Chromites were General Havoc's elite robotic foot soldiers.
History
According to General Havoc, they feel no pain, and with no need to breathe, they are excellent fighters both on land and underwater, wielding staff-like weapons that can fire blasts of energy. They come in pink, blue, white, and green bodies and are seen piloting the Turbo Megazord while it's under Divatox's control, as well as other vehicles. A special Chromite was modified to create the Shadow Rangers.

Etymology
As multicolored grunts, Chromites is a construct of Greek chroma ("color", "pigment") with the suffix -ite, which has varying uses and origins; this particular usage implies membership in a class or group of objects, ergo "thing having color".
