Who will be the No.1 in the all-out Sports Day!? In the middle of all this, Mashiro's shocking past is also revealed...!?
Plot[]
The episode begins at TegaSword Village, where Sumino shows Hoeru a new Sentai Ring that she just acquired: The Go-Onger Ring, while Kinjiro reveals that he also got the Kiramager Ring. Ryugi reminds them that the Sentai Rings belong to TegaSword and should be handled with care, so they put them in their respective Ring Cases. While they're talking, Aoi walks down the stairs with a sad face. Hoeru does one of his scary faces in an attempt to cheer him up, but Aoi is still sad and walks out of the café. The Gozyugers ask Saori what happened to him, so she explains that he's going to his sports day, but doesn't like sports. She's also worried because she heard rumors about a sports day vandal that causes chaos at sports days at another elementary school, which somehow piques Hoeru's interest.
Aoi sees two people running and sits on a bench depressed. Mashiro notices him while walking BearKuma 50 and asks him what's wrong. He introduces himself as Godness Kumade, a soon-to-be god. Aoi asks him if he can cancel his sports day if he's a so-called god. He explains that he can't run fast enough. Mashiro tells him to pray to him, and in return he'll help him out. Suddenly, Undokai No.1 appears and reveals himself as the rumored sports day vandal that Saori mentioned. He then uses his powers to turn the park into an elementary school's yard, and summons the other Gozyugers, now dressed in tracksuits matching their colors. Undokai No.1 introduces himself and asks the Gozyugers to compete against him in a battle of sports.
Rikuo hates the tracksuit and tries to take it off, but to no avail. However, to his teammates' surprise, Hoeru joins Undokai No.1's pledge for a fair sports day and asks him what's the first challenge is, brimming with unusual excitement. Aoi is still uninterested and sits back. Undokai No.1 announces the first challenge: The Gozyugers will compete with him and the Ai in filling a basket with balls. The referee, a golden Ai named Gorg Lugo, announces the Sports Day No.1 Battle, and the challenge begins.
As the Gozyugers try getting the balls in the basket, the Ai cheat by shooting at them with their Chamburns. Sumino asks Gorg to stop the cheating, but he ignores her and reads a Manga. Mashiro decides to summon GoodeBurn, who comes in his fist form and lowers the basket, allowing the Gozyugers to easily fill it. The Gozyugers manage to fill the basket before the Bridans, but Gorg still declares Undokai No.1's team as the winners, and blames the Gozyugers for cheating despite them cheating as well. BearKuma then prints a 8 Million Yen bill that the Gozyugers have to pay, which causes Kinjiro to almost faint out of shock.
At No-One World, Ms. Sweet Cake mentions the situation regarding Prince TegaNaguru, thinking that GoodeBurn is just a silly nickname he gave himself. TegaJune appears and admits that Bouquet was right that they pulled of the marriage ceremony with TegaSword too early, and tells her that she'll wait until she gets all of the Sentai Rings and properly chooses a pilot before attempting to recreate the world again. She tells Bouquet to continue assisting the No.1 Monsters in the meantime, so Mr. Shining Knife and Ms. Sweet Cake tell her to go and help Undokai No.1.

GoodeBurn freeing Mashiro
Undokai No.1 announces the second challenge: A three-legged race. Hoeru and Rikuo are chosen to race against Undokai No.1 and three Ai. Mashiro wishes Hoeru luck and calls him Second Generation again, but Hoeru boasts that when he becomes Number One at sports day, Mashiro could no longer insult him like that and must call him "Hoeru-Sama". Mashiro decides to take a break and eat a bento, and hires a group of professional chefs to prepare a meal for the rest of the Gozyugers and Aoi. Mashiro adds honey to his meals, which weirds out Ryugi but charms Sumino, who asks him how old he is. He answers that he's 26 years old, or more accurately, 10,026 years old. When Kinjiro asks him what he means by that, he explains that after he saved the world in the Universe War and his wish to save the world came true, he was trapped in the space time continuum. As a result, he turned into a stone statue and stuck in the Robo Graveyard for 10,000 years. It was only when GoodeBurn found him that he was freed from his prison, but he says that the world remained imperfect even after 10,000 years. That's why he decided to become a god and reform the world.
The three-legged race begins, but Hoeru and Rikuo trip down at the beginning. Mashiro continues his story and says that he'll make all of the Sentai Rings his own by dying them in his cyan color, that way he would become a bigger god than TegaSword. Predictably, Ryugi finds Mashiro declaration as blasphemous and tells Mashiro that he could never replace TegaSword as the one True God, but Mashiro tells him to be careful not to lose his Ring, much to the monk’s frustration. Hoeru and Rikuo keep on tripping, and while Rikuo asks him to be careful, Hoeru is determined to win the race. Rikuo asks him why he's so worked up about this, and Hoeru tells him that when he lived at No-One World, he never once experienced sports days, so he wants to relieve the feeling. Hearing this, Rikuo can sympathize with Hoeru and decides to help the lone wolf win the race, so the two transform together and continue the race, eventually catching up with the Bridans and getting to the finish line first. Unfortunately, Gorg still declares Undokai No.1 and his Ai partner as the winners, since Hoeru and Rikuo tied their legs with a red strap, while both Bridan teams tied theirs with a white one. Mashiro realizes that Gorg is fixing the battle in favor of the Bridans, and gets an idea about how to change the tide in the Gozyugers' favor.
Undokai No.1 announces the third challenge: a chicken fight. While The Gozyugers are feeling hopeless since the game is fixed to the Bridans advantage, Mashiro still transforms into Gozyu Polar and asks Aoi to be his partner for the challenge. Aoi is naturally opposed to this, but Mashiro carries him and tells him that he'll reform his world. The fight begins, and Mashiro jumps high, which initially scares Aoi, but thanks to Mashiro's encouragement, Aoi later gets excited at seeing the ground from that point of view. After they land, Mashiro tells him that it's okay to not like sports, but life is short and it'd be much better to experience it in the most creative and fun ways. They continue fighting, and Aoi manages to disqualify a quarter of Ai by snatching the headband worn by the one riding on top. Mashiro thanks Aoi and lets him go away before going to talk with Gorg.
The core Gozyugers transform and join the game of tag. Mashiro returns and quickly ride on Hoeru, Rikuo and Ryugi, much to the Trio displeasure. Left with Sumino, Kinjiro uses the Kiramager Ring and retransforms into Kiramai Red. He then pulls out a sketchbook and draws two identical copies of Gozyu Eagle, which come to life, allowing him and Sumino to participate in the chicken fight as well. The fight continues, and Undokai No.1 sends ball bombs from his head to startle the Gozyugers. Mashiro summons BearKuma 50 to shoot at the Bridans, while Sumino uses the Unicorn Drill 50 to disqualify the second team of Ai. Mashiro then manages to snatch Undokai No.1's headband and disqualify his team.

