Destruction King Battobas (破王バットバス, Haō Battobasu, 1-49, Gingaman vs. Megaranger) is the Viking-themed leader of the Battobas Majin Corps, and the fourth, final, and strongest of the Balban Generals to face the Gingamen. A weapons and tactical specialist; Battobas is considered by Captain Zahab to be "his right arm", which suggests a longer relationship between them than the rest of the generals. He also has a long relationship with Dark Merchant Biznella, whom he hired on to be his second-in-command after Captain Zahab seized Biznella's ship, as compensation for the loss of the Steel Starbeats Biznella had sold to them earlier.
History[]
Past[]
Leader of the Battobas Majin Corps, Battobas' Majins are mechanical knights themed after weapons/machines. They conduct themselves in a much more organized manner than the other Balban, functioning as a cohesive and disciplined military unit. Their Balban Extract container is an ale barrel, and they declare a "tactic change" when enlarged. 3,000 years ago, Battobas and his Majin Corps were sealed away with the rest of the Balban by the first generation of Gingamen.
Gingaman[]
Battobas is released in 1999 alongside the rest of the Balban when the seal breaks from an earthquake. Leading an army of Yartots in an invasion of the countryside and destroying buildings, Battobas is joined by the rest of the Balban but is confronted by the new generation of Gingamen who force him and the other generals to retreat.
TV STORY-Chapter 1: The Legendary Blades
Enraged that their enemies have returned after 3,000 years, Zahab turned his generals' attention to their ship, Daitanix, and that its seal still remained intact, forcing the Balban to focus on ways to revive it with Zahab offering a massive fortune as a reward to whoever managed to succeed, which excited the generals. His generals all called for one of their Majins to appear, in Battobas' case, he called for Dangs. However, they all started to argue over who should be in charge of the task, for which Shellinda broke up the fight and told them it was the captain's decision to make. Tired of their arguing, Zahab decided to end their squabble with a game of poker, where the general with the Joker card would be chosen, for which Sambash did, and was put in charge of finding an energy source capable of reviving Daitanix, which left the other generals disappointed.
TV STORY-Chapter 2: The Return of the Starbeasts
The generals are once again arguing and fighting with each other, for which Zahab pointed out that arguing and sabotaging each other was the reason they got sealed 3,000 years ago. With the return of the Starbeasts and to prevent any further arguments, Captain Zahab appoints Sambash as the new field commander and leaves Daitanix's resurrection solely in his hands, Zahab forbids Battobas, Budoh, and Iliess from interfering with any of Sambash's plans, leading to them leaving his cabin in anger.
TV STORY-Chapter 3: The Earth's Wisdom
Following the death of Sambash at the hands of the Gingaman, Iliess and Battobas urge Captain Zahab to choose one of them to be the new field commander to revive Daitanix, however, Budoh is appointed by the captain as the new field commander, where he hopes to seek out the Lights of Ginga that were brought to Earth 3,000 years ago by the warrior Sambash killed before they were sealed away, leaving Iliess and Battobas disappointed.
TV STORY-Chapter 13: Beast Attack Reversal
After the Gingamen obtained the Lights of Ginga, Zahab met with his remaining crew and informed them that Budoh will commit seppuku for his betrayal. He decided it was time to select the next field commander. Battobas was eager to volunteer, but Bucrates suggested to Zahab that Iliess be chosen as he doesn't understand the meaning of the seal on Daitanix. Suddenly, a Yahtot informed the crew that Budoh escaped from his cell. After being convinced by Bucrates, Zahab agreed and selected Iliess to be the next field commander, leaving Battobas disappointed over not being selected.
