Daniel O'Halloran was the Pink Ranger of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers team formed in 1969.
Daniel was a student and a member of the counterculture movement in the 1960s, protesting political issues of the era such as the Vietnam War. He was chosen by Zordon to be the Pink Ranger, a selection Daniel was not happy with.
He was the second of the 1969 Ranger team to be killed in action, as Psycho Green fired a powerful blast of energy at close range that cracked his visor open, exposing Daniel to decompression and asphyxiating his lungs from the lack of oxygen. Following the battle, Daniel's body was transported back to the Command Center along with the other deceased rangers. His body was later prepared for burial and Zordon took back the Pterodactyl Power Coin as well as the other Power Coins.
- Daniel is the first male Pink Ranger seen in Power Rangers franchise, through the Boom! Studios Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic spin-off.
- Daniel is the first male Pink Ranger seen in Power Rangers. Coincidentally, his status as an earlier incarnation of the Pink Mighty Morphin Power Ranger echoes the appearance of a male PteraRanger among an all-Pink Gokai Change seen in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger vs. Uchuu Keiji Gavan: The Movie. As this change was not adapted to the Legendary Ranger Modes of Power Rangers Super Megaforce, a male Pink Ranger has yet to appear in on-screen Power Rangers.