Mashiro persuading Gorg Lugo
Despite the loss, Undokai No.1 is still confident in Winning since the Bridans won the previous races. But to his surprise, Gorg Lugo announces the Gozyugers (specifically GozyuPolar) as the winners of the overall battle and inadvertently shows off a shining, jewel-decorated gold mallet. Mashiro reveals that when he went to speak with Gorg, he bribed him with the mallet in favor of him announcing the Gozyugers as the winners, to fight back against the Bridans fixing the game. This revelation Infuriated Undokai No.1, even throwing a Tantrum that Mashiro should've played Fair and Square, only for Mashiro to mock the monster that out of all people, Undokai is the least fitting to say that. Mashiro then uses Finish Knuckle on the No.1 Monster, destroying him and freeing his victim - a young boy that Aoi seems to recognize. Aoi retreats with the kid to safety and the Undokai No.1 is destroyed, returning the surroundings to normal.
Bouquet arrives in Calendius a little too late, scaring Gorg so much that the Ai decides to continue the Sports Day and goes to summon his own Dress Guard. Mashiro summons GoodeBurn, but before he and Bouquet could fight, Gorg appears in Ayayser Ribbon Bush and decides to turn the battle into a hurdle race. As the two of them race, Bouquet uses Calendius' rocket boosters to pass GoodeBurn. GoodeBurn catches up with them, but they have to choose between two walls: One leads to the goal, but the other leads to a pool of mud. Mashiro uses his intuition and breaks through the right wall, while Bouquet breaks through the left one. As a result, Goodeburn safely reaches the goal, while Calendius falls into the mud. Bouquet throws a tantrum and retreats, which allows Mashiro to use GoodeBurn's finisher and destroy Gorg Lugo and Ayayser Ribbon Bush, winning the Sports Day Battle.

Mashiro ripping the paycheck for Aoi
After the battle, Undokai No.1's victim, the boy named Taiyo, regains his consciousness, and tells the Gozyugers and Aoi that he's been practicing for sports day before the No.1 possessed him. Aoi realizes that Taiyo also feels that he's not good at sports, and offers to train with him. BearKuma asks them to pay for Mashiro's service, which costed 5 Million Yen, but the boys ignore him and run away. Mashiro himself tears the receipt, telling BearKuma that's it's good to be considerate at times, much to the bear's complaints as they left. The core Gozyugers watch with smiles on their faces as Aoi and Taiyo go on a run practice as the episode ends.

Elements/Homages to Super Sentai[]

Gozyuger Episode 17's Title Card
- The episode contains the word for Shine (キラッと Kiratto) derived from the Kiramagers rollcall in reference to Kinjiro using the Kiramager Sentai Ring.
- Kinjiro uses the Kiramager Ring to conjure two copies of himself after drawing them in a sketchbook, an ability that the original Kiramai Red, Juru Atsuta, possessed. He even concludes the process with Juru's catchphrase, "Hiramei-King!".
- The Gozyu Eagle copies also reference the Kiramagers' usage of Substitute N dolls to clone themselves.
Errors[]

Park background incorrectly spliced
- During the scene just before Undokai No.1 transports Mashiro and Aoi to his domain, the left side of the park can be seen incorrectly spliced with a different park part.
