The Crossroads of Transferring Away From Home... (単身赴任の分岐点・・・ Tanshinfunin no Bunkiten...) is the twenty-seventh episode of Gekisou Sentai Carranger. It is the beginning of a two-part climax involving Signalman as well as an event known as the "Bowzock Festival".
Synopsis[]
When Signalman receives a letter from his family back home, he is forced to determine whether to leave Earth to the Carranger or stay to protect it from the Bowzock.
Plot[]
By a riverside, Signalman stands watch in Kobaan Base as he states no one is around. He hears the bell of a bike approaching; it's a postman giving him a letter, surprising him as it's from Sigtarou, his son on Planet Police! In the letter, Sigtarou asks about the peace on "Earsh" and mentioning his school is to have a sports festival and that he wants to enter the three-legged race with him and win; asking him to take a vacation and return to Planet Police to attend. Signalman recalls his son and the fun of the duo as they practice with his wife, Sigue watching. Seeing a photo of his wife and child, Signalman shows relent that he wants to go on vacation back home on Police; but he has his mission to fight the Bowzock and he can't abandon Earsh and his mission, asking them for forgiveness to the point he knocks over his bike, damaging it!
At Pegasus Garage, Kyosuke reveals the "last cold ramen of the season" to the entire squad, the five regretting the end of summer before devouring it. Signalman suddenly arrives but is ignored by the Pegasus workers until he directs their attention to fixing his Policepeeder, making them realizing he's there.
On the Baribarian, Gynamo announces the annual "Bowzock Festival" and tells his men to start preparing for it. Zelmoda regrets that the group is having a recession due to the Carranger to Grotch while they believe they'll still have a good festival. Zonnette soon arrives with XX Mileno, Bowzock's best pizza maker, stating he figured a recipe to make a good pizza with the Carranger, but Gynamo admits the Bowzock Festival is more important than Carranger or pizza! Zonnette relents and states that she'll get her happi coat for the festival; but XX Mileno yells at them for looking down on pizza, claiming he'll still go through with making a Carranger Pizza to prove himself to everyone!
Back on Earth, the Bowzock alarm goes off but Dappu is strangely asleep, waking up to notice it and call the Rangers; but overhears Signalman explain how he became a "business bachelor" in abandoning his wife and son for duty on "Earsh". Dappu realizes the team can't transform in front of Signalman as the others help on deciding whether Signalman's duty to the Bowzock or to his family is more important. When Kyosuke asks if he's just choosing work, the officer states that's not the only reason he can't go back to Police; but before he can reveal what it is, Dappu appears in disguise stating "the Bowzock have appeared" as he hits a pan, making the Rangers state that it was just a weird neighbor. Signalman orders the Pegasus workers to get the Policepeeder finished so he can pursue the Bowzock as Natsumi relents it will take time to fix it. Without warning, Dappu uses Carmagic to "fix" the Policepeeder making Signalman ride off as the Carranger are finally able to transform.
Signalman soon sees the Carranger pass him riding to the scene as the officer yells at them for trying to pass him to get to the Bowzock first, chasing in pursuit. Kyosuke asks Yoko to use the Navic Com to find the Gorotsuki, revealing he is at Amanoura Park nearby; as the team arrive, the team finds Ichitaro eating a pizza and states that the Bowzock agent gave him the pizza and went in another direction; but Signalman soon arrives and, after greeting Ichitaro, warns the Carranger of their persistent of passing him without his permission! Kyosuke asks why he can't be more flexible, but Signalman states they're supposed to protect the peace while following rules which they tend not to, which is why he can't leave "Earsh". He decides to put it aside until the Bowzock are defeated as he rushes off, dropping his photo as Ichitaro gives his pizza to Naoki and checks the letter from Sigtarou, surprising the Carranger as they realize who he is. As Signalman searches for the Bowzock, XX Mileno hides stating that the officer won't taste good even in pizza and desires to eliminate him. With a plot, the Gorotsuki approaches Signalman, who yells at XX Mileno for giving Ichitaro the pizza earlier; XX Mileno admits that there were tasty pizza nearby violating traffic rules; as he speaks, several sentient pizzas are seen causing traffic incident blocking traffic and signs causing a ruckus. The officer decides to take in the pizza for causing these problems; XX Mileno states that was easy as the Carranger appear, yelling at him for manipulating Signalman and he isn't merely some nice Bowzock giving pizza away. Asking what he's scheming, XX Mileno merely shows a pizza, making Natsumi states that they wouldn't be Earthling if they were scared of a pizza; even Pink Racer says they're here favorite making Kyosuke change the subject. XX Mileno states Bowzock Pizza is special as he throws them at the Carranger, then sends several flying, sentient pizza towards them forcing them to dodge them until they're hit by them nonstop!
