Ep. 2: Catch the Treasure! It's My Prey (ブン捕れお宝！俺の獲物だ, Bun Tore Otakara! Ore no Emono da) is the second episode of No.1 Sentai Gozyuger. It features the full debut of Rikuo Byakuya/GozyuLeon and Ryugi Bakugami/GozyuTyranno as well as the first appearances of Tega Sword Yellow, Mr. Shining Knife & Mrs. Sweet Cake and The Queen of Buraidan.

Synopsis

Hoeru Tono, who made a contract with a "ring" he found in a different space, became GozyuWolf and defeated the Buraidan. However, he now has to fight Natsume Tsutsumi, who has become Kuwagata Ohger... The reason for this is that all the ring-bearers are rivals. Then, a bullet flies in from somewhere and interrupts the fight, and Tsutsumi leaves.

When Hoeru returns to the cafe Half Century, Saori Iijima, the owner, is in danger.... While Hoeru tries to fight against the sudden appearance of Treasure Hunt No.1, two new ring warriors, Rikuo Byakuya and Ryugi Bakugami, appear! Rikuo becomes GozyuLeon and Ryugi becomes GozyuTyranno, and the four of them, Hoeru and Treasure Hunt No.1, decide to have a treasure hunt showdown...!

Plot

Continuing from the battle between Hoeru Tono and Natsume Tsutsumi, a shot from a man in the distance is blocked by Hoeru. Natsume gives up the fight but promises that he won't show mercy the next time they battle. Later, Hoeru is joking around with Aoi Iijima before he leaves for school and Saori Iijima gets to Hoeru about the rent again, with Hoeru telling her that he's job hunting and that she'll get it in time.

Meanwhile, Fire Candle confronts Bouquet on King Candela's repairs and is upset that he can't get revenge on Hoeru but Cassios Beia appears and tells Fire that he can handle it, much to their mutual excitement while Mr. Shining Knife & Mrs. Sweet Cake tell them that a favored No.1 Monster has been sent to Earth. Later, Saori is walking home but is asked if she likes treasure by a voice. She was then taken by Treasure Hunt No.1 with Tono responding to her screams and being too late to save her. Treasure Hunt No.1 begins a rampage on the city with Hono preparing to confront him, but two men intervene. One of the men, clad in Monk outfit outright brought a Grand Piano with his bare arms and starts playing Tega Sword Hymn, while another one, clad in Idol outfit declared his LIVE and wrestle Treasure Hunter No. 1 while announcing his song. While this perplexed Tono, he's quick to notice that the two men possess rings similar to him as well.

GozyuLeon's and GozyuTyranno's First Appearances

The men then transform into a blue lion warrior, GozyuLeon and a yellow tyrannosaurus warrior, GozyuTyranno. They engage the monster and Combatant Aryee, but they stop and make a deal: Whoever gets the most treasure wins their fight, but the monster must promise to not attack the city in the meanwhile.

The two men try to form an alliance with Hoeru, but Hoeru turns it down and the men introduce each other to him as Rikuo Byakuya and Ryugi Bakugami before Hoeru manages to shake them off and escape. Later, he tries to find treasure using Tega Sword Red, disrupting campers nearby. Knowing this, Ryugi is livid as his revered Tega Sword being used a shovel and uses his strength to throw boulders and a tree at Hoeru, forcing him to leave but Ryugi ends up finding treasure under the tree he threw. Meanwhile, Rikuo struggles to find treasure but finds Treasure Hunt No.1 robbing banks and since he's keeping his agreement, can't stop him but the robbery gives him an idea. He later goes to an old couple that adores him and he fakes having something in his throat in order to gain the couple's sympathy and money. They give him a vase that was handed down from the Edo period so that he can get treatment.

Meanwhile, Hoeru is still looking for treasure but finds Aoi being bullied for his treasure that his mom gave him. He scares off the bully and asks what the treasure was. Aoi shows Hoeru his mom's prized Onigiri and he splits with Hoeru. He asks if Hoeru has a treasure with the man saying he doesn't but hopes that Aoi doesn't lose his before leaving. Aoi also asked Hoeru if he saw his mom, since she's been missing. Hoeru assured Aoi that she'll return home soon, and get an idea on how to win the battle afterwards...

The next day, Ryugi, Rikuo and Treasure Hunt No.1 place their treasures. After a counting session, Treasure Hunt is announced as winner for the battle. As he gloated his victory and preparing to attack Earth, Cassios Beia suddenly appeared, controlling Ayayser Crossandra to help Treasure Hunt with his conquest. But before they could even begin, Hoeru appears and scatter all of the treasures the other participants has hunted, visibly shocking them. He then uses the brief moments of confusion to steals the bag that Treasure Hunt had and takes the treasure that all the contestants had, claiming that he simply need to Rip Off other people treasures to win. With that, the final round began and Hoeru tells the monster that he's going to be Number One in Treasure Hunt and take Saori back. He transforms and fights the monster along with Combatant Aryee before getting overwhelmed by the Combatant Aryee group. Rikuo joins in shortly after transforming into Gozyu Leon, claiming that while he wanted to snatch Hoeru's ring, he feel it's a waste to let some tenacious fool like him to die so soon. Then Ryugi summons Kyojin Tega Sword to fight Ayayser Crossandra, and configured the Kyojin into Tega Sword Yellow, much to Ryugi's ecstatic.

Tega Sword Yellow's First Appearance

Rikuo continues his battle with the Combatant Aryee and uses the Boonboomger Sentai Ring to transform in Bun Red and use the Boonboomger's power to redirect their shots to beat the soldiers. Meanwhile Hoeru continues fighting Treasure Hunt, who tells him that his defeat won't mean anything because there are more No.1 Monsters, but Hoeru accepts that challenge and together, the Gozyugers beat No One World Buraidan and Hoeru takes Saori back from Treasure Hunt, freeing her and destroying Treasure Hunt No.1. Gozyu Wolf claims his victory as the No.1 Treasure Hunter and becoming the winner of the match. Fire Candle is angered by their defeat, especially since Cassios Beia is his best friend. On the other hand, Bouquet notices the golden Tega Swords of the Gozyugers and their rings, claiming that they possess a special shine.

The café redecorated

Later, Hoeru wakes up to find the café to be redecorated with everything related to praise Tega Sword . He runs into Saori, who tells him that there is a new manager, and that the manager is Ryugi while Rikuo tells him that it'll be more convenient if they stay close together. Hoeru tries to tell them off, but Saori asks for the rent money and Hoeru asks for where the treasure that he claimed went and Ryugi and Rikuo told him that it was either given to the police or returned to their owners, putting Hoeru in a tight spot and having him run off for a job.

Meanwhile, Natsume watches him from a distance and says that the day they must fight again will come again before walking away to a unknown destination, keeping the ¥250 Hoeru paid him as a charm of sorts.

Incorrect blade color.

• When Ryugi caught the blade hand from Tega Sword it was colored correctly but when the shot changed to a zoom in of Ryugi, the color changed into the blue color of the standard Tega Sword blade that the Rangers use to transform.
