Ah, the Vengeful Goddess (あァ復讐の女神 Aa Fukushū no Megami) is the tenth episode of Gosei Sentai Dairanger. It is the second episode involving the Peacock Buddha Kujaku and introduces her rivalry with Lieutenant Colonel Gara.
Synopsis[]
Kujaku's peaceful ways become inflamed when she decides to pursue Gara for her six-thousand years of grief, troubling Daigo.
Plot[]
After she is freed from Mirror Make-Up Artist, Kujaku hangs out with the Dairangers, with them questioning how she was captured. She reveals that 6000 years ago, she showed Gara mercy and aided her, but she tricked her and caused her to be trapped in Mirror Make-Up Artist's mirror. After she tells the story, birds flutter and Kujaku throws a knife at a tree, revealing Gara laughing at her. Kujaku attacks, and Daigo tries to stop her, as she is scaring the animals. Kujaku turns her blades towards Daigo, knocking him down, crying he does not understand her anger. Gara disappears and Kujaku chases after her.
Elsewhere, the petals of a sakura tree causes a group of people to run berserk and attack each other. The tree transforms into Sakura Viscount, who gloats that humans are easy prey.
At his pet shop, Daigo worries about Kujaku when he was contacted by the other Dairangers, dealing with a case of people turning violent and rampaging through the city.
Daigo arrives and tries to stop them, while Kujaku watches from afar. Kujaku realizes what is happening, and throws peacock feathers at them, causing the civilians to fall over. Daigo pleads her to stop, and runs to her. Kujaku states that compassion will lead to defeat, before teleporting away.
At headquarters, the team are healing up and discussing about Kujaku's actions. Rin states that Kujaku's actions are unforgivable, while Ryo simply says they should find the Gorma. They leave to do so, but Kaku decides to tell Daigo that while Kujaku has a point, having compassion is what makes a true warrior. He leaves Daigo to contemplate.
Later, Kujaku finds Sakura Viscount, and asks where Gara is. Gara then appears, and challenges Kujaku. They fight, using their Yo-Power and Qi-Power against one another. The Dairangers arrive, but are forced to watch the two battle and destroy their surroundings. As Sakura Viscount watches with delight, the Dairangers faces the Gorma. They transform, and faces a group of Cotpotros, and Sakura Viscount, and successfully defeats the Gorma.
Sakura Viscount uses a Growth Bomb to grow giant, and the Dairangers form Dairen'Oh to battle. In a single strike, Dairen'Oh destroys the Gorma.
Later, Daigo visits the museum, and wonders where Kujaku is. He sees a vision of her, and she promises they will meet again. Daigo pleads with her to return to her gentle self once more.
