The Earth is Snoring (地球がグースカ Chikyū ga Gūsuka) is the thirtieth episode of Chouriki Sentai Ohranger.
Synopsis[]
A sleep-inducing Machine Beast is sent to Earth but faces difficulties when Riki proves to be the only one immune to its powerful lullaby.
Plot[]
On Baranoia's moon base, Acha worries as he sees both Hysteria and Buldont suddenly asleep and even emperor Bacchus Wrath, whom he wakes up from a nap. The Emperor yells at Acha stating that machines don't nap and calls him a fool before Buldont blames a sleepy Machine Beast named Bara Gusuka standing near them, which makes the Barlo Soldiers sleep nearby. Kocha reasons Bara Gusuka's motor noise is hypnotic as Bacchus Wrath calls the Machine Beast lazy for delaying their invasion by two minutes and 35 seconds and the penalty is to be scrapped to death! However, Hysteria realizes that they could send Bara Gusuka to Earth; Bacchus Wrath wonders why if all it does is sleep, but Hysteria reasons that if it can put machines as great as them to sleep, then humans won't stand a chance against it, getting the king interested in it's usage as the Machine Beast suddenly awakens.
As the Ohranger patrol with their Thunder Wings, Juri notices an unknown Takonpas at Sky Point V326, revealed to be Bara Gusuka telling a tired Barlo to watch where it's flying. The Machine Beast complains how tired it is as Shouhei and Juri approach, making them feel tired as well. The team suddenly feels tired until Gorou uses the Chouriki Cannons on his Thunder Wing to attack the Takonpas, destroying it and forcing Bara Gusuka to the ground! The Ohranger approach to attack as Acha sends Barlo Soldiers against them which they fend off. Acha orders Bara Gusuka to begin it's attack as it activates it's motor, making the Ohranger sleepy as the Machine Beast repeats it's hypnotic cry over and over making humans and machines become tired as a result! Acha prepares to shoot the Ohranger with a gun to eliminate them; but it's deflected by KingRanger, who kicks Acha away as he orders Bara Gusuka to keep singing! Riki calls out the Machine Beast for it's stupid song as it realizes he isn't listening and fires blasts towards KingRanger, who avoids them and strikes the Machine Beast with the King Victory Flash, scrapping it! On the moon, Hysteria is disappointed in Bara Gusuka's performance as Acha apologizes for it's failure, stating that some of the Machine Beasts are just worthless while Bacchus Wrath states that it's "his fault" the plan failed, making Acha realize it was KingRanger that caused Bara Gusuka's failure.
At UAOH Base, Riki explains how Bara Gusuka's power allowed for it to create hypnotic sound waves; as Juri wonders why he didn't sleep from them, he wonders; Miura hypothesizes that it may have to do with the 600 million years he and Dorin flew through space altering his constitution to prevent it. Meanwhile on Earth, Dr. Henna discovers the remnants of Bara Gusuka before Acha and Kocha; Kocha wonders if he'll fix them up as the scientist shows excitement about how well made Baranoia's Machine Beasts are! Back at his lab, he decides to install a hyper-grade LSI and an ultra-super microchip into Bara Gusuka, taking one he bought from Akihabara and putting it in it's body with other parts like a key and new hands and feet before realizing he can also use a wind chime within it.
Soon, Henna completes his rebuilding of Bara Gusuka, kissing it in rejoice before winding it up to reactivate it. The Machine Beast soon starts to move as it starts to sing and dance to Henna's delight at how he was able to make it move; but soon becoming tired and falling asleep where he stands! Bara Gusuka continues to dance as Acha sneaks around stating that it's working out well. Eventually, he releases Bara Gusuka into the streets, who continues to sing it's lullaby before the key winds down, weakening it and forcing it to rewind the spring with the key but to a point it speeds the Machine Beast up before restoring it's lullaby and causing all the people in it's surrounding to fall asleep! Shouhei and Juri discover everyone, including drivers on the street, falling asleep from it's power as they soon notice Bara Gusuka nearby and report it to the other Ohranger as they start falling asleep, shocking Gorou at base that they scrapped the Machine Beast, thus making him wonder how it could be back! Miura wonders if it's a Machine Beast of the same type but Momo soon falls asleep over the receiver; Yuji removes it while Gorou realizes that the hypnotic waves traveled through the microphone into her receiver. On the moon, Acha reports Bara Gusuka's success but Buldont notices the wind-up power keeps stopping, making Bacchus Wrath states it's no good and need to power it up until it can put KingRanger and the entire city to sleep!
In a truck base, Acha furthers the upgrades of Bara Gusuka, removing it's wind-up key to improve while the Ohranger pursue. Yuji and Shouhei open the truck base as they reach it as Bara Gusuka reveals a brand new form, powered up further by a wire into a control panel as Acha proclaims it will now since the "Achacha lullaby" to put them to sleep. With it's power, it emits a new song that assaults the Ohranger, weakening them by way of the Snooze Sound Wave Plan affecting them directly. Riki soon appears and kicks Bara Gusuka way stating he'll beat it away and transforms into KingRanger. Acha states he'll put the boy warrior to sleep as he activates Bara Gusuka, making even Riki become sleepy and making Miura yell at him to fight against this assault. Dorin worries about Riki falling asleep while even Miura starts feeling drowsy over the headphones. Acha turns up the speakers of Bara Gusuka, making everyone in the vicinity fall asleep where they're standing and causing society and transportation to stop moving. Acha continues to power Bara Gusuka up as RIki drowsily falls to the ground unable to move.
However, Dorin soon arrives telling Paku something that the lizard creature agrees to, releasing it towards Bara Gusuka and biting it's wire, destroying the control panel and the amplifier! With Bara Gusuka stunned, the Ohranger reach Dorin and thank Paku for the move as the Machine Beast becomes shocked that no sound is coming out of it's body and making Acha and Kocha despair as society restarts once again. The Ohranger soon fight off the Barlo sent by Acha, fighting off the minions with ease with their weapons. Bara Gusuka fires more projectiles towards the Ohranger before they use the Ole Bazooka to defeat it, forcing Acha and Kocha to grow it. The team soon summons all their mecha to combat it; Ohranger Robo and Red Puncher use their weapons to beat down the Machine Beast before Bara Gusuka is destroyed by King Pyramider Battle Formation's Super Legend Beam.
On the Moon, Hysteria wonders how Bara Gusuka and Acha could lose, but Bacchus Wrath is asleep in his chair, making the empress hit him stating machines can't feign sleep. On Earth, the Ohranger thank Riki and Dorin but they're both having an afternoon nap in a sleep as Paku laughs as well.
