Deadly! Grim Reaper Gash (必殺! 死神ガッシュ Hissatsu! Shinigami Gasshu) is the fifteenth episode of Choju Sentai Liveman.
Synopsis[]
Jou protects a robot being targeted by Gash for a special crystal Bias wishes to obtain.
Plot[]
Guardnoid Gash is sent to attack a robotics laboratory at night. As he uses Video Eye to make the robot escape from the lab and onto the streets, Jou Ohara stumbles by and finds the robot. He takes it back to Gran Tortoise for repairs and dubs it "Hanako".
Meanwhile, Doctor Ashura begs Professor Bias to let him finish Gash's job, but Bias expresses disappointment in Ashura's last few failed schemes.
Jou begins hanging out with the robot outside, taking him skateboarding at a theme park. Megumi is amused by this, and Yusuke teases that he's befriended the robot so as to not third-wheel Megumi and Yusuke's possible romance, but Megumi brushes this off. Gash attacks with Fire Brain and Jinmmer, and the Liveman fight amidst the theme park.
When the Livemen get to a place of hiding, Colon contacts them and informs them that Gash is likely looking for the crystal of infinite power within Hanako. Hanako runs off. Jou explains that Hanako did this because she felt like a burden, which Yusuke questions, but Jou follows, tracking Hanako down to an industrial zone where Gash stalks and hunts them down. Jou tries to run Gash down with a dumptruck, but he holds it back. Gash chokes Jou. Megumi and Yusuke arrive to save him, but are forced to fight the Jinmmer and Fire Brain first instead. Before Gash can execute Jou, Yanako sacrifices herself, taking the brunt of the shot before ramming into Gash and exploding with the last words "Goodbye Jou". She takes the jewel of infinite energy with her. Jou transforms and vows to make the enemies feel even a fraction of the same pain Hanako did.
The Livemen defeat Fire Brain with the Biomotion Buster and then the Live Robo.
The Livemen build a crude grave for Hanako. Megumi cries and apologizes for being so rude to Hanako. Jou vows to never forget the courage she taught them.
