The Wind's Flute (風の笛 Kaze no Fue) is the tenth episode of Seiju Sentai Gingaman. It introduces Miharu, Hayate's fiance of the Ginga Forest; as well as starts a season-long rivalry between GingaGreen and the Balban's Steerwoman Shellinda.
Synopsis[]
When a Majin tries to use noise to revive Daitanix, Hayate's flute-playing may be the only remedy to deal with it; despite the memories and danger brought about by this.
Plot[]
Hayate briefly feuds over Ryoma and returning to Ginga Forest. Hayate believes they had firmly put Ginga Forest behind them, just like Miharu. Yuta wonders who Miharu is, but the Gingaman are soon called into the city to fight a band of loud Yartots and their master Sutoijii.
The Barban are attempting to wake up Daitanix with noise, which seems to be working. However, the fight between Sutoijii and the Gingaman ends prematurely as Hayate arrives playing his flute. GingaPink informs Sutoijii that the sound of a Wind Warrior's flute can dilute other noise. Frustrated, Shellinda arrives on Earth, throwing her sword to slice Hayate's flute in half. She blasts him, knocking him down. GingaRed breaks Sutoijii's instruments in return. The Gingaman carry the injured, fevered Hayate back to Moak.
Moak discerns the Barban's plans to use noise to waken Daitanix. Yuuta suggests getting a new flute for Hayate, but his flute was made from Wind Wood from a Ginga Forest and can only be played by Hayate. Moak luckily finds similar wood on Mount Iwafuki. Hayate awakens and tells them he wants to do it, citing today as the perfect day to make a flute. Ryoma and Hayate leave to make preparations. Yuuta inquires what this means, and Saya, Gouki, and Hikaru explain - today was supposed to be the date of Hayate's wedding to Miharu, but she's now sealed at the bottom of the lake with the rest of Ginga Forest.
Ryoma and a still-injured Hayate scale Mount Iwafumi, with Hayate experiencing flashbacks of Miharu. The song he plays on the flute is a song of good fortune taught by Miharu's grandmother, and Miharu wanted him to play it on their wedding day, and the flute is also Miharu's. Ryoma briefly comforts Hayate and they resume their climb, finding the trees in question.
His own weapons fixed, Sutoijii resumes his "concert", breaking things around the city. Sambash arrives, as well as Hikaru, Saya, and Gouki. The Ginga trio try to fight, but Sutoijii's music is too loud, leaving them open to Sambash's gunfire.
Hayate tries playing the new flute as Moak calls them back into action. As he prepares to leave, Shellinda and her Yartots attack Hayate and Ryoma, knocking them off Mount Iwafumi into the waters below. She orders the Yartots to search as Ryoma and Hayate sneak away. Ryoma offers to use himself as bait so Hayate can make it out. Hayate has another solution. Hayate blows his flute, and uses his Earth to make the sound like it's coming from the wind, rendering the Barban unable to find its place of origin. Not stumped yet, Shellinda plays a song on her own shell flute to find the location of the real flute. As her Yartots descend on the location, they find Ryoma instead of Hayate. Shellinda soon finds that Hayate is perched atop a peak of Mount Iwafumi, playing his flute from there.
Shellinda casts lightning at Ryoma and moves to take out Hayate.
Sambash stops his assault on GingaYellow, Blue, and Pink as Sutoijii futilely tries to raise his noise levels. GingaYellow uses the opportunity to use his Earth to blow apart Sutoijii's weapon again.
Shellinda confronts Hayate at the peak just as he collapses, finished with his song. He transforms into GingaGreen to fight her sword against sword. GingaRed watches from the bush. The two blades clash, and Shellinda drops her sword, having been cut. She casts lightning again and disappears, promising to have her revenge.
GingaGreen and GingaRed arrive to help the other Gingaman against Sutoijii and Sambash. Sutoijii drinks the Barban Extract and grows. GingaGreen calls in Gingalcon and the other Starbeasts, which soon transform into their Silver forms and form GingaiOh. Sutoijii resumes his sonic bombardment until Gingaleon shuts him up with Silver Flame. GingaGreen then finishes him off with GingaiOh's sword slices and the Galcon Bowgun's Meteor Bullet.
Shellinda nurses her cut, once again vowing revenge against GingaGreen.
The Ginga warriors hold a feast to raise Hayate's spirits, but neither Ryoma nor Hayate are present. Outside, Hayate is playing Miharu's song. He reminisces her amidst the sunset while Ryoma looks on.
