Decibat is a cicada/vampire-themed monster that has the ability to emit a shrieking soundwave from the speakers on his shoulders. Before being used with Trakeena's army, he was seen walking around outside, in the background, on Onyx in "Heir to the Throne".
History
Decibat is among the monsters attending the auction for the Pink Quasar Saber on Onyx as seen in "Protect the Quasar Saber".

TV STORY-Protect the Quasar Saber
He was seemingly recruited by Villamax and/or Kegler, before being ordered by Trakeena to attack Terra Venture. In his first attack Damon destroyed one of his subwoofers and he retreated, but Kegler repaired it and made him even louder when he returned. He shattered the glass in buildings and made towers rumble. Baxter, GSA's recently appointed chief mechanic built a Ultrasonic Transmitter (from a blueprint he'd stolen from Damon Henderson) and attempted to send an similar soundwave into Decibat's back, canceling out his waves. However, Decibat returned fire with his own sonic blasts. Following help from Damon, Baxter fired again and Decibat's speakers became shattered. With Decibat powerless, the Rangers used the Lights of Orion Power-Up Mode to destroy him. He also wielded a blade, and a conductor's staff, in battle. TV STORY-Turn Up the Volume
Personality
Decibat is a cruel, cunning monster who loves his own idea of fun, which is to make as much noise as possible. His main weapon being his speakers, he uses them to toss around the Rangers and give new Pink Ranger Karone a harsh crash course in being a Ranger (he doesn't recognize her as Astronema only referring to her as "Pinky", having apparently no interaction with the United Alliance of Evil). He's also a bit cowardly as he always runs away when his speakers are broken. Despite this, he's loyal to Trakeena.
Powers and Abilities
Powers
Sound Blast: By using his shoulder-mounted loud speakers, Decibat can unleash powerful soundwaves capable of causing intense pain to humans within hearing range, as well as shattering glass. Once Kegler upgraded Decibat's loud speakers, the soundwaves themselves increased in power and versatility to the point that they can lift and knock back the Rangers backwards, as well as bypassing any sound-proof objects (such as ear muffs).

- He is the last monster to be used by Trakeena.
- He is the only standalone episode monster to battle Karone as the Pink Ranger.
- Back in early 2003, shortly after the series changed hands from Saban Entertainment to Disney, some of the monster costumes, including Decibat (minus the hands and boots and with the head of Neo-Bat Nezire who was unused in Power Rangers in Space), were auctioned off by ABC Auctions. It sold for $250.
