The Combatant Kuros (戦闘員クローズ Sentō-in Kurōzu) are the train robber-themed foot soldiers serving the Shadow Line. They are armed with tommy guns that can also be used as an axe-like weapon once folded up.

Chou Super Hero Taisen[]
Kuros of Chou Shocker Taisen.
A pack of Kuros led by an iteration of Zet Shin were among the Shocker
army of the Game World led by Shocker Leader III, the boss of the Chou Shocker Taisen bonus stage. This army was ultimately wiped out by a combined force of Sentai Rangers and Kamen Riders.

- The Kuros are voiced by Yuki Anai (穴井 勇輝 Anai Yūki), Kazuki Komine (小峰 一己 Komine Kazuki), Suguru Narisawa (成澤 卓 Narisawa Suguru)[1], and Jun Miyaoi (宮負 潤 Miyaoi Jun). Also, Kei Sato (佐藤慧 Sato Kei) in his first Tokukatsu role. They are portrayed by various unidentified suit actors.

- Their design is based on a train robber.
- The Kuros' axe weapons are a reference to the Axe Gang, a group of Chinese thieves founded around the time when the Japanese occupied China who used axes as their weapons.

- Their names are derived from "kuro" (黒), the Japanese word for "black".

A Gangler Monster that resembles a partially-repainted Kuros.
- A Kuros' costume was partially-repainted and used to serve as an unidentified Gangler Monster in Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger Number 1: The Troublemaking Phantom Thieves.
- The Kuros suits would be modified and reused in the 11th episode of Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger as unnamed foot soldiers.

Super Sentai Battle: Dice-O[]
As the then-incumbent foot soldier army, the Kuros were added to the arcade game Super Sentai Battle: Dice-O where, as on TV, their job is to take the punishment dished out by the Super Sentai teams.
