The Dino Knight Morpher is the morphing device of the Dino Fury Red Ranger in Power Rangers Dino Fury.[1] He uses it to access his power-up form. It also transforms into Tarrick's shield, doubling as his Morpher to morph into Void Knight in this form.
History[]
The Dino Knight Morpher is first given to Zayto by the Morphin Masters, which the former used to access Dino Knight Armor during the Ancient Dino Fury Rangers' battle against Sporix Beasts when they arrived on Earth. TV STORY-Destination Dinohenge
The Morpher would later be found by Tarrick inside Area 62, who used it to create the Void Knight armor. However, he would later give it back to Zayto, allowing him to access the Dino Knight Armor again to defeat Snageye. TV STORY-The Hunt
Javi would briefly use the Morpher to access the Dino Knight Armor in order to help Zayto deal with Void King's copied attacks. TV STORY-The Copycat
The Dino Knight Morpher was destroyed after being used by Tarrick one last time to get Void Queen out of Pine Ridge. TV STORY-The Nemesis
Transformation[]
To activate the morphing sequence for Dino Knight Armor, the user would insert the Dino Knight Key in the right slot of the morpher and press the gold button, causing the key to unfold, flatten and fill the space behind the morpher, materializing the Dino Knight Armor. The armor then generates in purple/red energy manifestation, surrounding the red ranger, and then Dino Fury Red raises the morpher as the armor attaches to him in engulfed energy.
When Tarrick uses it to morph into Void Knight, he taps it once for it to materialize into his shield, and taps it again, to make the armor instantly materialize on him, completing his transformation sequence.
Special Attacks[]
By inserting a Dino Fury Key in one of the Morpher's slots, Dino Knight Red slams it on the ground as the energy spreads through shockwaves until it reaches the target. Dino Knight Red can also fill both slots with any combination of Dino Keys to further incapacitate the enemy.
- Attacks:
- Gravi Freeze: The Gravi Dino Key hits the enemy with its hammer, weighing them down with gravity while the Freeze Dino Key freezes the enemy in a block of ice.
- Mist + Cushion: Both Dino Keys shoot a beam on the ground softening it causing the enemy to sink into the ground.
Another variation of special attacks is when Dino Knight Red bumps the Chromafury Saber and the Dino Knight Morpher together, generating flaming energy through both weapons and executes a red energy slash with the saber followed by a triple yellow energy slash with the Morpher. This was only used once to destroy Crashflood alongside Dino Master Gold’s Mosa Master Strike. TV STORY-The Invasion
Finishing Strike[]
Dino Knight Red Ranger presses the central gold button on the Morpher, generating Void Knight’s energy and combining it with his own to do the Dino Knight Strike, which allows him to do a corkscrew dive and pierce the opponent with the Dino Knight Morpher. However, the technique has one weakness: it cannot be used twice, leaving the Red Ranger defenseless.
Dino Knight Red Ranger Key[]
The Dino Knight Red Ranger Key is based on the Dino Knight Red Ranger. Using this key in the Dino Fury Morpher lets him transform into his respective Ranger form. This key is only exclusive by the Hasbro toyline.
Notes[]
- The Dino Knight Morpher does not require the Red Ranger's signature energy. Hence, any of the Rangers are able to use it, with the Black Ranger being a notable example. TV STORY-The Copycat
- In the toy version, the Dino Knight Morpher is compatible with the Mega Fury Saber, a feature not shown in neither the series or its Sentai counterpart (as the aforementioned Saber is a American-exclusive weapon).