The Carranger soon fall to the ground as XX Mileno states they won't get away until he's attacked by Pegasus Thunder and Dragon Cruiser; making the pizza maker to throw pizzas on their steering wheels and tires to manipulate them and have them attack the Carranger, shocking the team as they see how the pizzas are controlling their cars! The vehicles chase down the Carranger into a warehouse as they ram into the team, throwing them onto a plate of pizza dough in a giant closing oven! The Carranger wonder what's going on as they become worried; the team realize where they are as XX Mileno reveals he's making them into a tasty Carranger Pizza in this oven; Kyosuke tries to fire an Auto Blaster but is blocked as XX Mileno reveals the recipe: fresh dough with five Carranger, onions, bell peppers, tomato, mushrooms, salami and cheese on top, then bake it in a hot fire that nearly burns the team which they need to wait a while for.
Elsewhere, Signalman complains about how the Bowzock played him as Ichitaro rushes by with the letter from Sigtarou which he states is important to him. Ichitaro asks if he'll return to planet Police but he state he won't even when Ichitaro states he wants to. Signalman raises his head to the sky but soon sees the plume and smells something, stating that his job comes first leaving the boy behind.
In the warehouse, the Carranger Pizza is finished as Signalman comes by the giant oven as it opens, revealing the team trapped within a giant pizza! XX Mileno states it looks good as Signalman uses his Signizer on him to knock him down before asking to get him out but has a hard time getting them out of the cheese as XX Mileno throws more Bowzock Pizzas knocking him away. Pegasus Thunder and Dragon Cruiser soon attack knocking him aside and crashing into him as XX Mileno prepares to eat the Carranger Pizza with the crispy crust; Yoko worries about him slicing a leg but the Gorotsuki states it wants to make him eat it more! As Signalman panics, Pegasus Thunder and Dragon Cruiser approach as the officer takes out his Signizer to exhibit traffic justice and the key rule of the universe: a red light is stop, stopping the vehicles and freeing the two cars from the evil pizza with traffic rules! Turning to XX Mileno, he uses his Signizer to stop the meal; the Gorotsuki throws a pizza at him making the officer leap high enough to fire his gun to free the Carranger from the pizza, shocking XX Mileno as the Rangers and officer team up into a team and hit the Gorotsuki as a team until Red Racer summons the Giga Booster to defeat him. Deciding to eat a pizza with Imocho imo youkan, XX Mileno grows giant, making Signalman stating he's growing without permission, summoning Sirender and changing it to battle mode. XX Mileno fights the giant mech as he throws more Bowzock Pizza towards him but he's soon hit by the Yellow Vehicle Spin Kick stunning the Gorotsuki long enough to take a Siren Vulcan and Gekisou Cut from RV Sword to finish him off.
Later, Signalman continues to worry about his son even after defeating XX Mileno. The Carranger rush and thank him for helping them as the team ask him to help them continue fighting the Bowzock. Signalman worries about whether he should continue to fight with the Carranger, being another reason to not return to Police. Ichitaro rushes to the officer, but a deck of cards soon attack them as Zelmoda abducts him, shocking the team and Signalman until Zelmoda puts a sword to the boy, stating he can't fight today because the Bowzock have an important event to attend and will retreat, taking the boy with him and shocking the team and Signalman.
