Don 7: Group of Teachers (せんせいのむれ,Sensei no Mure) is the seventh episode of Avataro Sentai Donbrothers. It features the debut of the Fiveman Avataro Gear and the final appearance of DonZenkaiOh.
Shinichi and Taro visit Haruka's high school as teachers for a special class that teaches the lives of various people. While the students are asked questions, Taro decides to play against the judo club and shogi club that he had challenged. Haruka asks why Taro attacks his teammates who are supposed to "accompany" him in battle. Meanwhile, Chikyuki appears and absorbed people who did not follow the rules. Tsubasa fights Chikyuki, but it became transparent and disappeared.
Plot[]
After the recap of the previous episode, Haruka narrates that they still do not know who the admin that gives points away is but that is not important for now.
Haruka’s high school has a very strict principal who adhered to the rules, said principal scolds Haruka for running in the hallway as she races to get to class on time. Haruka also mentions that the principal has bad allergies, so bad in fact this time that he could not show up for work, which is wonderful for her as she can run in the hallway without being stopped. Her enjoyment of school is ruined by her classmates calling her “Plagiarist” constantly now instead of by name, due to the bad turn of events involving her manga.
Haruka then talks about a once a week special lesson plan at her school, locals would volunteer to teach the classroom on life lessons, allowing students to experience new people and learn about them. Haruka in particular loves to enjoy this class. To her surprise, Shinichi enters the room to do volunteer teaching.
Shinichi introduces himself as the teacher for the day, and despite the principal being strict with rules, he shall be carefree as a cloud and poetically describes that in nature, clouds must have rules to exist at all thus rules are important. One of Haruka’s classmates asks what Shinichi does for a living, believing him to be a university professor given his intellect. Shinichi says he has never had a job in his entire life, as just living is his occupation.
The students are confused by this and another student asks how Shinichi earns money to live, Shinichi states that most of the crime in the world is financially motivated, thus money is filthy, oozing with the greed and resentment of mankind. He scrubs his hands as he describes his reasoning for not carrying money. Shinichi then tells the class that once when he got a 100 yen coin, it felt slimy and squishy and then burnt his fingers. Since then, Shinichi has sworn to never touch money. Haruka is dumbfounded by his explanation. Another student asks how Shinichi is able to survive then, Shinichi responded with a haiku about love and cherry blossoms to dodge the question. Haruka thinks Shinichi has made the whole school day weird now.
Shinichi imagines he is eating soba noodles and drinking tea and the class figures that out upon looking closer at Shinichi’s movements; slurping the noodles, moving the cups to place the noodles and tea in, using “chopsticks” to simulate eating noodles. Shinichi reveals it was a test of the imagination and lectures on its power, stating that it can make a person’s life richer and tries to encourage the class to show off their imagination. Haruka’s classmates imagine playing video game consoles and eating sushi with wasabi while Haruka’s imagination gets away with her after imagining getting her manga award back and producing a new hit manga, as she then visualized being Oni Sister in battle with a Hitotsuki and does fighting stances and cartwheels. She is stopped by Taro when she tries to karate chop him, who then enters the classroom. Once Haruka snapped out of it, she sees Taro and realizes that there were two openings for volunteer teaching today.
Elsewhere, a growling invisible specter exits a house and then goes into a parking garage. It sees a man removing a sandwich from a plastic bag and throwing the bag on the ground. It puts paper on the wall that says “No Littering” and reappears to attack him, pushing the man into the paper which absorbs him. Tsubasa sees this and says that this makes another victim as he changes into Inu Brother, with Chikyuki cloaking to try to escape but he sneezed and becomes visible for a second. Tsubasa shoots him but Chikyuki cloaked again and successfully flees from the Ranger.
Back at the high school, Taro, blunt and to the point as always, gives a description of his job to the class and then tries to leave. Shinichi stops him and wonders why he is even here if he is not interested in teaching.
According to him, Taro was chosen by Shirokuma Express to do volunteer teaching because he lost a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors against his co-workers. His company was asked by the principal to have a volunteer delivery worker attend the lesson.
Some of Haruka’s more unruly female classmates ask personal questions like if Taro has a girlfriend or the color of his underwear. Unaware he is being made fun of, Taro says he has no girlfriend and checks his underwear to honestly answer they are peach colored. The class laughs at him, though Haruka tells Taro he didn’t need to answer those questions and is told to be quiet by the teasing classmates. Embarrassed, Haruka wonders why she tried to help Taro.
In the city, Chikyuki abducts an impatient elderly woman who jaywalks when a red light is still on the street signs. Tsuyoshi sees this, puts his sunglasses on and follows the trail of Chikyuki, with Tsubasa right behind him.
Back at school, Shinichi asks for Taro a personal question, if he has any friends. Taro doesn’t understand what a friend is, but he says that he would like to have a good relationship with someone someday. Shinichi then asks if Taro has any peers, to which he says he has none. Shinichi and Haruka then ask Taro what the nature of their relationship with him is, to which he responds that they are his companions. The students then wondered what their relationship is with Taro, to which he answers that temporarily they are just a teacher and his students. If they need any help, he is here to provide it. Several students ask for money, to which Taro says asking for such things does not help. If they desire such things then they need to work hard to obtain them, they have their youth and by improving themselves they can obtain what they desire.
