This article is about a changer in Mirai Sentai Timeranger. |
"Chrono Changer!"
The Chrono Changers (クロノチェンジャー Kurono Chenjā) are transformation bracelets the Timerangers wear on their wrists, created by the crime fighting unit of the future. The Timerangers can remove their regular clothes to reveal a special bodysuit called Inner Suit (インナースーツ Innā Sūtsu) and transform using the activation call "Chrono Changer" (クロノチェンジャー Kurono Chenjā). The Timerangers gain access to their weapons from the Chrono Changer through the command Chrono Access (クロノアクセス Kurono Akusesu). Initially, the four visiting Timerangers couldn't transform in the 20th century for their first transformation without a fifth member, causing them to get Tatsuya to become TimeRed.
Because of the sensitive 30th century technology within the device, it has to be taken care of precisely; this is generally done by Sion who either fixes the Chrono Changers when they blow out (such as due to a temporal pulse used by Mercenary Org) or makes adjustments to allow for the Timeranger to function in certain circumstances such as the incident in taking down the device set up by Sadist Gougan which awakens the darker impulses within people to turn them violent. The Timerangers can access the Accel Stop (アクセルストップ Akuseru Sutoppu) ability to temporarily boost their speed, even go invisible, at the cost of durability. It is used several times for normal attacks as well as special attacks such as TimeYellow and TimeBlue's Vector Hurricane (ベクターハリケーン Bekutā Harikēn).
At the climax of the Legend War, the Chrono Changers were made redundant when the Timerangers sacrificed their powers with the rest of the first 34 Super Sentai to destroy the invasion force of the Space Empire Zangyack. Resurfacing as Ranger Keys, the Timeranger powers would be used by the Gokaigers to assume their forms via the Gokai Change. Ultimately, the Gokaigers returned their borrowed powers to their rightful owners after overthrowing Zangyack.

Notes[]
- In the production of episode 12 of Lupinranger VS Patranger, the Chrono Changer prop was repurposed as a Lupin Collection piece.
- As seen in episode 38, if one does not have enough energy and sleep, they will be unable to transform into a Timeranger.
