This article is about a Morpher in Power Rangers Dino Thunder. |
- "White Ranger, Dino Power!"
- ―Morphing call
- "Dino Thunder, Power up! HA!"
- ―Alternate morphing call
- "Anybody know what time it is? It's Morphin' Time!"
- ―Brody and the Legendary Rangers[src]
The Drago Morpher is the White Dino Ranger's morphing device, initially granted to him when the evil White Dino Gem bonded with and corrupted him. It was primarily activated with the call of "White Ranger, Dino Power!", although Trent used the same morphing call as the other Dino Rangers at least twice. Trent pressed the activation button to transform, putting his arm to his chest and saying, "White Ranger, Dino Power!" but would sometimes say "Dino Thunder, Power Up!"
The energy of the Dino Gems, including the White gem, was exhausted in a final confrontation with Mesogog, rendering them useless, and the Drago Morpher inaccessible. TV STORY-Thunder Struck Years later, however, Trent became the White Dino Ranger once more, joining Conner, Ethan, and Kira, with all the other Legendary Rangers, to help the Mega Rangers defeat the Armada once and for all. Alternative to the Drago Morpher, the Super Mega Rangers used a Legendary Ranger Key provided by Gosei to assume the corresponding Ranger form as a Legendary Ranger Mode.
Morphing Sequence[]
In prior real-time footage once the Morpher is present with Trent's hand shown in a closed-to-open transition display of his fingers (the small finger closed onwards towards the open index finger), the Morpher's morph function is primarily activated with a press of the red button with the accompanying call of "White Ranger, Dino Power!" (later replaced by "Dino Thunder, Power Up!" at the time Trent sometimes morphs alongside at least one other Ranger), although the morphing call has varied at least twice.
When the sequence (in an ice surrounding and Trent's body in an energy-formed white light up to the neck from the start throughout) begins, the Morpher's mouth snaps shut by pressing the button to symbolize the morph being triggered; Trent then performs a spinning jump into the air, spinning in the air with an accompanying small brief wind surrounding his body as shards of his Ranger form's chest armor fly into view onto Trent's chest during the spin, flashing as they land on the chest; finally Trent, his Ranger form up to the neck now in view, spins to the ground as the wind fades out (in an explosive fast-speed spread-out effect) of view during the landing, landing in a kneeing stance with the left arm held high open like a wing and the right arm held close to the chest, the sequence finishing with a shot of Trent's serious expression face (with a small-detail view of the stance that he holds from the landing onwards) transitioning in a 90-degree slide-view to his face's right side before the helmet forms at a sharp speed into view followed by Trent entering a Ranger form stance with the Dragozord seen in the background.
Notes[]
In Abaranger, the Dino Minder, the Changer which is the counterpart used by AbareKiller, is shown as its 'mouth' already open on stand-by at the time the user is going to transform into Abaranger form even though the Changer is not shown as its 'mouth' being opened on-screen (via the pull-back lock-into-position mechanism) in preparation for transformation and as such, when the user raises the Dino Minder into view, the 'mouth' is shown open before the trigger button snaps the 'mouth' closed to initiate the transformation - in Dino Thunder, this Morpher is not shown 'open' onscreen at the time the triggering button is going to be pressed and instead shown open exclusively at the start of the morph sequence while the button is pressed, but it is unknown how the Morpher is open in the sequence and not open in real-time shots of the Morpher's button being pressed before the sequence begins.
