands before him, announcing himself as "Gunmazin"!

After yawning about his sleep, Gunmazin announces he's going to go to work, reaching to his "master" and asking Satoru for a wish. Satoru asks Gunmazin to beat up the bullies, which the idol acknowledges as he sees the bullies running away; marching towards them, the bullies run as Gunmazin picks them up with his size and the bullies yell for mercy as they're stranded in a tree and then blown as Gunmazin states that if they ever bully Satoru again, they will pay; before closing and shrinking back into it's idol form. Yuji and Momo notice but see as Gunmazin vanishes and Satoru runs off with the statue and the key.

Taking Gunmazin to a stadium, Satoru reawakens Gunmazin and asks for his name; but is nearly gone deaf as the being yells out his name with a booming voice! Satoru introduces himself and asks Gunmazin to shrink himself down due to standing out like this, which the being obliges making him closer to the boy's size. Satoru asks Gunmazin if he'll really grant any wish that he has; the being states he will as long as he approves of it, stating he will appear for anyone who holds his key and recites the magic words "Gunma Gunma Don-doko Gunma". Asking his next wish of Satoru, the boy states he wants to ride on OhBlocker; but the being states he has no idea what an "OhBlocker" or even the "Ohranger" are! Satoru shows Gunmazin the pictures of OhBlocker and Yuji, making it wonder where to find the mecha.

At UAOH's base, Riki explains Gunmazin to the team, stating it appeared once 600 million years in the past but even the ancient people of the time have no idea what he is; if he's a robot or something else or who made him; only that he's strong and he can grant anyone's wish. Momo worries that if Gunmazin has such power, then it could be a problem if Baranoia got their hands on him. Juri asks Riki for any more clues, the ancient warrior stating that when he doesn't work, he hides behind a weird mask of a certain size, making Yuji realize Satoru has the mask and thus Gunmazin. OhBlue rushes out but Gunmazin meets with him first, asking him where OhBlocker is; Yuji wonders why he should tell someone he doesn't know like him, making the warrior perform his "First Strike", knocking him down with an electric attack. The other Ohranger catch up and are shocked at Yuji's state, but Shouhei is knocked away while using a "Cape Conceal" to hide away Yuji's body before vanishing with OhBlue.

At Baranoia base, Bomber the Great speaks to the Barlo stating anyone who speaks badly of him will be killed as the rightful ruler of the universe. At the same time, Hysteria frets about how Bomber is ruining Bacchus Wrath's legacy and how she'll make him pay while knocking down his throne. Buldont rushes in stating they have a chance due to Yuji being abducted by Gunmazin, which Hysteria confirms as the one from 600 million years prior, which Buldont sees as a major chance; stating if they can get Gunmazin, they can depose Bomber and retake the empire! However, the duo are attacked by Bomber, who claims that Gunmazin will be his and with the Ohranger missing a member, he'll take them out. He continues to attack Hysteria and Buldont claiming that if they attack him, he won't guarantee they will survive.

On Earth, a policeman suddenly starts attacking the populace; as the Ohranger try to respond, more policemen attack as a patrol car starts chasing people down and ramming into them! The Ohranger fight the dissident cops as one laughs, making Gorou realize they're with Baranoia; opening a badge, the lead officer changes into his true form: Machine Beast Bara Police! The officer claims he took Bomber the Great's order to hide as a police chief and bent the force to his will. The officers continue to fire on the Ohranger as they transform, forcing them to fight the Barlo as OhRed attacks him directly. Acha appears telling Bara Police they need to finish them immediately, immediately making him into a giant and forcing the Blocker Robo into combat. Bara Police uses a mist to knock Yellow Blocker down, stating they can't form OhBlocker if all five aren't available, firing the mist again towards the machines. However Satoru rushes by in the midst of the battle, making Bomber nearby realize he has Gunmazin's control.

Elsewhere, Gunmazin wonders where OhBlocker is and why Yuji isn't telling him; OhBlue states he'll never do what the warrior tells him to as Gunmazin tells him about Satoru's wish to ride in it's cockpit and he needs to make a young boy's wish come true. Yuji states the mecha isn't an amusement park ride, making Gunmazin state he has no choice now and tells Yuji to remain in his cage as he wanders off and OhBlue curses him out. Satoru appears to appeal to Gunmazin and notices Yuji in the cage while yelling at him for doing this to him, Gunmazin stating that the easiest way for him to get OhBlocker was to escort an Ohranger and interrogate him! Satoru tells Gunmazin to let Yuji to let him go and that the Ohranger are losing a battle with Baranoia because OhBlue isn't there helping them. As Bara Police continues to assault the Blocker Robo, Yuji tells the warrior to let him out; but not even Satoru can get Gunmazin to let him go until OhBlue tells him where Ohranger's base is. Satoru cries he doesn't want to ride OhBlocker anymore, but Gunmazin reveals he can't abandon a wish that has already been made to him. Satoru states then he'll make a wish to release Yuji, but Gunmazin states that's impossible as well since he can't accept one wish unless the previous wish was completed! Satoru asks why but Gunmazin states "that's the way things are". Stubborn, Gunmazin continues to interrogate Yuji while Bomber appears asking the warrior to work for him, but Gunmazin claims he can't, making the missile man states he'll only work for whomever controls his key. Seeing Satoru with the key, he approaches him but Gunmazin protects him; Bomber attacks dropping the keys to Yuji's captivity which Satoru steals and uses to release OhBlue from the cage, stating he didn't know things would turn out like this! Gunmazin knocks Bomber away as Yuji and Satoru run away; Gunmazin tries to pursue but Bomber blocks him, making the warrior use his "Majin Singe-Sword Technique: Second Strike" to destroy the building to knock Bomber away.

Back with the Bara Police battle, the Machine Beast wraps Green Blocker's arms with cuffs and continues to shoot and attack the Ohranger. Yuji hides Satoru in safety as he transforms and summons Blue Blocker, which allow for the formation of OhBlocker. Gunmazin appears acknowledging this as the OhBlocker Satoru wants to ride as the mecha attacks Bara Police; the warrior changes into a giant and asks the Ohranger to give OhBlocker up, shocking the team stating if they don't, he'll take it by force ass he begins to attack them alongside Bara Police! Gunmazin tells Satoru to wait a bit as he's about to get OhBlocker for him, but the boy yells he doesn't want to ride it anymore! Gunmazin uses his "Third Strike" ability to fire fireballs as the boy cries at his defiant attacks; but Bomber appears as he sneaks up on the boy, running towards Satoru and stealing the key from him!
