Commander Stanton is the captain of Terra Venture.
History[]
While he is obviously bound by duty (he decides not to halt the voyage to return a young stowaway) 
TV STORY-Homesick, he still finds time for his only family, his daughter Jodie Stanton, and eventually learns to make the ultimate sacrifice as he ditches an ailing Terra Venture to save its people. TV STORY-Journey's End
