The Compliance Collars are a recurring mind control device in the Hasbro Era of the Power Rangers franchise.
Nature[]
The Compliance Collars are massive silver metal collars that render the wearers mindless slaves to the owners. Their nature is unknown however since they are always shown being recreated on villains even when the masters were completely different people.
Object History[]
The Compliance Collars are first introduced by Ryjack after he allies with Evox and his forces to escape Captain Chaku. Using Vargoyle's blaster, he recreates Vargoyle with his Reanimizer but he is wearing a Compliance Collar which enslaves him to Ryjack's will. This is later destroyed when Devon energy slashes it in half with his Beast-X Saber which breaks Vargoyle free of his control but he is soon destroyed for good anyway. TV STORY-Intruder Alert!
After Ryjack's demise, Blaze and Roxy kidnap Keeper after Zoey accidently attaches a Compliance Collar to him so Evox can get him to reveal how to create a new Zord. The Dino Charge Rangers and Beast Morphers Rangers eventually rescue Keeper and rip the Compliance Collar off of him. TV STORY-Finders Keepers
A year later, Reaghoul somehow acquires a Compliance Collar and uses it to control Lord Zedd after he resurrects the villain from his peak of evil. After attacking Area 62, Reaghoul and Void Knight forge an alliance for the former to get a Sporix Egg if he can wipe out the Dino Fury Rangers with Reaghoul also recreating Brineblast and Wolfgang (both with Compliance Collars) for help. They manage to capture four of them with the Sleepy Cuffs but Ollie is able to destroy Zedd's Compliance Collar who then beats down the Rangers and monsters before leaving to get his Z Staff. With their Compliance Collars destroyed by Zedd in the battle, they enlarge but are defeated for good by the Dino Fury Megazord Blade Formation. TV STORY-Old Foes
Powers[]
- Creation Appearance: The Compliance Collars appear upon victims immediately after their recreation.
- Durability: The first Compliance Collar was unable to be ripped off by Vargoyle but any powerful hit usually destroy these devices.
- Mind Control: The Compliance Collars render any wearers completely mindless slaves to the owner unless destroyed.
Notes[]
- The Compliance Collars had no Sentai counterparts and were created to explain why violent and traitorous villains like Vargoyle and Lord Zedd served other villains.
