Don Murasame (ドンムラサメ, Don Murasame) is an artificial Ranger life form made from light to serve Mother in Avataro Sentai Donbrothers.

History

Somewhere near the Noto base, Don Murasame manifests from particles in a water capsule as Mother calls his name, summoning his awakening. TV STORY-Don 17: Light and Tsubasa

After being awakened by Mother, Don Murasame was ordered by her to travel to the human world. After arriving in the human world and hiding in an alleyway in the form of the Ninjarksword, Murasame was told by Mother to rest for now. After resting up, he would then be tasked by Mother to go and fight the Donbrothers. TV STORY-Don 18: A Jawsome Strike

As revealed by Sonoi, Don Murasame was created by the Noto Council as a weapon against the Juto and that he had escaped from imprisonment. Sononi speculated the reason for Murasame's escape could be that he developed his own consciousness. TV STORY-Don 20: High Nose Elegy TV STORY-Don 30: Juto Hunter

Not only as Don Murasame is tasked to fight, Murasame was also tasked by Mother to protect an Anoni that was being attacked by a Juto. Murasame asked Mother what was his purpose for being created but she dismissed the question. But before he could intercept the Juto, he ran into Jiro Momotani who was currently in his Dangerous Personality. After a short fight with Jiro, where Murasame would Avatar Change into AbareKiller, while Jiro changed into KibaRanger. Murasame decides to flee the battle with Jiro sensing sorrow from Murasame. After Sonoi was killed in his duel against Don Momotaro, Don Murasame had quietly took his dead body back to the Noto Council. TV STORY-Don 27: Duel for Real Once he had done so, the council themselves promised to give him any reward he wished in exchange for performing said task which he had then took as an opportunity to ask for his freedom albeit promising them that he will continue to use his powers for the Noto themselves. However, as explained by the Noto Council, Murasame had escaped from their custody before he had fully matured which had, in turn, caused them to deem Don Murasame as an unstable lifeform. As a result, Don Murasame had promised them that he will learn all he can and take charge of his own completion before he proceeds to make his leave.

However, even though Mother had praised him for receiving his freedom from the Noto, he was still plagued by questions regarding his identity and purpose in life with said questions of his being refuted by Mother as she had stated that only by fighting against the Noto's enemies will he reach completion. Personality

Murasame started life as a blank slate, often obeying Mother’s commands without question. As he spends more time as a sentient being, he begins having existential questions about himself including what he was made for. Despite this, he still obeys orders from Mother without question.

Deep down, however, Murasame was secretly being torn apart by his own existential crisis, with Dangerous Jiro noting that he was able to sense an overwhelming sadness coming from Murasame, along with a feeling that Murasame "wanted to die". Jiro and Murasame were able to bond over their shared troubles regarding their multiple personalities, and Murasame was able to gain some insight on figuring out his own way to live.

Powers and Abilities

Powers

Land Swimming: Don Murasame can swim around in land and through walls as if it was water for sneak attacks. He can even see through land to locate his prey.
Electricity Absorption: To restore his strength, Don Murasame can recharge himself inside the Ninjarksword by siphoning electric energy from power transmission lines. The amount of power he consumes can cause area wide blackouts.
Mental link with Mother: Don Murasame can be advised by Mother in battle via a mental link such as relaying instructions on combat strategy or whether or not to retreat.
Ninjarksword: The Ninjarksword acts as a vessel for Don Murasame, allowing him to travel within it by flying to wherever he desires. He also can remain within the blade for combat, parrying and using aerial strike attacks. He is able to change into the previous Sentai Rangers like the Donbrothers, though without needing the Avataro Gears. When Murasame runs out of energy and goes to sleep, the Ninjarksword is taken over by an evil aura, possessing anyone who wields the sword and turning them into a feral state, commanding them to fight and attack anyone in sight without reason. However, when wielded by Don Momotaro, the Donbrothers' leader is immune to the weapon's corrupting influence, and is able to use it to regain his transformation abilities.

By spinning the gear on the Ninjarksword, Don Murasame transforms into the 15cm tall Don Murasame Alter (ドンムラサメアルター, DonMurasame Arutā). Once engaged, the Don Murasame Alter can change between a humanoid form resembling Don Murasame for active combat or an armored shark form in defensive situations. The Don Murasame Alter is also capable of bouncing off of digital constructs and making use of portals and hidden doorways in combat, assisted by its own sword.

Black Robotaro (ブラックロボタロウ, Burakku Robotarō) is a transitional form assumed by Don Murasame before he fuses with the rest of the black-colored Robotaros to form Black Onitaijin Murasame. It appears as a black and gold version of Don Robotaro.