TV STORY-Chapter 24: Budoh's Tenacity
After Iliess' multiple failures, Zahab decided to take a different approach to defeat the Gingamen. He asks Battobas to contact their old friend: Dark Merchant Biznella, to come to Earth and sell them some special weapons. Biznella arrives on the Rowdy Invincible Castle and greets Battobas, but gets down to business. He presents Zahab with a remote control to his special weapons, but that he needs an incredible amount of energy to power it. Biznella borrows a squad of Yahtots and captures Hikaru and Hyuga in an attempt to harvest Hikaru's Earth as a power source. Though he fails, thanks to a clever ruse by Hikaru, when the other Gingamen arrive and attempt to destroy him with the Ginga War Radiance, Biznella manages to feed the power of their attack into the control unit, enabling him to summon his special weapons: the Steel Starbeasts GigaRhinos, GigaPhoenix, and GigaBitus to fight GoTaurus and GingaiOh, who themselves are unwilling to fight against their own kind.
TV STORY-Chapter 29: Dark Merchant
Following the success of their first battle, Biznella sold the Steel Starbeasts to the Balban for five chests of gold, which Zahab agreed to, which angered Iliess, but not before Zahab offered to increase her reward for reviving Daitanix if she also destroyed the Gingamen and their Starbeasts with the Steel Starbeasts, which she easily agreed to, and was given the remote for them. She called for the Majin Barukibaruki to handle it and gave the remote to him to control them. However, the Steel Starbeasts managed to regain their independence and sided with the Gingamen before destroying Barukibaruki. This resulted in Biznella having to refund the Balban's payment with his ship as added interest, leaving Biznella trapped on Earth and in total despair. However, Battobas reminded him of who he was and asked Zahab if he could take him under his protection, to which the captain allowed and Biznella was thankful towards Battobas for granting him this second chance.
TV STORY-Chapter 30: The Steel Starbeasts
After he and Biznella discovered that Daitanix's long period of inactivity was causing his body to decay as the seal was only lifted halfway. They informed Captain Zahab and Shellinda of their discovery and said that if Daitanix wasn't revived soon, it would sink to the bottom of the sea. Zahab wished to tell Iliess to hurry with her plans, Battobas and Biznella tried to convince him that swift action was needed to ensure the Balban didn't lose their method of transportation, but the captain assured his old friend that his time will come, which left Battobas upset.
TV STORY-Chapter 33: Yearning for Saya
Battobas is seen with Biznella having a conversation with Zahab and Shellinda, where he is confused as to why Iliess is still in charge of reviving Daitanix, where they discussed whether or not Iliess succeeds or fails, they could use her soul gem to partially revive Daitanix and reawaken its heart to keep their ship from sinking into the ocean. Although Iliess fought well against the Gingamen, she is destroyed by GingaiOh's Great Galaxy Beast King Cut. Afterwards, Bucrates recovered her soul gem and attempted to revive her with a ritual but was struck down by Zahab, who revealed he knew how he and Iliess had framed Budoh for treason during the hunt for the Lights of Ginga. As Bucrates tried to grab Iliess' soul gem, Battobas shattered it with his axe, with the intention of using the shards to reawaken Daitanix's heart. As Bucrates passes out from his wounds, Zahab appoints Battobas as the new field commander, which he gladly accepts.
TV STORY-Chapter 34: Invulnerable Iliess
He and Biznella then sacrifice Iliess' soul gem and succeed in reawakening Daitanix's heart, so now Battobas's goal was to gain enough energy to fully revive the Demon Beast, with Biznella serving as his right hand man and operations strategist.
TV STORY-Chapter 35: Gouki's Choice
Battobas succeeded, but upon Daitanix's destruction, he is later sent to find the Earth Demon Beast to mature and empower it fully with Extreme Growth Extract.
He later is sent to deal with the traitor Bucrates and Hyuga, sealing Bucrates in a cave and engaging the Black Knight in battle before Hyuga retreats.
TV STORY-Chapter 48: The End of Moak
He later succeeds in maturing the Earth Demon Beast with the Extreme Growth Extract, though while fighting off the Gingamen and Black Knight, he ends up being eaten alive along with the Extreme Growth Extract, by the monster. Any trace of him is destroyed when GingaiOh, GigaRhinos, and GigaPhoenix destroy the Earth Demon Beast.
TV STORY-Chapter 49: The Mountain of Miracles
He is revived and killed once again by the Gingaman in the Galaxy Lights armor in Gingaman VS Megaranger.
