This article is about a location in Power Rangers Dino Fury. |
Dinohenge (publicly known as the Ranger Hotline) was an old historic landmark, originally believed to be carvings of dinosaurs made a long time ago, in reality the monument was created at the end of the Great Sporix Wars by the Morphin Masters, when they bonded a few noble warriors with the spirits of the dinosaurs. Under the monument is the hidden underground chamber of Zayto and Solon. The landmark was at one time heavily guarded by Carlos Garcia, a park warden who refuses to give access of the landmark to anybody, no matter what rank or authority they hold over him.
The exterior of the monument consists of six effigies, each one a dinosaur of the prehistoric epoch: T. rex, Ankylosaurus, Triceratops, saber-tooth tiger, Stegosaurus, and Mosasaurus. If any one of these carvings is tampered with or destroyed, the Ranger associated with it is depowered, a phenomenon that was demonstrated a total of four times over three seasons.
Aside from being the source of the Dino Fury powers, Dinohenge was effectively the operations base, armory, hangar, and bio-containment facility for the modern Team Dino Fury, via the underground chamber. Solon had the bizarre habit of collecting bits and parts in order to create tools used by the Rangers. Also present in the chamber was a massive data center containing information on a multitude of subjects, including historical Ranger teams, gear, and battles.
Much to the surprise of all who have seen its interior (including Solon and several evil goons), the chamber beneath Dinohenge was revealed to be an ancient transport cruiser, though Solon herself had her own plans to build a starship that were squirreled away in a storage closet and never carried out.
During Lord Zedd's attack on Earth, the Emperor of Evil destroyed the statues, cutting the Rangers off from their powers and demorphing in the process. However, Zedd spared the Tricera Statue due to Ollie, under mind control, pledged his allegiance. Quite by accident, however, Team Dino Fury was able to escape Lord Zedd in the transport, dubbed the Cosmic Cruiser. When it was retrofitted on planet Erridus, the former Dinohenge bunker became a full-fledged starship with a medical bay, several lounges, a galley/mess hall, at least one laboratory, and a spacious bridge.
