Ryuya Alex
Captain Ryuya tried to alter time so he would not die, as revealed in his own history. Alex tried to prevent time from being altered.
Captain Ryuya did not have a relationship with Yuri. Alex was engaged to be married to Jennifer Scotts.
Captain Ryuya originally used the TimeFire powers, but also briefly became TimeRed. Alex only used the Red Time Force Ranger powers. Never used the Quantum Ranger powers.
Captain Ryuya is killed at the end of the series by Ayase. Alex is "killed" at the start by Ransik but is later revealed to be alive.
Released Gien from Don Dolnero's spirit key. Did not free Frax from Ransik's control.
Needed Gien to cause the Great Annihilation. Wanted to stop Frax from destroying the future.
Captain Ryuya did not save Wataru Asami's life. Alex saved Mr. Collins' life.
Refused to send the Time Robo to help the TimeRanger during the finale because his plan was complete. Was unable to send the Time Force Megazord during the finale due to the time warps caused by Doomtron.
Actively tried to prevent the TimeRanger from going back to help Tatsuya. Allowed the Time Force Rangers to go back to help Wes stop Ransik.
Captain Ryuya is the true main enemy of the series. Alex is considered an ally and only causes turmoil as opposed to being a wire-puller of all events.
Captain Ryuya is the main antagonist. Alex is a recurring anti-hero.
