Haniwa Ventriloquist (ハニワ腹話術師 Haniwa Fukuwajutsushi, 16) was one of the toughest Gorma Minions ever to fight the Dairangers. He was vase- and puppet-themed.
History[]
Puppet
One of the hardest Gorma to kill, as the versions of Haniwwa Ventriloquist that the Dairangers kill are actually puppets controlled by the real Haniwa Ventriloquist. He works under Gara and is given the mission to change children into stone statues so that the Gorma blood will awaken in them and they'd have an entire army of new recruits to conquer Earth. The original is taken out by the Great Wheel Blades Dairinken Chi Power Shoot and the second (created from the remains of the first) is taken out by Daigo's Star Sword's Dual Sword Cut. The true Haniwa Ventriloquist is deduced to be the small puppet going around turning children to stone. After Daigo shoots it with his DaiBuster, destroying the third incarnation, the puppet produces a Growth Bomb and drops off a small ledge. The subsequent explosion not only makes him grow but gives him an entirely new humanoid puppet form similar to the fake ones. In spite of this however, the Haniwa Ventriloquist is finally killed by Dairen'Oh's Raging Hurricane Winds after they electrocute him using his own wires which he tries to manipulate them with.
Personality[]
The Haniwa Ventriloquist kept up the persona of a kind a playful person but was secretly a violent sadist obsessed with petrifying children.

- Psychic Control-The Haniwa Ventriloquist was able to telepathically control and fight with his fake puppets.
- Petrification-The Haniwa Ventriloquist was able to turn children to stone by flashing his eyes red and then firing a massive red beam from them over his victims.
- Gorma Conversion-Being petrified by the Haniwa Ventriloquist could apparently awaken the evil blood inside the children to make them an army for the Gorma.
Abilities[]
- Hand to Hand Combat-The Haniwa Ventriloquist had a signature fighting style, the Haniwa Fist which served as the perfect counter to Daigo's own Lion Fist fighting style.
- Puppet Manipulation Technique-The Haniwa Ventriloquist's signature technique where he fired blue energy from his right palm to tie up his enemies and manipulate them to obey him.
Weaknesses[]
- True Form-The Haniwa Ventriloquist's true form was a tiny figurine of himself that could reform his puppets infinitely post-destruction. However, destroying the true body would destroy the puppets forever and free his victims.
Arsenal[]
- Sword-The Haniwa Ventriloquist's puppets wielded large swords and the real Ventriloquist wielded one after being enlarged.
- Growth Bomb-The true Haniwa Ventriloquist used his own Growth Bomb after being shot by Daigo's DaiBuster.

Portrayal[]
- The voice of both forms of Haniwa Ventriloquest was the late Hiroshi Masuoka who would later more notably voice GaoGod in Hyakuju Sentai Gaoranger seven years later.
Design[]
The Haniwa Ventriloquist is based on Haniwa statues. These are terracotta clay statues that were found near graves from the Kofun period (ca. 250-538 AD) in Japan.

Etymology[]
- Haniwa Ventriloquist follows the naming scheme of his fellow Gorma Tribe Members. The first part of his name comes from Haniwa which are terracotta clay figures that were made for ritual use. The second part of his name comes from ventriloquist which means a person that can speak or utter sounds so that they seem to come from somewhere else, This word also relates to comedian who use those skill with puppets.

Signalman's class.
- Haniwa Ventriloquist is the only Gorma Minion to get a special scene in the Dairanger opening where it rides a bicycle like the Dairangers themselves.
- Haniwa Ventriloquist's head was re-used as an alien classmate of the young Signalman in the Gekisou Sentai Carranger episode "Ep. 22: The Tragic Traffic Rule Habit."