The karate club captain Hatano speaks up, believing Taro to be arrogant and annoying, challenging him. He proceeds to punch a hole through a desk chair. Taro accepts his challenge and brings a stack of chairs, karate chopping them into oblivion, Hatano is humbled and admits defeat, sitting back down in his seat. The captain of the shogi club, Suzuki, challenges Taro next. Taro admits he only played shogi once as a child, which makes Suzuki confident he can win. Taro wants to finish this quickly, so he asks if they can do one move a minute. Suzuki thinks Taro is mocking him but accepts the terms. The two start slowly but then move at a blistering pace, Taro moves the final game piece in check and wins the game in a matter of minutes. Suzuki surrenders and sits back down.
Haruka asks Taro if they are companions, then why does he attack them, recalling all the times as Don Momotaro he shot at her or attacked the team. Taro says it is to train them all and to make sure all four of them don’t end up holding him back in a fight. Haruka narrates that it is exactly as both she and Shinichi thought it was about. Shinichi gets uncharacteristically irritated when he remembers Taro’s remarks about his poetry from the hostage incident and challenges Taro to a duel. Haruka is surprised by this as Shinichi is usually very calm. The two men then intensely stare at each other in hostility. Outside, an invisible Chikyuki heads towards the school.
Shinichi, much like Tsuyoshi did previously, envisions going into sumo, arm and thumb wrestling matches with disastrous outcomes against Taro. Realizing he can’t win a test of physical strength against him, Shinichi decides to try to outwit Taro in a duel of tongue twisters, but this proves pointless as Taro can correctly say whatever tongue twisters he makes up.
The bored students are soon attacked by Chikyuki, who captures them in paper for using cell phones in class, doing manicures, having romantic relationships, shouting and running when they begin to panic and attempting to leave when class is in session. Chikyuki then decides to take over the classroom as Taro pulls out his DonBlaster and Tsubasa and Tsuyoshi are teleported to the school.
The Donbrothers find themselves in the principal’s office with the principal, who decides to lecture them about the rules and regulations of the school, stopping to sneeze as his allergies act up again. Haruka tries to say now isn’t the time to lecture but the principal yells at her for speaking out of turn. His desire to punish students turns him into Chikyuki again and he punches Haruka in the head as punishment and begins to burn the paper that the students are trapped in, with them screaming in fear and pain as they burn. Chikyuki says if the Donbrothers continue to be unruly and disobedient then the souls of the students will burn until the papers are gone and they will then be trapped in Hell. Tsubasa thinks that the principal is nuts.
Chikyuki demands that they stand and bow to him like any student would during the start of the school day. The Donbrothers reluctantly do so and then sit down, Shinichi then gets punished for bad posture and has to thank Chikyuki for disciplining him as he says he is teaching him proper manners. Tsubasa shows an attitude towards Chikyuki, who punishes him for having no manners and the fact he is a dog, which he hates and sends him flying. He also hates pheasants and punches Tsuyoshi when he gets up to try and help instead of paying attention.
Don Momotaro laughs at this and Chikyuki tries to punish him next for sitting in such an arrogant manner, but Taro’s inhuman strength blocks his attempt to take away his fan and stops a punch meant for him by using just his finger. Chikyuki tries to hide and burns the papers faster, the four Rangers panic but Don Momotaro says all they need to do is quickly stop Chikyuki before the papers fully burn away.
Don Momotaro uses his fan to blow pollen and dust around, triggering Chikyuki’s allergies and decloaking him. He then turns the tables by punishing Chikyuki with a rapid succession of punches followed by a hard punch out an invisible door. Outside, Chikyuki materialized Anoni to aid him as the Donbrothers charge towards him.
The Noto generals sense human desire in the air and arrive near where the battle is. Sonoza laughs, which while Sonoi doesn’t mind his efforts to learn about, says he still has a ways to go to get it right. Sonoi says it is time that they amuse themselves as he transforms.
Don Momotaro is challenged by Sonoi to a duel. As the two clash, Sonoi says his foe is impressive and offers Don Momotaro the chance to join him as a “valuable servant”. Don Momotaro laughs at Sonoi, saying he would make a lousy companion. He then shifts to his Alter mode and swiftly moves around Sonoi, pushing him back. The other four Donbrothers struggle to fight Chikyuki and Haruka gets shoved aside by Don Momotaro who thinks she is just getting in the way and she sits and sulks for a second. After weakening Chikyuki, the team rallies for the Momotaro Slash and Chikyuki becomes Chikyuking.
Don ZenkaiOh is summoned and Chikyuking barrages it with magma blasts from its head. After using the sword and shield for a bit, Don Momotaro knows he is running out of time and uses the Don Leg Buster in Freezer Rounds mode to plug up Chikyuking’s volcano head and ends the fight with the Don Zenkai Crash. The Fiveman Avataro Gear ejects from Chikyuking’s body, the students return to normal and Zenkaizer Black collects the gear and walks away. The principal is restored to normal but has a terrible sneezing fit as his allergies get worse.
Don Momotaro returns to his team and berates them as their performance was not good enough. At this rate they will hold him back for sure in battle. The four dread knowing what is coming next as Taro decides a “special lesson” is in order, Shinichi tells the other three to make a run for it as Don Momotaro begins attacking them again, grabbing Haruka as the others run for their lives.
