This article is about an episode in Power Rangers RPM. |
Control-Alt-Delete is the twenty-seventh episode of Power Rangers RPM. It is the final part in the three-episode arc regarding the final battle with General Shifter and the revelation that Tenaya 7 is Dillon's sister. It also features Tenaya's transformation into her upgraded form: Tenaya 15.
Synopsis[]
Dillon’s search for Tenaya is put on hold when Scott is in trouble. Scott was shot with a key that allows Shifter to control him. The Rangers do their best to save their leader when they come face to face with Tenaya 15. She has been reprogrammed with one mission; Serve Venjix.
Plot[]
Kilobyte is working on a new weapon at Venjix Palace. He states that his "new sidekick" will be Generation 15 and suggests trying it out on the rogue General Shifter. Venjix tells him to wait, and that when the weapon is completed, Shifter will pay for his betrayal.
Meanwhile, Scott, Summer, and Flynn accompany Dillon on retracing the path to Venix Palace. Gem and Gemma tell Scott that they're ready to go when needed; Scott tells them to stay put, much to their disappointment. Dillon and Flynn begin to argue when they cannot find Venjix Palace. Scott breaks up the argument before collapsing from sudden chest pain.
Back at the lab, Scott insists that he feels better and that he must have eaten something bad. Summer suspects otherwise, and Doctor K confirms her suspicion.
A powered-up General Shifter claims that the world will know his true brilliance before sending out a signal with a remote control device. The signal causes Scott to collapse again, until Shifter uses the control pad to make Scott stand up.
At Venix Palace, Kilobyte completes his new weapon, and Venjix states that the only thing the weapon needs is a mission.
Meanwhile, Doctor K is researching Scott's condition. Dillon asks if it is the Venix Virus, and Doctor K states that it is not. Gem and Gemma arrive and report that Scott has gone missing. The group are interrupted by an alert of an attack downtown. The Rangers head into battle while Doctor K scans for Scott's whereabouts.
Shifter launches an attack on Corinth, and the Rangers engage him in battle. Then, Shifter reveals that he is in control of Scott and prompts Scott to attack his fellow Rangers against his will. Dillon deduces that the control key in Scott's chest is the cause. The other Rangers cannot get a clear shot on Shifter without putting Scott in harm's way. Suddenly, Shifter is attacked and momentarily incapacitated by an unknown assailant. His control pad is destroyed, releasing Scott from Shifter's control and ejecting the key from his body. The Rangers realize the attack came from Tenaya. Dillon believes she came to save them, but she introduces herself as Tenaya 15, and attacks Dillon. She declares that Venjix will rule the world before leaving.
Meanwhile, an enraged Shifter recovers and grows to giant size. The Rangers, minus Scott, pilot their Zords and engage Shifter once again. Flynn orders the team to form the RPM Ultrazord. The Ultrazord overpowers Shifter and defeats him.
Scott pursues Shifter, now normal size and without the key's power, and engages him in a final duel that ends with Shifter being destroyed for good.
Back at the lab, Doctor K reveals that the key allowed Shifter to control Scott's mind, and that they can re-purpose the damaged key to momentarily incapacitate Tenaya and bring her in to cure her brainwashing.
Tenaya 15 leads the Dumbbell Bot into battle while Venjix orders Kilobyte to begin building him a new body using Shifter's remains, to Kilobyte's dismay.
The Rangers fight the Dumbbell Bot while Dillon reluctantly fights Tenaya. Tenaya is about to finish off Dillon when her energy levels run low, and she turns to leave, giving Dillon a clear shot. However, Dillon notices the other Rangers being overwhelmed by the Dumbbell Bot. After briefly hesitating, Dillon ultimately uses the key to incapacitate the Dumbbell Bot, letting Tenaya escape. Dillon rejoins the other Rangers and they defeat the Dumbbell Bot, until it grows to giant size.
Scott summons the Road Attack Zord while Gem and Gemma form the Mach Megazord, and together the two Megazords finally destroy the Dumbbell Bot.
Back at the lab, Gem and Gemma decline Ziggy's offer to get rich by selling replica control keys while Dillon laments not being able to save Tenaya. Summer insists there is still time, but Doctor K reveals that the Venjix virus has spread to 40% of Dillon's body. Once the virus reaches 50%, Dillon will begin to succumb to Venjix's control, and there is no way to stop it. Summer looks at Dillon sadly.

Errors[]
- Upon a closer inspection in the scene where Flynn says "On it." his mouth does not move.
- Scott's American accent slips when he says "Alright, let's shake things up a little bit."
- When Shifter drops the Rangers, they appear to be de-morphing, but in the next scene they remain morphed, due to the switch from Japanese to American footage.
- Doctor K suggests that Shifter's key allowed him to control Scott's mind, but in reality Shifter was only controlling Scott's body, as he was fully aware that he was being controlled and tried to resist, to no avail.
Notes[]
- This episode features a final modification to the opening titles to show Tenaya's change.
- This is the only time the Rangers use the RPM Ultrazord without Scott.
- Although it has a different name this episode is continued from the previous two episodes, "Key to the Past" and "Beyond a Doubt".
- The title of this episode refers to the Ctrl - Alt - Del soft-reset sequence for IBM-compatible computers that also opens the Task Manager in Microsoft Windows, sometimes called the "three-finger salute" .
- Shifter is finally destroyed for good, but his remains are recycled to make a new body for Venjix.
