Ep. 17: The King Does Not Flee (王は逃げない Ō wa Nigenai) is the seventeenth episode of Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger. It features the debut of Extreme King-Ohger (albeit incomplete), as well as the first appearance of Daigorg.
Synopsis[]
The Bug Naraku attack Nkosopa after supposedly negotiating peace with Rcules. As Yanma fights to protect his country from the Bug Naraku, the former hero of the Bug Naraku, the one-hit wonder, Daigorg, appears! What will happen to Yanma as he is hunted down by the onslaught of Daigorg? And what is Rcules' terrifying idea that threatens Chikyu?
Plot[]
Rcules Husty tells Yanma that in order for the Bug Naraku to leave, N'Kosopa must join the treaty and swear fealty. Yanma declines and Gira continues the battle. Meanwhile, Dezunaraku is reviving an ancient warrior. Jeramie asks Rcules on what happened with the peace treaty, though as it turns out, Rcules offered peace specifically for Shugodam and tells him that the only way to unify Chikyu is to unite it under his rule.
The attacks have cooled off on N'Kosopa but the more they keep happening, it won't be good. Yanma tells Gira that his usual do-or-die attitude won't keep him going forever. Gira doesn't really listen and Yanma puts Gira down, threatening to take Gira down himself if he doesn't stop messing around. Yanma talks with Kaguragi, asking for help but Kaguragi offers his help should Rcules allow it, Yanma was glad to hear that atleast he didn't tell Rcules about Gira being alive and that if he ever decides to come back to the King-Ohgers, he's welcome. Rita and Hymeno arrive to N'Kosopa since Bugs have attacked their kingdoms as well. The team comes to the conclusion to stop the attacks that they must arrest Jeramie. Rita puts their retainer on the job to look for Jeramie while Yanma asks for help from Hymeno and Shiokara. Rcules tells his citizens that peace was made with the Bugs but with the use of King-Ohger from the other nations, the peace is being disrupted. Jeramie watches in disgust before heading to Rcules. Geroujim alerts Jeramie of Daigorg's revival and Jeramie confronts Rcules. Jeramie tells Rcules of a civil war between the Bug Naraku and of Daigorg and that he's being resurrected, the actions of someone who doesn't intend of keeping peace.
Rcules isn't shocked and is actually the one who provided them the technology to do that. The resurrection of their champion was Rcules' peace offering. Jeramie is distraught, telling the king that they're simply using him. Rcules shows his true colors, not caring if they are using him, only wanting to stand at the top of power as he laughs manically. Jeramie leaves defeated and Morphonia arrests Jeramie. in N'Kosopa, it's attacked again and Yanma engages them while Jeramie is held in a trial. Rita tells the man that his naivete pushed them further from peace then closer but gives him a choice: Reflect on his actions in a cell or help actual peace with the power of God Tarantula. Jeramie is even further disappointed by seeing that even Rita wanting more power. Rita denies this by saying he has no power, saying that individually they have no power which is why they pool their strength together to protect Chikyu. Jeramie is touched but says such speeches like Rita's aren't touching which makes Rita almost embarrassed. Later, Rita appears to help the fight in N'Kosopa with Jeramie joining shortly. He latches onto the Shugods and forms King-Ohger with a forced combination using his webs. King-Ohger is hard to move but it holds long enough to defeat the Bugs.
Extreme King-Ohger's debut
The people of Shugodam see this (though they believe this is the work of Rcules). Rcules as appears in God Kuwagata Zero and is not happy with the use of King-Ohger. Yanma says now it's time for his plan. Hymeno leaves, taking Rita with her for help. Daigorg finally appears in N'Kosopa and battles Jeramie and Yanma but the General beats them with ease. Yanma, defeated and untransformed is at the mercy of Rcules who appears and tells him that he must swear allegiance to be saved. Yanma declines again as the citizens of his city are being transported by Hymeno's nurses. Shiokara grabs Gira and tells him that Yanma is buying them time to escape and that once everyone is gone Yanma can escape but Gira questions if the president would ever run. Yanma tries to transform but is too weak to fight back, but he states that he won't suck up to anyone no matter what as Daigorg comes closer to finish the Ohger off, finally, Daigorg strikes him. Rcules laughing, the citizens of Shugodam frightened and Shiokara in tears... BUT Gira at the last minute had moved Yanma out of the way and reveals he is alive to the world and Rcules. Yanma is handed to Shiokara but before he's taken away. Yanma tells him that he better not lose and finally faints, knowing that Gira is finally serious and will win this battle. Gira tells Rcules that he will be the downfall of Rcules, pulling out his Calibur and telling him that he has resurrected from the depths of Hell...
