Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Season 1)

Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Season 1)
The sixteenth installment in Super Sentai. Apart from introducing regular Sixth Rangers in Sentai, this season was not particularly remarkable in Japan. The first installment of Power Rangers and therefore the most recognizable and iconic series of the franchise.
Followed the story of five ancient warriors who fought millenia earlier, then returned. Followed the story of five high school students who were summoned and empowered anew.
Introduced the team's Robo in the sixth episode. Introduced the Megazord in the first episode.
Lasted for 50 episodes. Lasted for 60 episodes, then led to a second and third season.
TigerRanger is male. Yellow Ranger is female.
The mecha were sentient godlike beings. The Zords were robotic vehicles based on prehistoric creatures.
The series has an independent story that is not influenced by previous Sentai series and would not influence future installments. The first season in a larger continuity spanning multiple seasons. Characters from this season will be carried over to the next, and several would reappear multiple times in future seasons.
Geki and Burai are related, with Burai eventually giving his life. Jason and Tommy are not related (although they do refer to each other as “bros”), nor does Tommy die (he turns into the White Ranger for the next season).
Not all monsters were evil creations made of clay. Some of them were neutral or even benevolent creatures either forced or misled into fighting the Zyurangers. All monsters are fully evil minions of Rita and were originally clay creations, with the exception of Mr. Ticklesneezer, which was fashioned out of one of Trini's dolls and did not seem to be instinctually evil.
Multiple monsters had human forms which they used in their plans. Only Pineoctopus displayed the ability to turn into a human.
The monsters were based on magical creatures that lived alongside the dinosaurs and ancient humanity. The monsters were alien soldiers Rita apparently used earlier in her war against the forces of good.
The main villains are all sealed away in the season finale. Only Rita gets sealed. Everyone else ends up working for new villain Lord Zedd in season 2, and Rita herself would return and marry Zedd later in the season.
Segments with Bandora and her henchmen are kept in the original footage. Segments with Rita and her henchmen are added with special Zyuranger footage.
