Enter the Space Karaoke Master (宇宙カラオケ名人登場 Uchū Karaoke Meijin Tōjō) is the twenty-second episode of Choju Sentai Liveman. It features the arrival another alien ally of Great Professor Bias: Chibuchian Butchy.
Synopsis[]
Megumi tries to give confidence to a girl whose song may be the only means to stop a mad musical alien.
Plot[]
Butchy and Guitar Brain descend into an ampitheatre filled with excited fans. Instead of playing rock, they play a lullaby, which causes all of the humans to faint.
Meanwhile, Megumi Misaki climbs out of the ocean to play with a hermit crab. She is enchanted by a distant melody, and as she investigates, she finds the student Kumiko playing the keyboard inside of a classroom. Megumi applauds her, but Kumiko is embarrassed. Kumiko tells her that she is only playing the song to practice and win a pop song contest, which will take her out of the country side and to big city Tokyo.
In big city Tokyo, Butchy and Guitar brain continue playing lullabies at various soundstages, knocking out more humans and even cats. Their song gets radio play, causing car accidents. As the two rock out in front of a flaming vehicle, the Livemen arrive to investigate on their Moto Machines. Butchy introduces himself as an alien karaoke singer and explains his plans to put Earth to sleep with Guitar Brain. They play their lullaby, causing the Livemen to grow drowsy. They press a button on their belts to mute the sound, but this leaves them susceptible to a Jimmer sneak attack from behind. Butchy uses his Eyeball Revolver and Butchy Punch attacks to knock the Livemen back and out of transformation. This leaves them susceptible to Guitar Brain's song. Yusuke and Jou fall asleep, and Megumi barely manages to escape. Colon arrives on the Cougar Vulcan, bombing Butchy and Guitar Brain, before racing off with Jou and Yusuke in tow. As she escapes, Butchy tells her that those who fall asleep to Guitar Vulcan's lullaby will never wake up.
Megumi collapses by the marina's seawall.
Guitar Brain and Butchy go to Brain Base, where they skate around and perform. This infuriates the Doctors, who confront them. Professor Bias applauds and approves of them, calling them "fun" for how they've stumped the Livemen.
Back at Gran Tortoise, Colon struggles to awaken Jou and Yusuke with any of her alarm clocks.
Kumiko continues her song, Spark! Umi E. Her playing awakens Megumi. Colon contacts her, telling her the song must have been the cure.
Butchy and Guitar Brain storm into Kumiko's classroom, opening fire on her. Megumi follows after, and saves Kumiko. In a seaside cave, Megumi begs her to continue playing the song to save the Livemen and the world. Kumiko is upset that she'll be likely attacked again and is more focused on how this is her last change at stardom. Out of nowhere, they are shot with arrows - maiming Kumiko's wrist - and then charged by Guitar Brain into the ocean. Guitar Brain and Butchy claim victory and play their song at the marina.
Megumi pulls Kumiko out of the ocean. Kumiko laments her maimed wrist and worries she'll never get famous. Megumi bandages her and encourages her to write a song that will inspire people to live and fight.
As Butchy and Megumi continue playing their song, they find their guitar is being out-tuned. Megumi approaches from the seaside rocks playing Spark! Umi E on the keytar - but she isn't very good at it, and doesn't know how the song continues. Kumiko arrives to watch as Butchy gloats over Megumi's naivete. Megumi tries to duel them with the keytar, but Butchy and Guitar Brain beat her with their fists.
While Megumi screams, Kumiko finds a toy piano washed up on shore. Before Guitar Brain can lure Megumi to sleep again, Kumiko plays the piano. As she plays, Megumi activates her communicator and races back into the melee. Back at Gran Tortoise, Jou and Yusuke wake up. They quickly join Megumi at the rocky beach. Jou insults Butchy's musical talent, calling him a clown rather than an artist.
The Livemen transform. The Jimmer attempt to gun Blue Dolphin from afar, but she dodges under the waves. Guitar Brain similarly tries to blast her with his guitar, but is countered in the same way - Blue Dolphin goes under the waves, and resurfaces with her Dolphin Arrow to blast him down.
The Livemen try a new technique - forming their unique weapons into the Triple Bazooka. They follow up with the Biomotion Buster.
Gash revives and grows Guitar Brain with the Giga Phantom. Red Falcon calls in the fully-formed LiveRobo. Massive Guitar Brain plays his song, which does have an effect on LiveRobo's sensors, but he shoots his blaster through it. The LiveRobo charges and finishes off Guitar Brain with the Super Live Crash.
By the sea, Kumiko teaches Megumi how to play the song on the keytar. Jou and Yusuke applaud them. The episode ends with all of the Livemen and Kumiko playing in the water. The narrator explains that Kumiko never got famous, but her song saved lives.
