This features the final appearance of Brax and the Ninja Blaze Megazord as well as the second and final use of the Ninja Blaze Ultrazord. This is part two of the three part series finale of Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel

Synopsis[]

Madame Odius hosts auditions for a new Galaxy Warriors TV show that will manipulate the minds of its audience worldwide.

Plot[]

Mick is still mind controlled, and working on a special satellite array to brainwash all of humanity while Badonna watches. Odius comes in and ask for an update. Badonna tells her it would be ready in a few hours. Brax enter the room and ask Odius for another chance with the Rangers, but she tells him they would be too busy watching tv. When Mick asks why humans would watch a monster tv show, Odius explains she would create a tv show with humans they would kidnap.

At the school, auditions for a TV show are taking place. After Brody and Levi are dropped by Dane, they meet their friends inside where Hayley is auditioning. Calvin is revealed to be late and soon arrives. He reveals the reason why is because he had car trouble. When Hayley asks for the props she asked him to bring, he reveals he forgot, much to her annoyance. When its her turn to audition, she does a scene from Romeo and Juliet. After she is done, Victor and Monty take the stage and perform a scene with Victor as a doctor and Monty his patient. Their scene ends up being rather comedic, but the producer likes it. He declares Victor and Monty the winners and asks them to come with him. When Hayley asks Calvin if her audition was good, he honestly tells her that Romeo and Juliet might not be best for a tv audition, something Hayley is offended by.

Shortly after getting the part, Victor and Monty begin asking the producer questions about the show and the Rangers soon catch up and notice them. When Victor asks if the show was being taped out of town, the producer reveals himself to be a monster named Gorrox and his assistants are Basherbots. The Basherbots then teleport Victor and Monty to the Warrior Dome while the Rangers watch from a distance. They then confront Gorrox and morph. Brody soon activates the Lion Fire Armor and soon gain the upper hand on Gorrox. However, Brax soon shows up to help Gorrox, and Cosmo Royale gigantifies them. The Rangers summons the Ninja Steel Megazord and Ninja Blaze Megazord and battles the villains. They soon form the Ninja Steel Ultrazord and destroy Gorrox, but Brax dodges their attack and continues fighting them. They then reform the Ninja Steel Megazord and summon the Ninja Blaze Ultrazord and successfully destroy Brax, but not before he apologizes to Badonna for failing.

After defeating Brax and Gorrox, the Rangers head back to their base. An offhand comment created by Calvin leads to a rift between the two lovebirds, ultimately leading to a breakup. On the Warrior Dome, Cosmo announces to the audience that a couple humans would perform for them. As Badonna mourns over Brax's death, the Basherbots bring Victor and Monty, dressed up as clowns, to the stage. They initially refuse to perform, but Cosmo makes them do it by threating to sick the Basherbots on him. He then hands them rubber hammers and has them hit each other with them. The audience is unimpressed by this, so Cosmo decides to drops large metal maces on them, forcing Victor and Monty to try to avoid them.

Odius then has Mick activate the mind control beam and has it broadcasted on all channels. Redbot sees the program and tries to find out what's going on. In the park, Sarah and Hayley discuss the latter's argument with Calvin, and Hayley admits she overreacted to what he said. She tries to call him, but he ignores her calls and soon sees Odius' show and is brainwashed as well. Upon arriving at the school, Principal Hastings tells the Rangers to go home and watch tv. Brody looks inside and sees Basherbots inside. The Rangers then receive a call of Redbot, who explains what was happening. As the Ranger head back to their base, Mick shows up at the front doors and Odius soon follows. When Mick bows to her, the Rangers realize he was brainwashed as well. Badonna then has the humans in the school follow her to the Warrior Dome so Odius can use them as her own personal army to conquer the universe as the Rangers watch from a nearby bush.

Cast[]

Ninja Power Stars[]

Errors[]

  • Levi took the central position in the Ninja Steel Megazord and Ninja Steel Ultrazord cockpits ahead of Brody.
  • When the Ninja Blaze Ultrazord moves in to destroy Brax, Brody is clearly not atop it. This is because AkaNinger remained inside of Ha-Oh Gekiatsu Dai-Oh in Ninninger with the shot of him leaping into it being recycled from "Happy to Be Me".

Notes[]

  • Gorrox's human form is portrayed by Michael Saccente who previously played Game Face in Dino Super Charge.
  • This was originally a two-part episode on Ninninger with the Ninningers being summoned to a dojo where they were ambushed by Gorrox's counterpart.
  • The entire battle against Gorrox and the appearance of Brax, as well as their growth shot, are US-made not to mention the Zord summoning. This is because they original battle had them in a quarry and a lot of it involved unmorphed Rangers. The growth shot is also a US creation because Mangetsu and Super Advanced Yokai Shuten-Doji grew separately in Ninninger with the former growth after the Ninja Steel Megazord's counterpart was freed and the latter to show off after a cut move was performed. The arranged them both at once to keep the idea of the Gigantify Ray only working when fired on one location and because Brax would have grown with Odius's hammer which was clearly visible when he got up.
  • The editors removed a Ninninger move called the Igasaki Family Fury Slashes from the episode and a move involving AkaNinger firing flames at Mangetsu and Shuten-Doji; The latter was cut because he was unmorphed and the former was likely cut because this was actually the origin episode of Brax's showoff battle in the quarry during the episode "Prepare To Fail". It was also likely cut because the shot of him getting up showed Odius's hammer which he would have no reason to possess since he had to steal the thing in Ninninger .
  • This is the final appearance of the team morphing song introduced in the episode The Need for Speed. The finale used the tune from when Brody activates Lion Fire Mode from the episode Caught Red Handed and the Halloween and Christmas specials have the Rangers flash morph instead of the usual morphing sequence.
  • Just like last season, Victor and Monty are kidnapped by the villains and are forced to do something against their will.
  • This is the only time a Ranger uses a Ninja Power Star in the Ninja Super Steel Blaster other than the Super Ninja Steel Mode Star.
  • This is the final time the Lion Fire morphing sequence is shown. It is not used in Reaching the Nexus and The Poisy Show just features the stock shot of the Lion Fire Armor Star spinning and then the Basher Bots around him being thrown off.
    • Monster Mix-Up technically comes after this and shows the sequence and is episode 21. However, in terms of both airdate and series chronology, this episode takes place sometime between Happy to Be Me and Magic Misfire. This is confirmed by Brody asking whether the Gruesome Grunts worked for Odius in the present tense so it is not set after this episode.
  • This episode features Dane's return since "Echoes of Evil".
  • This episode was originally titled "Under Odius' Spell" but was probably changed because that would spoil the plot of the episode.
  • At one point, Preston says he got hired for a birthday party in Angel Grove, the setting for the first six seasons of Power Rangers as well as small appearances and mentions in other seasons.
  • The plot of this episode is similar to "I Love Lothor" from Ninja Storm. Both had civilians mind-controlled by a TV show that was on every channel.
  • After her performance, Hayley tells Calvin to be truthful and honest about her act from Romeo and Juliet. This is a call back to the episode "Attack of the Galactic Ninjas".
  • This is the first episode in the show for Calvin and Hayley to have a true lovers spat. In the end though, the spat led to a breakup.
