Dancing Noise Pollution (踊る騒音公害 Odoru Sōonkōgai) is the second episode of Gekisou Sentai Carranger. It introduces the individual team weapons for the Carranger and their first cannon weapon, the Giga Formula. It also introduces Souichirou Tenma, the owner of the Pegasus Garage the Carrangers are employed at.
Synopsis[]
The Carranger escape from Dappu's explanation of their new Giga Formula weapon only to need it to take on a Gorotsuki who wants to use car noises as a signal to get the Earth blown up by other aliens.
Plot[]
A middle-aged man drives down the road singing a song about cars as he arrives at the Pegasus Garage. As he leaves his car, he states it's time for "another morning talk" with the staff of the company. Once inside, he states to his five employees that regardless of what anyone says, the most important thing is money, a gift from the heavens that make the impossible possible; all while the workers blatantly ignore him as Minoru uses a wrench as a backscratcher and Yoko yawns. The boss states that with the "bubble" Japanese economy bursting, they should think of what's important. Yet as he speaks, Dappu emerges from the Carranger base with a huge vehicular-shaped cannon, surprising the team as the alien uses his Carmagic to knock him out as he calls out for Princess Diana. As the Carranger wonder what Dappu did, he states he just wanted the boss to sleep for a while as Naoki notices the new weapon: the Giga Formula, a weapon for the team that is still in development that Dappu states isn't complete until the grounding control has reached full capacity; the alien goes on and on about the technical side of the weapon which confuses Kyosuke, who decides to run off to train due to his position as test driver for the company and his need to be in good shape. Naoki joins by running off to research new vehicle designs at a bookstore and Yoko states she has to go to the bank while Minoru states he has to visit clients for sales. Natsumi complains about being the only one staying behind as Dappu continues to explain the mechanics of Giga Formula.
Within the BB Saloon in the Bowzock base, Zonnette continues to lust after the fireworks that will destroy the "Earsh" as Gynamo confirms it, making her heated and making the President of the Bowzock lust her further. Zonnette asks when they'll blow up "Earsh", which he states they need to wait for a bit as he shows off some sparklers that he found on the planet that he shows off and the female complains aren't the same and continues to yell that she wants "Earsh" to blow like a firework. As the other Bowzock laugh at him, Gynamo yells at the patrons, shattering two of them like glass as Zelmoda complains his head hurts to Grotch and asks if someone in the Bowzock can defeat the Carranger. Without warning, a biker rides his way into the bar, revealed to be BB Donpa, the "Beethoven of Outer Space", who decides to take on the issue of the Carranger.
On Earth, Kyosuke runs for his workout singing as he realizes he hadn't eaten breakfast and orders two Texas Dogs. BB Donpa soon rides by shocking Kyosuke as he continues to race before finding a platform where he begins to wave a baton around, telling the cars of Earth they are "artists, singers and musicians" and they should sing together in the sky. As he waves the baton, the vehicles of Earth start flying into Earth, their horns blaring as the Gorotsuki states that they will keep doing that as they orbit the planet with noise pollution until they summon aliens to destroy the planet to shut it down; believing that as powerful as the Carranger are, they can't just fight against every alien in the universe. Kyosuke asks if he's Bowzock but BB Donpa states "what's wrong with that?" as Zelmoda arrives with an army of Wumpers who descend including a white one being chased away by a puppy. The Wumpers lose track of Kyosuke as he changes into Red Racer and summons the other Carranger as they rush out from their various tasks to assist, including Naoki at the bookstore, Minoru with a client, Yoko at a cafe, and Natsumi fixing a vehicle as Dappu continues to go on about the Giga Formula. Natsumi tries to tell Dappu about the Bowzock as both rush off and the boss of Pegasus tries to wake up; Dappu tries to speak to him but the alien hits the president with a mallet knocking him out again.
In the city, cars fly upwards blaring their horns at BB Donpa's command while Red Racer tries to tell him to stop only to be shocked by Zelmoda and surrounded by Wurmples. The cars begin to ballet through the streets at the Gorotsuki's command, making Kyosuke worry about Earth being the universe's enemy with the action, even as he struggles with the mooks and Zelmoda. The other Carranger race towards the battle site in their Speeders while Kyosuke continues to be overwhelmed by the attacks and BB Donpa continues to make the cars dance through the sky. Without warning, the Carranger ram through the Wumpers with the Speeder Machines before meeting up with Red Racer, the team standing together against the threat. Zelmoda sends out the Wurmples as the Carranger fight them off with the ViBlades, the team using their full power to strike them. Zelmoda tries to shock Kyosuke but he uses his Auto Punisher to blast the Bowzock general away.
The cars continue to fly through the sky as BB Donpa continues to assert this as why he's the "Beethoven of Outer Space", soon making the cars fly down and ram into the Carranger making them dodge one attack after another. Dappu watches the team helplessly avoiding the vehicle assault, despairing their fate until he realizes he can finish the Giga Formula to help them. Returning to Pegasus Garage, the president begins to wake up from his unconscious state wondering what's going on and discovering the Giga Formula wondering what it is and wondering if the quintet were making something behind his back as he strikes at the stand holding the cannon. However the Giga Formula soon activates, riding away from him and striking him into a wall making him fall unconscious again. As the Giga Formula glows, Dappu discovers it as he realizes that it is ready.
In the city, BB Donpa continues to send car after car against the Carranger forcing them to avoid them and their fiery explosions. The team becomes pinned down by more vehicles exciting the Gorotsuki and Zelmoda until Dappu arrives with the Giga Formula, ramming into them and announcing to the team that the weapon is complete. As Kyosuke wonder how it's used, the alien gives them an instruction manual as they read it and see it is made of "Formula Weapons" they can use: Pink Racer takes the "Bumper Bow", Red Racer the "Fender Sword", Blue Racer the "Muffler Guns", Yellow Racer the "Side Knuckle" (based on the side bars) and Green Racer the "Engine Cannon". Zelmoda instructs the Wurmples after the Carranger, the team making easy work of the Wurmples with their new weapons; the White Wurmples returning to be hit by Zelmoda for hiding from the attack behind him. BB Donpa shows frustration for being attacked by the team and uses his horns on his wrists to attack them, knocking the Carranger down as Dappu reminds them to read the manual so they can form the Giga Formula! Discovering it burning in the debris, the team states that by recombine the weapons, they become the "Formula Nova". Zelmoda withdraws with the Wurmples as BB Donpa tries to ride off with his motorcycle, the team using Formula Nova to knock him into space and removing the car horns surrounding Earth.
At the Bowzock base, Zonnette is shocked that the sound surrounding "Earsh" has vanished as Zelmoda and BB Donpa return to the bar. BB Donpa mutters about what happens but Gynamo tells him to quiet himself. However, without warning, a UFO appears with the aliens yelling at them to "shut up", firing on the Bowzock base and killing BB Donpa instantly.
Later, the boss of Pegasus Garage wakes up discovering his workers working hard within the facility. A phone rings Minoru directs the president to take, turning out to be his wife as he tells her he'll be home early. In the Carranger base, Dappu continues to clean and adjust the Giga Formula in secret.
