Don 49: Last Memories (さいごのおもいで Saigo no Omoide) is the forty-ninth and penultimate episode of Avataro Sentai Donbrothers. It is the third part of the Donbrothers' four-part endgame, featuring the debut of Sonona and Sonoya.
Synopsis[]
The Donbrothers have become the strongest with the addition of the Noto Trio. Taro is about to start special training with nine people, but they are all busy, and Taro, Jiro, and Sonoshi appear there, and a 3-on-3 battle begins, but Taro wins overwhelmingly. Sonoshi and their friends set their sights on a person who has a connection with Taro in order to create the strongest Hitotsuki to counter the new Donbrothers. Who is watching the battle of the Donbrothers and the situation of Sonoshi from the shadows?
Plot[]
The episode starts with the Noto Inspectors, rewatching footage of their previous battle with the Donbrothers. They begin to fight but Sonoshi breaks them up. Meanwhile, Taro tries to gather everyone together for training, counting to make sure everyone is here, though shortly after everyone except Taro, Jiro and Sonoi left to do something. The trio get attacked by the Inspectors and end up winning the battle. After winning, Jiro introduces himself to Sonoi, to which the latter recognizes that he’s changed.
Meanwhile, Tsuyoshi quits his job because he’s moving, this ends up with him and his chief in tears. As Tsuyoshi comes down the elevator, he is met by Tsubasa and Natsumi.
After their battle, Jiro and Taro walk around a park, talking about all they’ve been through and how they changed. Jiro brings back the topic of fighting again, Sonoi appears as well, saying that he hasn’t let go of their duel either. Taro responds that he doesn’t really care about who’s strongest, which makes Jiro and Sonoi question if Taro is okay.
Tsubasa, Natsumi and Tsuyoshi sit down, with Sononi not sitting far. Tsubasa says that he doesn’t just want Tsuyoshi to forget about Miho but to get past her and become a happy man again. Before it can go any further, a cop shows up, forcing Tsubasa to run. He asks for Natsumi’s hand but she turns him down, he runs regardless and is almost caught but is saved by Sononi. Meanwhile, Natsumi and Tsuyoshi go to his house, where his house is almost finished being packed up. He tells Natsumi that he’s leaving because his house holds too many memories of Miho. Natsumi recalls how she remembers a dream of a life with Tsuyoshi. This confuses Tsuyoshi and Natsumi gives him a hug before leaving.
Meanwhile, Sonoza and Haruka are making a manga, Kaito arrives and asks them for help for a surprise. Later, Minoru Ono is cleaning a horse while his mom asks if he is going to be okay. The Inspectors arrive and forcefully transform Minoru into Ohsamaki. Ohsamaki turns on them and starts to attack the Inspectors, making them retreat. Later, the Inspectors invite the Donbrothers over for lunch so that they could explain the whole Ohsamaki situation in hopes for a temporary truce.
Ohsamaki shows up not too long and demands for battle to which everyone responds. After fighting for a couple of minutes, Taro manages to beat Ohsamaki by himself, with Sonona and Sonoya watching in the background. Taro walks into the Cafe Donbura, where he is greeted by the Donbrothers as they celebrate his birthday, though it’s not his birthday. Kaito said he accidentally messed up but they still celebrate anyway since they already made everything. The group hands their presents to Taro, who feels happiness as he’s surrounded by people who care about him, though he doesn’t want to admit it and dies because he tried to tell a lie. This makes the group (except Tsubasa, who’s shocked) celebrate over Taro’s actual feelings.
