Ryo Jason Lee Scott
Ryo was not from the previous Sentai season. Jason was from the first season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Ryo was an adult and never in high school. Jason was already a teenager and is still in high school.
Ryo was a chef. Jason was a karate instructor.
Ryo stayed throughout the entire season. Jason passed his powers to Rocky DeSantos in the mid-season shortly after chosen to attend a peace conference.
He was a leader of his team throughout the series. Jason retained as a leader from the previous season, though he stepped down from being a leader when Tommy Oliver took over.
Ryo only piloted the RyuseiOh, but not the Tyrannosaurus. Jason piloted the Tyrannosaurus Dinozord and Tyrannosaurus Red Dragon Thunderzord.
Ryo only used one set of powers. Never became KingRanger. Jason later became the Gold Zeo Ranger.
Ryo returned in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger for a tribute episode. Jason did not return in Power Rangers Super Megaforce as part of a cameo for the final episode expect only in costume.
